When my dog was rescued from a house fire before clinic hours, the staff at Ozark Vet Clinic were quick to respond. They administered oxygen, cleaned her injuries, and cut melted plastic from her fur as we worked out transportation to the Emergency Vet Clinic, all at an extremely discounted price. In our follow-up visits, the staff were happy to accommodate her every need. They are gentle and friendly with both pets and their owners. We live in Springfield now, but the care is definitely worth the drive down to Ozark. I won't take her anywhere else! The only problem I've had is the secretaries, who have always been a little standoffish, but I've come to expect that pretty much everywhere. Read Less

This establishment pays for 5-Star reviews... DO NOT TRUST! AVOID! Cat died! This place is a death lottery and they don't care about cats. This is a DOG or Farm Animal only, NO CATS! They hate cats here, seemingly everyone. The staff is also hit-or-miss. The front desk lady that always sits on the left side is very nice, but you might or might not get a nice person otherwise. The employee turnover here is outrageous. Every time we have went we've seen multiple new faces. I took my older cat in due to what seemed to be a blockage, constipation. She had lost a lot of weight very fast, so I feared it might be kidney issues. A blood test was run, but found normal levels for her age. An x-ray was taken, but nothing was found. In reality, I have a VERY STRONG FEELING that absolutely no blood-work was actually done. I also don't think the x-ray was taken either. I have called many, many vets in the area and even other states. There is no reason they should have been pumping my cat full of liquids and NOT monitoring her urination or bowl movements. I began to worry that they were never going to help her, so I went and picked her up after they kept her ALL WEEKEND with only a "she's not doing much better" phone call. We picked her up and she had been brutally shaved. Her neck where they took blood was shaved completely across her neck. This will absolutely depress a cat as other vets have told me. The bandage they sent her home with on her leg was cutting off circulation and had to be removed. In the end, she remained bloated until she finally threw up yellow liquid and died. We had to bring her home to have happen what would have happened had she never even went to the vet. It cost us over $700 to have them do nothing but make our poor family member suffer and die in agony. I hate these people and will NEVER recommend them. Read Less

After spending several hundred dollars and three visits at another vet for my dog's skin infection, this clinic was recommended to me by the breeder from whom I bought my German Shepherd.  Even though, it's a walk-in, no appointment necessary, we didn't wait  too long and  my dog's skin condition was resolved after one visit.  Prices are extremely reasonable for services and products such as flea and tick medications.  We are willing to drive 25 miles to this vet when we have several others within 10 miles. Stay away from Dr. Death, aka Dr. King....the other vets are good, but she does not care about you or your animals and really doesn't seem to have the knowledge base that a Vet should have. After nearly 19 years of using them exclusively for our pack, this most recent experience which resulted in the death of one of our dogs has us looking for potential new clinics. Read Less

I brought a very sick stray cat to this clinic for help. I found the cat laying in the middle of the road, awake but unable to walk. The staff was reluctant to help, and didn't really want to look at the cat to begin with. I dropped her off, and a few hours later they called me to let me know the cat was ready to pick up. The staff called me 4 times in the 20-minute window it took me to get from my house to the clinic. They took over $100 from me for a physical exam they said they did, and told me the cat was fine; just tired. The staff told me she all she needed was food, water and TLC. I found a home for the cat, and within a few hours the foster discovered a massive skin infection on the cat's belly; she literally had maggots crawling in her skin. If the vet had actually examined this animal, they would have seen a skin infection and realized the cat was in serious trouble and probably should have been put to sleep, which I would have paid for, if these people cared enough to bother. The cat died 24 hours after visiting this clinic and being cleared as "fine" by whoever examined her. If you care at all about animals, I would suggest not going to this clinic. Read Less

Absolutely fantastic vet clinic! Took my sick doberman on a Saturday during their walk-in hours and was treated as if I had been coming there for years. Everyone was so kind and compassionate. They really care about and genuinely like animals. Unfortunately some vet clinics are burnt out and it shows. Not this one! So thankful my niece told me about this vet clinic. I love this place. The best doctors and staff. Excellent diagnostics without a lot of cost involved. They can supply the meds, do surgery and even the techs helped me out with my dogs, only to discover I had a flat tire. Ted the vet tech changed to my spare tire without hesitation as I was driving long distance. What a crew.  I will have to bring a surprise my next visit for them. I have met Dr.'s Rippey and Price and not enough can be said about the compassion and kindness from all of them. Too bad we can't clone their knowledge. Read Less

We have been with clinic for 2 plus yrs. We took our bulldog in for a abscess tooth and cleaning. 2 hrs later we get a call that he had died. Blood work was good and as soon as they put him under he dies. Tyson was 6 years old and healthy. Teeth cleaning and remove tooth and he dies. We are still in shock. Read Less

My little yorkie was attacked by an animal that almost killed him. He was bleeding to death, had a punctured lung and four broken ribs. They took my baby in and took amazing care if him. They treated him as if he was their own. Miraculously he survived this attack but if it werent for Lynn, he would have died in our arms. I will be forever grateful to the medical staff there. Our Buster had many medical issues and they stayed on top of it to the end and then in the end when nothing could be done they held us in their arms and grieved with us. Love, Love, Love them. We took our cat, Kitty there last week because he was unable to pee. It turns out that he was extremely blocked with a life threatening disease called FUS. They hospitalized him, stuck a catheter in him and let it stay in for 24 hours. He was supposed to come home the next day, but he had reblocked, so he had to stay again and repeat the procedure. He was allowed to come home on Saturday, where they told me that he would be fine. Kitty was unable to get but a few drops out of his body at once. Overnight, he had reblocked, it seemed. His stomach became distended and swollen once more. It being Sunday, the vet was not open. As we were getting ready to take him to the emergency vet in Springfield, he passed away, with a horrible look of agony on his face.I believe that the hospital sent him back home to us with a partial block that turned into a complete one. Kitty was treated by several veterinarians while he was there. Dr. Clonts was amazing. She had wonderful bedside manners and seemed to genuinely care about my cat. I never got to meet the other doctors who eventually took care of Kitty, but I believe they neglected him.I am very unimpressed by the Clinic Manager, Claudia, as she seemed to look down on us as we figured out our payment plan. She gave off a very money-hungry vibe and lacked any sort of compassion. I will not be returning here. Read Less

If you're looking for a vet clinic with low prices, friendly service, and the ability to walk in without an appointment in the area of Fort Rucker, Alabama then look no further.  The Ozark Veterinary Clinic is top notch!!!  They have always taken great care of my beautiful pitbull puppy Athena.  Today I took her in to get her ears cropped, I was very concerned and worried, but they allowed me to come see her even though they were keeping her over night!!  Her ears look fantastic.  If you are looking for a place to get your dogs ears or tail done, I wouldn't go anywhere else, they are FANTASTIC!!!  The price for the surgery was the cheapest I found and they do AMAZING work.  What else can I say?!?!?! Words can't express the sincere appreciation that I have for Ozark Veterinary Clinic and Dr. Jelena Leger, DVM.  This past Sunday, September 25, 2011 my pup was bitten by a snake and after calling the clinic and speaking with the answering service we were immediately directed to the after hours physician.  Dr. Jelena Leger met us at the Clinic within thirty minutes and admitted Brody.  Brody was released the next day with his  medication and back at home!!!  I was a complete mess and appreciate the professional and prompt service.  I expected to pay an outrageous balance....happily....however, the balance was below $175.00 including his medication!!!  Thank you Ozark Veterinary Clinic.Lizz Friend Read Less

Lets see, where do I begin.  These people have to be the best vets I have ever met.  EVER.  Dr Snell and Dr Tucker are two of the nicest guys you'll ever meet.  The whole staff is great.  They make you feel like part of the family from the time you walk in the door.  Before they moved into their new building I couldn't understand how they made a living, their prices were so low.  Even with the additional overhead of a brand new clinic their fees are still the lowest around.  And the service is the best.  I have never heard anyone complain about prices or service.  The only drawback is that they are so popular there is always a full waiting room.
