I have relived a history on both of my animals after months and months of disrespect and deadly allergies being exposed to my animals and the humans. They have had multiple reminders and I know for sure the very first appointment I told them a list of medications they take and the allergy list. Yet none of it was on the medical reports and I was sent home with deadly allergies multiple times. They are not respectful with ownership and refuse to talk to me about the issues to try to resolve them. They have nuts, latex, and gluten all over their place, and have been told that those are deadly allergies. Yet after many talks and being lied to that these things would be added to the chart they never were. I strongly suggest you save your money and lives of loved ones and go somewhere else.

Can’t say enough good things! This is a unique place. I came here because Michelle Rhodes is a veterinarian here and I love her. The environment here is the most ‘homey’ and warm of any vets office I’ve been to, and they treat you and your pets like family. The staff members are all friendly, helpful, and provide you with detailed info for your pet. Highly recommend!!! This place is like no other.

I realize that having a pet either a dog or a cat in my case two cats can be very expensive and are a great responsibility... my cat sunny was displaying signs of having worms and I had to address that because if one cat has it then probably the other cat does.. so I take my two cats up to Union Hill to be seen by the doctor... the doctor there is a very compassionate kind and caring towards the animals as well as the people that work there... my cat Sonny was given a thorough wellness check and the other cat was looked at 2... the only thing that I'm not satisfied with by their services is that they did not administer the worm medication to both cats... after all when you bring a patient in to be seen by a doctor in this case the patient were my cats you would think that the doctor would administer the medication instead of giving it to me to do it... especially when you're paying $277... which was a week's wage of work... one would think as professional as they are that they would administer the medication to the patient... THE CAT'S... when we called them back and ask them why had they done this the answer we got was well you should have asked us to... I go back in 2 weeks with a stool sample and I hope the worm problem is gone... Blessed Be

Union Hill Animal Hospital has taken great care of our beloved corgi, Tilly, for the past three years. They were very patient with us as first-time dog owners and fielded a variety of calls and visits from us as we got to know our furry roommate. From regular checkups to urgent visits, Union Hill Animal Hospital has always been there for us. Tilly's little tail nub goes crazy for her favorite vet tech (Jordan!) and will happily give kisses to the rest of the staff. Even after we moved about 30 minutes away, I insisted we keep going to UHAM---they've been so good to us, I can't stand the thought of going anywhere else.

We moved to Kansas City about 7 months ago with our two cats and have been absolutely thrilled with Union Hill Animal Hospital. One of our cats injured her leg badly and the vets/techs helped find an alternative method (as opposed to surgery) and she fully recovered! Everyone there is very helpful, knowledgeable, and full of suggestions and recommendations. They make appointments as convenient as possible. They truly care about our pets and we value that a lot. I have been very impressed with their clinic and would highly recommend their services.

And they are extremely reasonable with their prices! My pup is always very anxious coming to the vet & they do an amazing job at handling him. The entire staff has been so great. My partner and I have been caring for our elderly family member's 10 year old dog for a few years. We are spoiled by Union Hill Animal Hospital. Dr. Belew is so respectful. When we had a poor experience at an emergency hospital, we left a voicemail on a weekend and she texted us the same day to check in on our dog, reassure us, and scheduled to call us on her day out of the office. Normally during a visit, she explains all of the evidence she has that leads her to a certain diagnosis and she always gives us lots of information about how to best care for our dog. I'm not a vet, but I have a degree in science. I really respect how she gives me ownership of that information and a full understanding of the situation so that I can make the best decision for my family. Also, the staff always refers to us as our dogs family, rather than his owners. It's small stuff like that which makes a huge personal difference. Dr. Belew and the staff always give us all of our financial and treatment options and is thoughtful about our family's decision making process.

We have seen both Dr. Rhodes & Dr. Belew and interacted with multiple staff members and all have been knowledgeable, friendly and love our pets! It is obvious that an "above and beyond" culture is highly promoted- in one example, after they squeezed in our puppy for an acute event with very little notice, a staff member sent a text to follow up on his status a couple of days later. We highly recommend Union Hill Animal Hospital to anyone looking for a great veterinary office experience!

Great clinic - people who really care about the pets and do a superb job of laying out your options. They went out of their way to get us in at day's end even though we had not been there previously. This was after the clinic we had used for 38 years refused to get us in for an emergency.
Can't say enough about the level of professionalism shown. They are now the Vet of choice for our family!

Seriously, I am not one that just hands out 5-star reviews but this place was the bee's knees! Last week was my dog's first visit and the minute I walked in they treated me as if I had been going there for years - treated Penny (my dog) the same way. The facility was nice and clean too! Dr. Belew was great with Penny and really great at giving me (realistic) at home suggestions for issues I was having with Penny. I HIGHLY recommend this hospital! Great little gem hidden in the city.

The most amazing staff! They were understanding and patient with my doggo and gave me a lot of really helpful information and showed lots of love to her. We had a bad experience earlier in the day trying to get spayed at a different local clinic, she's a reactive pit bull and sounds aggressive even if she just wants attention so she barked uncontrollably and made the entire clinic, both people and dogs upset. It was so uncomfortable and the staff was so unwilling to work with us we had to just leave. She's been through some recent traumas(having puppies, a tornado, and a big move) that resulted in some behavioral issues so it was frustrating to feel helpless and have people stare at us when I was trying the best I could to calm my dog in a very chaotic and stressful environment. The animal hospital took every step imaginable to keep my reactive pit calm, they got us back to a room immediately so she wouldn't see other dogs, and it was really great to see my baby at ease. She only briefly barked once and they handled it with grace. The environment was clean and relaxing with no bad smells and I will be back for her spay soon. I'm really glad we found a better option. This is 5 star service!

I was in crisis mode for 3 days when my cat had a bladder emergency and needed fluids and observation. No other vet would see me, including my primary vet. They referred me back to the emergency vet which I could not go back to because of the cost. I'm so grateful for them, especially Dr. Rhodes. Such a great and caring vet. The staff is so friendly as well! What a great place that obviously puts the well being of the animals first and treats the owners with respect. This is hard to find.

I moved from KC a couple months ago, but I have to thank this animal hospital. My shiba appeared to be excited with every visit. That staff always commented on how sweet she is and she usually isn't outgoing when it comes to strangers. The staff is very nice and I felt comfortable and that they were knowledgeable. Shibas are susceptible to Glaucoma so we frequently got her eye pressure checked. With each visit, I walked away knowing I was in good hands. Thank you for your excellent service!

Union Hill saved my best friend's life. My cat Frank got a string wrapped around his tongue and into his intestines and Dr. Whitney was able to surgically remove it and now my buddy is recovering well. The front desk, technicians and vets are great, I was thoroughly aware of all of my options, they saved me a substantial amount of money and I felt comfortable with their care. I am in Kansas City for a couple months for work, and now, having been here, I don't think I will ever take my dog anywhere else if I can help it. I don't care how many hours it will take me to drive here. The 'fear free' approach that they take is perfect for any dog in my opinion, but especially for my dog who was abused before I adopted him at the shelter, and also had a couple of semi-violent vet incidents regarding vaccinations and an ear infection. Both the doctor and the vet techs were fabulous. I will certainly be back.

Both of my puppies have only been to Union Hill Animal Hospital. We love all of the staff there and they've loved my dogs as well. They've been great with my fur babies and make the visits enjoyable. The prices are reasonable as well. My puppy has recently had some health issues which was more expensive (understandably so with all the meds/food/treatment), but still reasonable. However, typical visits aren't bad price-wise. They are also pretty quick about getting you into an appointment. My one negative would be that sometimes they will say they'll call and I typically end up calling because I haven't heard from them (maybe I'm not patient enough :) ). I've recently moved a little farther away but we still make the trip to Union Hill Animal Hospital! Love the staff and treatment of my pets!

My family adores him and we were heartbroken when he retired.That said, Dr. Belew and her staff have been fantastic. They have gone above and beyond to get my pets the care they need. I can and have recommended her to my friends and family. Dr. Belew is on top of the latest research. She is kind, careful, creative and flexible. She runs a very tech savvy office. You can make appointment, confirm appointments, etc. online. Her vet tech is so sweet with the animals, friendly with people & a good communicator. If your fur family needs a doctor, I think you will be very happy with Dr. Belew!

Dr. Maxwell is the best! There's not much to elaborate on. Take your cherished pet in, hopefully for nothing serious, let Dr. Maxwell take a look. He'll come back with some questions and a diagnosis or an idea of how to get one! I've never had a vet take the time to really elaborate on what concerns you may have and make sure you are fully satisfied before leaving. I just really like my experiences here.My fur babies aren't afraid of the office or anyone there, that's a plus! It's just a really good vet office.

I wouldn't take my dog anywhere else but here. Dr. Maxwell is fantastic. He is compassionate, friendly, and clearly loves what he does and loves each and every little furry thing that comes in. What I really appreciate is that he's down to earth and matter of fact. He tells you what you need to know, makes suggestions and generally just understands the concerns pet owners have. He talks to you like a fellow pet owner who has dealt with similar issues and not just like a vet. He's not looking to press you into things your dog doesn't really need or that serve no purpose. He just wants your dog (or cat or whatever) to be healthy and happy and you to feel informed and comfortable with whatever is going on with your pet.The reception staff/nurses and everyone that works there is fantastic. They always are polite, know their clients (human and otherwise) and are also quite helpful on the phone if you have questions. The location is handy for anyone in the central part of the city.

My cat died in his office while waiting 4 the vet. Receptionist told us just to leave him (he was still alive then) & the vet would see him momentarily. He was, btw, a rescue cat we had 4 a coupla wks. Well, momentarily came & went b4 we received a call from afore-mentioned receptionist, who explained that said cat was dead b 4 vet had gotten around 2 him. Several wks later, 2 our surprise, we received a rather large bill 4 an office visit. Sure was expensive 4 having never seen the vet & his brilliant diagnosis of "DEAD."

Dr. Maxwell has been great with my dogs. He's kind and caring, and he doesn't recommend unnecessary testing or services. The people in his clinic have all been very nice and helpful.I've been bringing my dogs to Union Hill for over 10 years. I first visited the clinic when I lived in the neighborhood. I've since moved to another neighborhood, and even though there are more convenient vets nearby, I still drive a little further to see Dr. Maxwell. I've had dogs a long time and I've known several good vets (as well as a couple of really bad ones), but Dr. Maxwell is my favorite.

I took my dog here to get some antibiotics. A couple of weeks later he began to lose his balance and was very dizzy. I took him to the ER and my original vet in St. Joseph. Both of the doctors told me that the dose for my 11lb. dog was too high and he was having mini-seizures. I am so worried about him. He is at the St. joe vet right now, getting blood work done and is hooked up to an IV.When I called Union Hill, they told me I would have to pay an office visit to come in. Frankly, I think they owe me complimentary services for nearly killing my dog. I am out $200 bucks so far, and I just want the little guy to be okay.4/19/2012 UPDATE:My total bill is now up to $370 and my poor dog had to stay overnight at my old vets office. He had to be given an IV drip with anti-seizure medicine. I am so glad he is going to be okay. I get to pick him up today!

Union Hill Animal Hospital has been nothing short of fantastic! Right around the time I switched over to using them, my dog went through several scary episodes. The first was a car accident where he injured himself in his panic. Several months later we went through the difficult and lengthy process of determining he had Addison's Disease. The entire time, the staff went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of and had everything we needed. They were very accessible and easy to work with. We are now on a first name basis with the entire staff (and aren't the only ones). It's very clear that everyone at Union Hill is personally invested in the animals they see. My dog (like many) has never liked being in a vet's office, but he has no problem going here and loves seeing the staff. I highly recommend Union Hill to anyone! They do a great job with the animals, are professional, very friendly and well priced.

Simply amazing. I rescued a Boston Terrier- and she had recently been spayed- she needed her stitches out- and her eyers were a bit red- they got me in right away. Union Hill Animal Hospital is fantastic. Dr. Maxwell is the owner and only vet at UHAH. He is so kind and gentle. He spends so much time with the animal and the owner that you never feel rushed. He has many years of experience and is still open to new, holistic approaches also. He is not pushy and there is a wisdom about him. I can't express enough how "kind" and "gentle" describe him to a T!The office manager (or receptionist extraordinaire) that has been with Dr. Maxwell for years is Bonnie. She is about as sweet as they come. She is every businesses dream because she ALWAYS remembers your name, your animals name and facts about you both. Either from a phone call or from the time you walk in the door, even if you don't have an appointment or have had a year or more of time in between visits. I don't know how she does it but she is amazing.The vet assistant is Matt. He is truly a dog whisperer. He is so gentle and kind and I swear if you have a dog that doesn't like his nails clipped, Matt can do it. All the people that fill in between the above mentioned, are all wonderful too.Vet's are very personal to all pet owners. It's a personal connection just as important as finding the right doctor for yourself. This is the best place I have found and if you are looking for someone, I would highly suggest trying Dr. Maxwell at Union Hill Animal Hospital.

I have relived a history on both of my animals after months and months of disrespect and deadly allergies being exposed to my animals and the humans. They have had multiple reminders and I know for sure the very first appointment I told them a list of medications they take and the allergy list. Yet none of it was on the medical reports and I was sent home with deadly allergies multiple times. They are not respectful with ownership and refuse to talk to me about the issues to try to resolve them. They have nuts, latex, and gluten all over their place, and have been told that those are deadly allergies. Yet after many talks and being lied to that these things would be added to the chart they never were. I strongly suggest you save your money and lives of loved ones and go somewhere else.

Can’t say enough good things! This is a unique place. I came here because Michelle Rhodes is a veterinarian here and I love her. The environment here is the most ‘homey’ and warm of any vets office I’ve been to, and they treat you and your pets like family. The staff members are all friendly, helpful, and provide you with detailed info for your pet. Highly recommend!!! This place is like no other.

I realize that having a pet either a dog or a cat in my case two cats can be very expensive and are a great responsibility... my cat sunny was displaying signs of having worms and I had to address that because if one cat has it then probably the other cat does.. so I take my two cats up to Union Hill to be seen by the doctor... the doctor there is a very compassionate kind and caring towards the animals as well as the people that work there... my cat Sonny was given a thorough wellness check and the other cat was looked at 2... the only thing that I'm not satisfied with by their services is that they did not administer the worm medication to both cats... after all when you bring a patient in to be seen by a doctor in this case the patient were my cats you would think that the doctor would administer the medication instead of giving it to me to do it... especially when you're paying $277... which was a week's wage of work... one would think as professional as they are that they would administer the medication to the patient... THE CAT'S... when we called them back and ask them why had they done this the answer we got was well you should have asked us to... I go back in 2 weeks with a stool sample and I hope the worm problem is gone... Blessed Be

Union Hill Animal Hospital has taken great care of our beloved corgi, Tilly, for the past three years. They were very patient with us as first-time dog owners and fielded a variety of calls and visits from us as we got to know our furry roommate. From regular checkups to urgent visits, Union Hill Animal Hospital has always been there for us. Tilly's little tail nub goes crazy for her favorite vet tech (Jordan!) and will happily give kisses to the rest of the staff. Even after we moved about 30 minutes away, I insisted we keep going to UHAM---they've been so good to us, I can't stand the thought of going anywhere else.

We moved to Kansas City about 7 months ago with our two cats and have been absolutely thrilled with Union Hill Animal Hospital. One of our cats injured her leg badly and the vets/techs helped find an alternative method (as opposed to surgery) and she fully recovered! Everyone there is very helpful, knowledgeable, and full of suggestions and recommendations. They make appointments as convenient as possible. They truly care about our pets and we value that a lot. I have been very impressed with their clinic and would highly recommend their services.

Dr. Belew and her staff is amazing!!! I have been searching for a good vet for 7 years...finally!! They don't bombard you with unnecessary treatment plans like my old vet did. And they are extremely reasonable with their prices! My pup is always very anxious coming to the vet & they do an amazing job at handling him. The entire staff has been so great. Particularly Abigail and Tracy. along with Dr. Belew. And I really love that Dr. Belew will call you herself to see how my dog is doing if he is sick. Highly recommend taking your animals here.

My partner and I have been caring for our elderly family member's 10 year old dog for a few years. We are spoiled by Union Hill Animal Hospital. Dr. Belew is so respectful. When we had a poor experience at an emergency hospital, we left a voicemail on a weekend and she texted us the same day to check in on our dog, reassure us, and scheduled to call us on her day out of the office. Normally during a visit, she explains all of the evidence she has that leads her to a certain diagnosis and she always gives us lots of information about how to best care for our dog. I'm not a vet, but I have a degree in science. I really respect how she gives me ownership of that information and a full understanding of the situation so that I can make the best decision for my family. Also, the staff always refers to us as our dogs family, rather than his owners. It's small stuff like that which makes a huge personal difference. Dr. Belew and the staff always give us all of our financial and treatment options and is thoughtful about our family's decision making process.

We are fairy new to Union Hill Animal Hospital but we already love it! We have seen both Dr. Rhodes & Dr. Belew and interacted with multiple staff members and all have been knowledgeable, friendly and love our pets! It is obvious that an "above and beyond" culture is highly promoted- in one example, after they squeezed in our puppy for an acute event with very little notice, a staff member sent a text to follow up on his status a couple of days later. We highly recommend Union Hill Animal Hospital to anyone looking for a great veterinary office experience!

Great clinic - people who really care about the pets and do a superb job of laying out your options. They went out of their way to get us in at day's end even though we had not been there previously. This was after the clinic we had used for 38 years refused to get us in for an emergency.
Can't say enough about the level of professionalism shown. They are now the Vet of choice for our family!

Seriously, I am not one that just hands out 5-star reviews but this place was the bee's knees! Last week was my dog's first visit and the minute I walked in they treated me as if I had been going there for years - treated Penny (my dog) the same way. The facility was nice and clean too! Dr. Belew was great with Penny and really great at giving me (realistic) at home suggestions for issues I was having with Penny. I HIGHLY recommend this hospital! Great little gem hidden in the city.

The most amazing staff! They were understanding and patient with my doggo and gave me a lot of really helpful information and showed lots of love to her. We had a bad experience earlier in the day trying to get spayed at a different local clinic, she's a reactive pit bull and sounds aggressive even if she just wants attention so she barked uncontrollably and made the entire clinic, both people and dogs upset. It was so uncomfortable and the staff was so unwilling to work with us we had to just leave. She's been through some recent traumas(having puppies, a tornado, and a big move) that resulted in some behavioral issues so it was frustrating to feel helpless and have people stare at us when I was trying the best I could to calm my dog in a very chaotic and stressful environment. The animal hospital took every step imaginable to keep my reactive pit calm, they got us back to a room immediately so she wouldn't see other dogs, and it was really great to see my baby at ease. She only briefly barked once and they handled it with grace. The environment was clean and relaxing with no bad smells and I will be back for her spay soon. I'm really glad we found a better option. This is 5 star service!

My cat has a chronic condition that flares up badly from time to time. I've been taking him to Dr Belew since last summer. She and the staff have always gone above and beyond what I ever would have expected. She is easy to get ahold of any time I have questions and is also very understanding of financial limitations. Everyone here really loves the animals they take care of and I've never felt like just another customer.

I had an emergency situation with my 8 wk old puppy. I called multiple vets looking for an appointment. All you other places I called were closing early for the New Year's holiday. They made an exception for me and got me in the same day. The staff was professional, fast and friendly. It was obvious the staff genuinely cared about the health of my dog! Above and beyond. I was in crisis mode for 3 days when my cat had a bladder emergency and needed fluids and observation. No other vet would see me, including my primary vet. They referred me back to the emergency vet which I could not go back to because of the cost. I'm so grateful for them, especially Dr. Rhodes. Such a great and caring vet. The staff is so friendly as well! What a great place that obviously puts the well being of the animals first and treats the owners with respect. This is hard to find.

I moved from KC a couple months ago, but I have to thank this animal hospital. My shiba appeared to be excited with every visit. That staff always commented on how sweet she is and she usually isn't outgoing when it comes to strangers. The staff is very nice and I felt comfortable and that they were knowledgeable. Shibas are susceptible to Glaucoma so we frequently got her eye pressure checked. With each visit, I walked away knowing I was in good hands. Thank you for your excellent service!

My cat Frank got a string wrapped around his tongue and into his intestines and Dr. Whitney was able to surgically remove it and now my buddy is recovering well. The front desk, technicians and vets are great, I was thoroughly aware of all of my options, they saved me a substantial amount of money and I felt comfortable with their care. I am in Kansas City for a couple months for work, and now, having been here, I don't think I will ever take my dog anywhere else if I can help it. I don't care how many hours it will take me to drive here. The 'fear free' approach that they take is perfect for any dog in my opinion, but especially for my dog who was abused before I adopted him at the shelter, and also had a couple of semi-violent vet incidents regarding vaccinations and an ear infection. Both the doctor and the vet techs were fabulous. I will certainly be back.

Both of my puppies have only been to Union Hill Animal Hospital. We love all of the staff there and they've loved my dogs as well. They've been great with my fur babies and make the visits enjoyable. The prices are reasonable as well. My puppy has recently had some health issues which was more expensive (understandably so with all the meds/food/treatment), but still reasonable. However, typical visits aren't bad price-wise. They are also pretty quick about getting you into an appointment. My one negative would be that sometimes they will say they'll call and I typically end up calling because I haven't heard from them (maybe I'm not patient enough :) ). I've recently moved a little farther away but we still make the trip to Union Hill Animal Hospital! Love the staff and treatment of my pets!

My family adores him and we were heartbroken when he retired.That said, Dr. Belew and her staff have been fantastic. They have gone above and beyond to get my pets the care they need. I can and have recommended her to my friends and family. Dr. Belew is on top of the latest research. She is kind, careful, creative and flexible. She runs a very tech savvy office. You can make appointment, confirm appointments, etc. online. Her vet tech is so sweet with the animals, friendly with people & a good communicator. If your fur family needs a doctor, I think you will be very happy with Dr. Belew!

My wife and I took our Chihuahua Chachi her for a couple of years before losing him in June of this year at 17 years old. As many others have mentioned, he truly addresses your concerns and makes sure you know what the options are. My husband and I brought our first dog ever to Dr. Maxwell, and he gave us great suggestions and encouraged us in our new pet ownership. He provides great candid advice and isn't trying to oversell you on anything. We certainly miss him now that we've moved away from Kansas City! Highly recommend!!

I've never had a vet take the time to really elaborate on what concerns you may have and make sure you are fully satisfied before leaving. I just really like my experiences here.My fur babies aren't afraid of the office or anyone there, that's a plus! It's just a really good vet office.

I wouldn't take my dog anywhere else but here. Dr. Maxwell is fantastic. He is compassionate, friendly, and clearly loves what he does and loves each and every little furry thing that comes in. What I really appreciate is that he's down to earth and matter of fact. He tells you what you need to know, makes suggestions and generally just understands the concerns pet owners have. He talks to you like a fellow pet owner who has dealt with similar issues and not just like a vet. He's not looking to press you into things your dog doesn't really need or that serve no purpose. He just wants your dog (or cat or whatever) to be healthy and happy and you to feel informed and comfortable with whatever is going on with your pet.The reception staff/nurses and everyone that works there is fantastic. They always are polite, know their clients (human and otherwise) and are also quite helpful on the phone if you have questions. The location is handy for anyone in the central part of the city.

He was, btw, a rescue cat we had 4 a coupla wks. Well, momentarily came & went b4 we received a call from afore-mentioned receptionist, who explained that said cat was dead b 4 vet had gotten around 2 him. Several wks later, 2 our surprise, we received a rather large bill 4 an office visit. Sure was expensive 4 having never seen the vet & his brilliant diagnosis of "DEAD."

The people in his clinic have all been very nice and helpful.I've been bringing my dogs to Union Hill for over 10 years. I first visited the clinic when I lived in the neighborhood. I've since moved to another neighborhood, and even though there are more convenient vets nearby, I still drive a little further to see Dr. Maxwell. I've had dogs a long time and I've known several good vets (as well as a couple of really bad ones), but Dr. Maxwell is my favorite.

I took my dog here to get some antibiotics. A couple of weeks later he began to lose his balance and was very dizzy. I took him to the ER and my original vet in St. Joseph. Both of the doctors told me that the dose for my 11lb. dog was too high and he was having mini-seizures. I am so worried about him. He is at the St. joe vet right now, getting blood work done and is hooked up to an IV.When I called Union Hill, they told me I would have to pay an office visit to come in. Frankly, I think they owe me complimentary services for nearly killing my dog. I am out $200 bucks so far, and I just want the little guy to be okay.4/19/2012 UPDATE:My total bill is now up to $370 and my poor dog had to stay overnight at my old vets office. He had to be given an IV drip with anti-seizure medicine. I am so glad he is going to be okay. I get to pick him up today!

Union Hill Animal Hospital has been nothing short of fantastic! Right around the time I switched over to using them, my dog went through several scary episodes. The first was a car accident where he injured himself in his panic. Several months later we went through the difficult and lengthy process of determining he had Addison's Disease. The entire time, the staff went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of and had everything we needed. They were very accessible and easy to work with. We are now on a first name basis with the entire staff (and aren't the only ones). It's very clear that everyone at Union Hill is personally invested in the animals they see. My dog (like many) has never liked being in a vet's office, but he has no problem going here and loves seeing the staff. I highly recommend Union Hill to anyone! They do a great job with the animals, are professional, very friendly and well priced.

Union Hill Animal Hospital is fantastic. Dr. Maxwell is the owner and only vet at UHAH. He is so kind and gentle. He spends so much time with the animal and the owner that you never feel rushed. He has many years of experience and is still open to new, holistic approaches also. He is not pushy and there is a wisdom about him. I can't express enough how "kind" and "gentle" describe him to a T!The office manager (or receptionist extraordinaire) that has been with Dr. Maxwell for years is Bonnie. She is about as sweet as they come. She is every businesses dream because she ALWAYS remembers your name, your animals name and facts about you both. Either from a phone call or from the time you walk in the door, even if you don't have an appointment or have had a year or more of time in between visits. I don't know how she does it but she is amazing.The vet assistant is Matt. He is truly a dog whisperer. He is so gentle and kind and I swear if you have a dog that doesn't like his nails clipped, Matt can do it. All the people that fill in between the above mentioned, are all wonderful too.Vet's are very personal to all pet owners. It's a personal connection just as important as finding the right doctor for yourself. This is the best place I have found and if you are looking for someone, I would highly suggest trying Dr. Maxwell at Union Hill Animal Hospital.
