My dog, Lucy, had her first appointment there today for an anal gland abscess. They were able to drain it right away after sedating her. The whole procedure was short and I was able to pick her back up in 30 min. The staff are very friendly, from the front staff to the Dr. They were all very informative and professional. Their pricing is very reasonable. I made the appointment the day prior and the wait time in the lobby was very minimal. I appreciate their $5 new patient exams and their referral program as well. We've taken both our puppers to Ark over the last couple of years. Most recently, our terrier started acting very lethargically and seemed to be in a lot of pain. I am always comforted by the caring and professional nature of the techs who work here. Dr. Denny is kind, patient, and takes care to explain what's going on with our dogs so we understand the situation and our options. This time was no different. We sent our old girl to stay with Ark for treatment overnight. The t...echs and doctors gladly provided updates whenever we needed them. Dr. Tucker and the rest of the staff at Ark Animal Hospital are incredible. Each time we have an emergency, or just a check up we always see Dr. Tucker. Our cats are getting more used to him, and I enjoy knowing that each time we come in we will see the same vet. He's been amazing, especially this last month. We've spent a lot of time at the vet's office dealing with shot updates, sick kitties, and kitties who are a little chubby. But each time he is friendly and helpful. I moved here about a year ago, and had to take the kitties in last year for check ups and a few issues that they had been having. I was so nervous, as their regular vet was 1100 miles away in North Carolina. But a quick google search revealed that this place had great reviews, so I went with them. The appointments were good, and the vets seemed nice as did the rest of the staff. But it wasn't until the last visit for shots, and check ups that I truly fell in love with them. One of our kitties had a reaction to one of the shots/vaccines, and we needed to take her in to make sure she was okay. The vet and staff were so sweet, and informative. They also were super concerned and got her in immediately, it made my husband and I feel so much better knowing she was in good hands. They now have it in her chart, so they know what to watch for, for the next time. I definitely will continue going here, and continues recommending this place. Read Less

I took my 16 year old cat there last summer and found out she had cancer. The vet and staff were very supportive and kind during that time. They understood that Pepper was a big part of my life. Our first visit here were great! And we were happy to have found them. BUT our last visit was very very poor. I brought in 2 cats both about 7 months old for final booster shots. I am carrying both carriers and trying to get inside door and I would think someone might have at least held door open. When our appt time came asst came out took both carriers like they were suitcases. ( all other visits they had me come back with them and the vet took a few minutes to let you know anything needed and ask if you had questions) She came back out with them in 5 minutes and said all done. I asked how much they weighed and she said oh was I supposed to weight them? I said yes and trim nails. She returned with them again and I asked what they weighed and she did not know. Had to look at chart and was not on print out I took home. Overall just felt like we were rushed out because end of day. Read Less

I fell in love with Ark when a friend asked me to help with his dog. He always took her there and over the years, I had many trips to Ark. The Drs are amazing. The office staff is wonderful. The techs and assistants are by far the best I have ever experienced. When I got a puppy, I started her there at Ark. They love her like I do. The friend's dog was with me for the past year and a half due to extreme circumstances. The wonderful dog passed away today after a visit to Ark. She was not acting right. I called. The techs had me bring her in immediately. They checked her out. Dr. Tucker was at lunch but the techs called and he came right away. 5 minutes max, he was in office with us. It was the dog's time to go. She was put down to prevent the suffering she was in. Dr Tucker was so amazing. The techs, I have no words for how caring they were. The office staff really cared. I was hurting from loss and I received hugs and caring above and beyond anything I have ever experienced at a vet's office. I will continue to take my puppy there. She is in amazing hands. They care like the animals are their own. After my girl was fixed, they cuddled and loved on her like I would have. They truly care about the pet AND the owner. This kind of care is so hard to find. Some people say Ark is pricey. I say you get what you pay for. Ark could double prices and still not charge enough for how caring, wonderful, knowledgeable, amazing and kind they are. Incredible place. Took our dog here recently who was acting sick. They got us in early morning within an hour or calling, and our dig ended up needing surgery same day, he was in surgery within a few hours and Dr. Tucker didn't hesitate one bit to get our pup feeling better. Ark Animal Hospital is fantastic.  Some of the other reviews on Yelp seem to me to not understand that Ark Animal Hospital is just that - a hospital. Like a Hospital, they offer complete and thorough service every time you walk in the door. Not to say that they always charge you for every little thing, that has not been our experience at all.  Just like a human hospital, the first time you bring your pet in, of course they want to gain a complete health picture of your pet.  So they will make recommendations on testing and vaccinations to bring your pet "up to speed".  This is by design, to ensure they can offer you relevant care recommendations going forward.  Once you get past that first milestone, Ark offers fantastic, friendly, very professional pet care.  They are not the cheapest, nor the most expensive, they are down the middle on price - but top notch on quality. The Vets and Assistant staff are quite knowledgeable and have been around a long time, which brings comfort to us as pet owners.  They have been very helpful and totally willing to take a quick look at small things without necessarily charging us for it, since we are an ongoing patient. We love Ark Animal Hospital. After nearly 11 years we had to put our chocolate lab Charley down. On the worst day, Ark treated us like family. I have a dog and 2 cats. All three needed their annual exams and shots. The Ark was suggested to me by someone who had dropped off someone else's pet there but had never used their services. I made an appointment and when I arrived, I waited almost 15 minutes past my appointment time (which was a problem because with three animals, 2 had to wait in the car.) When the technician called me in, she had a sheet printed out for all three animals with a list of suggested shots and diagnostics. (none of my animals were sick). Their were vaccines for diseases I had never even heard of. The totals for all three animals together, including tests and treatments for fleas, etc and vaccines came to almost $1,000 dollars!!!!!!! I promptly left, found a country vet a few miles up the road and just completed that vet visit. I paid $370 dollars for the necessary vaccines and tests for all three of my animals.  That included parasite meds for all and blood work on my older cat. I will now proceed to write a 5 star review for Longs Veterinary  Clinic in Kearney on yelp. Read Less
