My wife and I first met Dr. Margaret Farnon through another local vet's office and loved her from the get-go. Unfortunately, when she moved on and we lost touch, we made the mistake of sticking with that other vet - which worked okay until our sweet Lab mix, Kaija, started showing signs of kidney disease and our vet completely dropped the ball (impossible to get hold of, not returning our calls, etc.). At the moment when we needed him most, he completely blew us off. As my wi...fe and I were trying to figure out what to do, we remembered Dr. Margaret and tracked her down to Clark Animal Hospital. To cut to the chase, Dr. Margaret is everything our previous vet wasn't and everything that a truly great veterinarian should be: passionate about animals, compassionate, available to her patients, thorough and exceptionally knowledgeable. As we tried to understand Kaija's disease and slow its progression, we had absolute confidence that Dr. Margaret was leaving no stone unturned in trying to fight it with us: every type of kidney diet available, different medications, fluid therapy, etc. Where our previous vet couldn't be bothered, she was there for us, calling regularly to check in and see how Kaija was doing. In the end, Kaija's disease took her from us prematurely but we know in our hearts that, with Dr. Margaret's expert care and guidance, we truly did everything possible to give her more time. If we have any regrets, it's simply that we didn't have Dr. Margaret as Kaija's primary vet for her entire life with us and whenever we're ready to open our hearts to another animal, she will absolutely be our first choice. Clark Animal Hospital is easily one of the best veterinary hospitals in Saint Louis. My dogs LOVE Dr. Margaret Farnon. From quickly diagnosing mystery illnesses that stumped other vets, to patiently handling a high strung, nervous, vocal setter, the quality and skill of medicine practiced here is hard to match. The dogs, including the aforementioned mess of a setter, are so happy to visit their friend Dr. Margaret that they pull us into the clinic and exam room. I've never seen dogs so excited to go to the vet. The other vets are also wonderful, but we value Dr. Margaret so much that we usually see her. My friend brings her dog here from Texas due to the high quality of care. The prices are reasonable, and the vet techs and staff are very friendly and caring. We love Clark Animal Hospital! I have been a client at Clark Animal Hospital for 30 years. Having had over 30 dogs and cats in that period and having seen every Vet in the practice over the years I can attest that Clark has extremely high standards and top-notch care. I do not price shop when it comes to the care of my animals. When my dogs and cats had colon cancer, angiosarcomas, hyperthyroidism, diabetes, dental abscesses, mast cell tumors, and kidney failure I could trust Clark to take care of them and guide me. I took my french bulldog in to Clark Animal Hospital because of his skin. He was having bad spots show up all over. My dog is 100 times better in three weeks since our visit. Clark Animal Hospital provides outstanding veterinary care. The office feels like a home so both the owners and patients feel comfortable. The vets are very experienced and very compassionate when serious medical conditions arise. They are more than twice as expensive as anyone else in town...is their care twice as good? I doubt it. And some of the doctors talk in an annoying babytalk to you like you don't have a brain in your head. Very quick with the meds and extra tests too. After a year and a half we bailed for a cheaper and just as good vet. Read Less
