I have only been around this area for 6yrs and i was so worried i wouldn’t find a good Vet like i had back home for my wifes service dog Sissy. I would never recommend this clinic to anyone. The front desk staff was great but, the way the procedure was done on my puppy looked as if it was rushed by an amateur with no compassion or skill. I had her spayed and the incision looked like it was done with a steak knife, and the unexpected large razor burns were unnecessary and brutal. Incompetency and ignorance, that is what was shown to me and my dog today. For starts, my dog has cancer on her front left paw. I decided to get my dog a front leg wheel chair for after her leg was removed. The wheel cart company needed measurements for the cart and I HAD ALREADY DONE ALL the measurements besides TWO for her wheel cart (wheel chair for dogs front legs). I have had an appointment set up with their clinic since last week when her foot burst open into an ulcer. The cancer the diagnosed her with was the WRONG CANCER. They told me that the cancer will only stay in her foot and it was just cartilage. This morning dropping her off at the clinic FIRST THING I received a hard attitude and resistance from the front desk lady named BRITTANY. I told the clinic last week when I made the appointment that she needed TWO measurements done and they said it wouldn't be a problem. Brittany however did not have the same input. Brittany resistance the whole time and DID NOT EVER LISTEN TO ME. She could hear that I was speaking word but just kept nodding her head blowing me off replying with the same input, " Well we don't have anything to measure your dogs legs". What type of clinic doesn't have a tape measure, yard stick, or SOMETHING to measure my dogs front legs from the bottom of her feet to her shoulders, holding her up straight. BRITTANY kept resisting and giving me an attitude finally taking my dog. After driving all the way back to Springfield in morning rush traffic the "Doctor" called me saying, " Since I need all these measurements it make the situation to complex and I will just need to take her to an orthopedic surgeon". At this time I replied to the vet that she only needed two simple measurements with pictures is all there is nothing more complex than that. The "DOCTOR" or "Vet" kept resisting me as well. After fighting traffic and the clinic I finally gave in and drove all the way back to the clinic to pick up my dog. Once again, except a different front desk lady tried to fill my ears full of the same bs the vet was giving me over the phone. I asked the lady, nicely, what was the name of the lady that first took my dog and she said "Brittany". I replied okay thank you I need her name for the review I'm going to post about your clinic. She must of been hiding around the corner listening because she came shooting out from the back and stood there behind the other lady sitting down and stared at me, giving me a dirty look. I stop the other lady mid sentence and told her once again what two measurements I need and how simple they were. I asked them how is that complex? All she needs done is the normal procedure from a regular vet with two pictures of her measurement to send of to the wheel cart company for making her cart. Needless to say me and the two front desk lady got into it and as I was taking my dog out the door to the car "DOCTOR" Stringer came out and harassing me because of how I treated him employees. We recently moved to the area and I am so happy to have found Stringer Animal Clinic. They have taken excellent care of our dogs. We have a large dog that was a rescue and is terrified of anyone other than us. They were very patient and kind and are willing to take care of her even though she is very difficult to handle because of her fear of other people. I highly recommend them. Our furbaby Stella had a hurt paw. We were seen very swiftly and the staff were amazing! She had to have a toenail removed, they were very gentle with her. Stella made new friends today. We were very impressed with everyone at the clinic! Read Less

The staff was so incredibly nice. The Dr. Came out and met me the am of the surgery and again when I picked her up. The staff took time to call and let me know she was ok. I went last month to have my dog checked cus his nose and face was swollen they told me he had tooth decay and that he needed his teeth cleaned. Well I didn't trust the diagnosis so I took him to another vet and found out he had Cancer and he suffered a whole month when they could have actually diagnosed him correctly I'm very unsatisfied with the service. I've used Stringer Animal Clinic for the last 8 months. I found the desk/reception staff to be somewhat friendly but the actual vets seem to be "bothered" by tending to us. I rescued a 2 year old dog from an abusive situation with an owner who had been hoarding pets. Within the first couple of months we found ourselves in the emergency vet with our dog having seizures. My first visit to Stringer was ok but that is the best I can say. 2 months later we were back again due to more seizures. This time, as we waited to see the vet, a staff member who was sweeping decided to make negative comments to us about how we needed to train our dog better, she should be sitting still. This visit the vet spent maybe 5 minutes with the dog and only spoke to me in the lobby, I paid $110 for this visit. My dog has now been prescribed phenobarbitol for her seizures. The manufacturer of this medicine has raised the price 100%. When I contacted the vet for guidance and assistance to try to find something a little more affordable I couldn't even get the vet to speak to me. Instead the receptionist called me back and said I could just take my dog off the medicine but to do it slowly over a week. If anyone knows anything about this medicine that was extremely dangerous instruction. I have not felt we received any type of compassion from this office during any visit. I just moved to Missouri and I was very apprehensive about leaving the clinic my animals went to back home in Mississippi for the past 16 years. This clinic made me feel much better. Everyone was kind, they made me feel welcome and loved on my dog, and the prices were SO good. My visit was about $100 for exam fee, 3 different medicines for my dogs recluse bite and hot spots, and it included the horrendous spider bite getting cleaned out. I've already found the perfect place for my three children.. I mean dogs.. to receive high quality care that won't result in me selling my own kidney on the black market. Read Less

No pet owner ever likes to make this decision, but I had to have my cat put down.  We did not have a vet yet since we'd just moved here not long ago, and Stringer was where my fiance recommended, since his family has been taking their pets there for years.  Even though they had no appointment times available, they had me bring my baby in, and saw us quickly.  The vet checked her out and gave me some options, but was also honest in informing me that they wouldn't give her her quality of life back.  The vet and her assistant were both very gentle with my girl, and let me hold her when she got scared and tried to bite.  They also let me hold her while they were doing the initial shot that helps calm the animal so that they won't feel any pain.  When the time came for the final shot, I was allowed to stay right there at Niffy's side.  The staff was really wonderful about their bedside manner, giving me and my fiance as much time as we needed to say our goodbyes.  I felt that they genuinely cared about making this painful experience as easy as possible, and they were so good with my cat, who normally freaks out at the vet's but was relatively calm the whole time.  I am so grateful that they managed to fit us in so that my baby girl didn't have to suffer any longer than necessary. This is the best place! My shar pei Spartacus has trust issues with people. They worked with him and by the time we left he was not barking or scared. We walked outside so he could use the bathroom and he ran back to the door wanting to go back in. I am amazed at how well he did. I have never had a vet treat him so well! Thank you so much!
