Great attention to our pets and everyone is always friendly. I do think it is a little pricey but our dogs are always treated the best. We have used their boarding service several times and our dog comes home happy, not traumatized. Read Less

This clinic obviously doesn't need new patients. We live very close, so I thought I would try a a different vet. An hour before close they wouldn't see the cat staring 'we close in 45 minutes'. Not, we are full, not you have to have an appointment - we close in 45 minutes. I was literally outside the clinic.  Obviously, healing sick pets isn't as big a priority as being sure they don't stay late. Read Less

I'm new to the area and was in search of a place to board our dog during our vacation.  I noticed that several of the pet boarding businesses had negative comments on Yelp. Although Green Summit didn't have many reviews, the reviews were positive.  I was impressed from the first phone conversation.  It turned out Duke was due for shots, so they arranged for his check up during his stay.  He also got a bath.  Everyone was courteous, kind and true animal lovers.  I'm relieved to have found my new vet, groomer, and pet boarding, all in one location. Couldn't ask for better care for my pets! The entire staff at Green Summit is amazing! I appreciate them going over everything when I drop my pet off and how flexible and accommodating they are. Before finding Green Summit I had an emergency visit with my dog to a Vet Clinic in KC and I felt like they took advantage of me in a desperate situation. We started going to Green Summit a couple years ago and ran into a emergency issues with our cat. Tabitha went over all the pricing and explained everything that Dr Church would be doing and never once did I feel I was being taken advantage of. Our pets are a part of our family and I appreciate the quality care we receive at Green Summit. We also switched over to their dog and cat food as we found out that the expensive stuff I was buying was making our cat sick! I'm buying good food for them and it's cheaper! Green Summit Animal Clinic is fabulous! My wife and I have 3 rescue dogs currently but started going to them with our, at the time, 10 yr old Husky/German Shephard mix several years ago. They do everything you need on a regular basis: medical care, grooming, boarding and supply sales. We have had some tough decisions to make and Dr. Church and her husband Steve have always been knowledgeable, helpful and compassionate. We have a French Bulldog, Henry, and our cat Little Britches. They have both received the most loving, competent care. Litttle Britches has been cared for by Dr. Church since she moved to Green Summit Animal Clinic. Henry will be two years old soon and has been cared for since he became part of our family at 12 weeks old.We have had everything from a simple nail trim, to a complicated stomach surgery done by the clinic. Our dog loves them still! The staff is welcoming and takes care of all our needs. We often feel they love our pets as much as we do. I have known Dr Church since 2004 when we met her at a previous clinic. When she moved to Green Summit Animal Clinic my family and I followed without hesitation. I have repeatedly trusted both Dr Church and Dr Nelson with our animals care and will continue to do so. All of the staff and doctors at this clinic have integrity. They explain their diagnosis and encourage questions, offer at least 2 or 3 treatment options (from my personal experience) and give a realistic prognosis. They are sensitive to the financial situations of the families and have always respected our limits. They have shared our joy in bringing in a puppy for a first exam but also shown tremendous compassion at the end of an animals life. I really believe they grieve with us. The service at this clinic is friendly and work to make your experience pleasant. Dr Church and Dr Nelson (the two vets I have met) always give your animal a thorough exam, offer 2 or 3 treatment options whenever possible and give a realistic prognosis. Questions are encouraged at every level in this clinic to ensure that people understand their animals care or even a bill. Our dog, Henry, loves each member of the staff and Dr. Church. He has had everything from boarding, nail trims, to stomach surgery and he is still happy and excited to see all of them. We are confident they love our pets almost as much as we do. Little Britches, our cat, isn't as happy to make the trip but she gets the best care possible as well. We had two older cats who eventually had to be euthanized. The entire clinic treated us with loving kindness and allowed us all the time we needed to say goodbye. When I moved here at the beginning of the year all my neighbors recommended I take my pets to Green Summit. Because I have lived in a variety of places I have been to a number of veterinarians. But I had never visited such a friendly, compassionate and caring clinic in the past. The entire staff is fantastic. Prior to leaving my past home, one of my pets was given little chance of living much longer and I was told there was not anything that could be done. After taking her to Dr. Church, I discovered I did have options and there were treatments for her problem. Even though her disease cannot be cured, treatments were available. We found Green Summit as soon as we moved here. They have a GREAT facility. They gave EXCELLENT care to the two dogs that we had then. They helped me through the process of losing them. One died in my arm on my way there. The second received EXCELLENT care through kidney failure and through her heart failure. The people at Green Summit are AWESOME. They have boarded our dogs. I have 2 teacup yorkiepoos and an Irish setter. I have been going to Green Summit Animal Clinic for 6 years. Living on a farm has made for many strange injuries, some needing surgical intervention. They are great there. Very calm and peaceful there and the staff genuinely loves the animal they care for! They also appear to have a full lab there so results have always been quick and they are careful to stick to their price when they quote it. I appreciate them for all the work they do! If you even consider taking your dog here for a nail trim you are putting your dog in real danger. We took our Wheaten Terrier there with a broken leg. They did such a terrible job of setting his leg the bone broke trough the skin inside the cast (the bone was not sticking out of the skin initially). I can't even imagine how painful it must have been for our dog. When we found this out they gave us two options 1. amputate the leg 2. put our dog to sleep!!!At the time our dog was a very healthy six year old wheaten!! They told us the treatments they suggested would range from $2000 - $2400.00!! We immediately went and picked him up and took him to another vetinary. They charged us over $600 for the damage they had done to him at the point. This was unheard of!! We took him to another vet and they set his leg cared for him for two weeks before we brought him home and he ended up having 100% full recovery of his leg (minus some artritis) and they charged us $600 total.Green Summit should not be allowed to be in business!!!! Not only are they incompetent they have NO compassion! They never even called to see how our dog was. Read Less
