We have been taking our cat to Cedar Creek Veterinary Hospital since 1999. Recently moving from Lee's Summit, we can only hope that we find a veterinarian and assistants for our cat that provides the care, concern and love that he received from Dr. Marjara and staff at Cedar Creek. Every time we had to go to the clinic, we (I, my husband and Blondie) were warmly greeted and knew that he would be well cared for. I have been going to this Vet for a few years now and I have had only the best experience, I think they really care for our pets and never ever have turned me away or delayed any appointments. Their prices are very reasonable for those who expect quality work. they are one of the few AAHA certified clinics in the Kansas City area. My dogs and I are always treated with respect and wonderful care. Dr Marjara is honest and very caring and will tell you everything up front, she has an awesome team! Over the phone I was told it would be $500 for the total bill. I went to pick up my dog not even 10 minutes after getting off the phone, and some how the bill jumped to $800 with no explanation of why. When we got home my dogs stitches were loose, and he had a foot wrap that was barely hanging on. We had to take him to a different vet to get the stitches taken care of. This place makes me sick. Like I said if you enjoy sub par care and being ripped off you should diffinatly take your pets here. If you don't like that sort of thing, I highly recommend Green Summit animal hospital. Read Less

I went to Dr. Marjara for years with my animals and she always did a wonderful job. Over the last 6 months of 2012, though, her level of dedication has changed dramatically. I have been turned away for appointments many times because she needs to leave by noon or told that she was out for the entire day. I have had the excuses of house shopping, running errands, etc. I used to be able to count on her but I have had to seek out other veterinarians for help for my beloved pet. Her own staff has made comments to me that she is out so often they are having trouble dealing with it. I also discovered after frequenting other veterinary hospitals, that her prices are much, much higher than the others. So, yes, she is a good veterinarian, but if you need someone you can count on for long term care, I would recommend seeking someone different. Read Less

I'm pretty sure their ""doctor"", Inderjit Marjara only has her license from from a third world country. I have been the happy parent to 4 cats in my lifetime, and when I adopted my 5th I took him to Cedar Creek for a neuter and front declaw. I opted for their ""advanced"" laser surgery that claimed ""greater precision, faster healing time and less bleeding"" than the traditional scalpel. My poor kitten was in bandages for weeks and pain medicine for a month. When I picked him up 3 days after surgery- longer than I've ever waited to pick up my other cats- his white paws and legs caked with blood. The Vet Assistant said he'd been crying non stop while in their care, but they did nothing to comfort him. As it turns out they CHARGE YOU EXTRA TO PET AND HOLD YOUR ANIMAL!!! She then handed me a bill for nearly $500. When I called other vets for estimates for the same procedure, they ranged from $180-275 AND they take the time to show your pet affection at NO ADDITIONAL COST. I had to take my kitten to another vet to receive the care he needed for the TWO TOES Cedar Creek hacked off and the doctor said no professional would have done such a terrible job or caused an animal so much pain. I told Marjara I would be turning her in to the Better Business Bureau and MO Veterinary License Board. She had a man, who I found out to be her husband call me repeatedly with threats, lawsuits and saying it's illegal to call the BBB (obviously, it's not). I filed a police report for harassment and they placed a restraining order on the doctor and her husband. Cedar Creek should be ASHAMED of themselves for conducting business this way - mutilating their patients and threatening their clients. Read Less

I love the staff at Cedar Creek! Not only do they know me by name, but everytime we go in there I feel like a part of the family. My dog actually gets very excited when we enter the door!! When I went in to get heartworm prevention, Dr Marjara saw me and stopped what she was doing at the computer and came and asked about my human children (by name) before telling me to say hello to my dog (again by name). I could tell she really cared and remembered me. Thats not something I got from my last vet!! As long as I have pets I will be making Dr. Marjara and the staff at Cedar Creek, part of my family as much as I feel I am part of theirs. Read Less

Just moved to town, we were looking for a good veterinarian and were luckily reffered to Cedar Creek, they are outstanding, i have never seen such quality of care, I think for those of us who care about our pets there is none better .i have three dogs and two cats, my 12 year old lab is behaving like a pup again.The doctor did the right tests and the treatments are working, i cant stand vets who just push drugs for no reason , i give this business10 stars. We took our cat to clean his teeth and they said if there is an extraction then it will be between 20-50 and for a cat it should be on the lower end of that. They called during the procedure and said it would be 56. I do not like how they made it sound cheap and then the actual price was more then the highest number given. I feel deceived. Last year, I felt they were too expensive when we took our puppy in to get her fixed and shots. I should have listened to my gut then. My mother-in-law had just made a comment supporting the same feeling a few days ago. We are switching. I forgot to mention, when I called to complain about the pricing. The doctor was not apologetic and told me not to argue about her expertise. This was when I tried to remind her of what she had told the nurse in front of me the day they gave us the quote. The best service we have ever received...we were just passing through town when our pet fell ill and we needed urgent care. The staff at Cedar Creek were extremely professional and caring; not only with our pet lab but willing helped us make arrangements for our unplanned overnight stay. They made us feel right at home! This is the best place for the best price. I take my 2 cats here for grooming and the lady is awesome. I used to go to Golden Paws and I caught that girl over charging me and she was rude sometimes. She also didn't do a good job. She tried to scam me twice and charged me an extra $20 each time.Cedar Creek is the best ....I totally recommend this place over any other in Lees Summit!! Read Less

boy, talk about efficiency and service, my pets have had nothing but the best, this clinic has great personel, over 30 years experience and also have a personal service where your pet is given 1:1 service after any procedure and you receive 1/2 hourly updates from them too. They have really modern equipment, nice cottage like building, very homely. dont expect any big hospital mentality here, cant get any more family oriented, i have been going there since i was a child with my grandfather and i now take my kids along with me!
