Staff were all very nice. You can't make an appointment, the wait wasn't horrible but was a little long. The vet was great with my dogs. She seemed knowledgeable about each breed (I took in 3 different breeds for vaccines) and took the time to examine and comfort each one. Reasonably priced. Read Less

As a kid my mom always took our pets here, but it wasn't until I took a cat I had adopted off the streets here a couple years ago when she was really sick that I realized just how amazing this office is. After being told by another vet office she was young and healthy, chipman said she was a senior and ran several tests to find out that she had FIV. She was fine for a while but eventually it became time to make a difficult decision. Chipman gave me all my options and assured me they would help me through whichever one I chose. They made sure I was well informed so that I could make the best decision. I decided to let her pain go away. My boyfriend and I came in for it and were very emotional, but didn't feel awkward for it. Everyone was very understanding, sympathetic, it felt like I was surrounded by friends that were going to help me through it. We still take our other animals here and will never go anywhere else. I've been going there for 18 years or so now and although I've tried other clinics, I've always returned to them. They have high-quality, experienced doctors who have always considered the people behind the pets. Fair pricing, nice new location. I'd love to see a small window during the day for scheduled appointments but they're still worth the wait. Read Less

The vet I had implied that I should euthanize or "return" my 8-month-old kitten after the cat was handled aggressively by her (my kitten retaliated with claws out, after giving many, many warning signals to this vet). The vet referred to this isolated incident with a generally well-behaved cat as proof that she's a "mean animal" and if I'm "sure I want to keep her," I should spend the next two months only feeding her with no playtime. I'm genuinely sorry she was clawed, but it's not appropriate to go up to a cat and immediately lift her tail with no warning or introduction. She's a real animal, not a toy. Her words and actions showed a blatant disrespect for my sweet kitten, not something I want in a vet. This kitten had a wonderful experience with another vet in the practice, until I found out that because they had skipped the fecal sample, her case of worms (relatively common in cats brought into shelters from the wild) would have been caught earlier. This practice does not make appointments (all walk-in) and the vet you get depends on who is working that day. That's not a way to develop a relationship. I've had plenty of fantastic, loving vets in my life this one is the worst.Read Less

Dr. Rooney has been our vet for about 25 years and we don't know what we would have done without him! He's very caring and never in a hurry and has always been there for our pet family. We have had 3 golden retrievers and always a few cats too that Todd and his team have cared for through all of their many illnesses and injuries over the years. I will be forever thankful to Dr Holt and the staff that nursed my little Rosco back to health. The care, compassion and love for him that they showed was refreshing. It's kind of a long review, but a great story and why I wouldn't go anywhere else. My boyfriend and I adopted Rosco from animal control in early May. The next day he got neutered and we brought him home that night. Overnight he started vomiting every hour. It was horrible. We took our little Rosco in and saw Dr Holt the next morning. He was diagnosed with Parvovirus, which I knew from a previous dog could be potentially deadly. There was no option for us but to treat him and Dr Holt took him immediately. I was absolutely heartbroken and scared out of my mind. Dr Holt and the staff were absolutely fantastic. Dr Holt called us twice a day to give us updates and went up multiple times to see him during her time off. 4 days later we got to bring our sweet Rosco home, where he was welcomed by our 2 other furbabies. As I sit here and write this I'm watching him wrestle with his "brother." He is now a crazy, playful, and very loving dog. I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else to have my dogs treated. Last Friday I had to have my sweet 15 year old kitty, Jack, put to sleep. Dr. Holt has seen him several times over the last couple months, and has been AMAZING and went above and beyond every time. I will never take my furry babies to anyone else. You can tell she genuinely cares.
