Highly recommended!! We've been taking our doggy here for 3 years. Great, friendly staff and wonderful doctors who won't give you the run around. They also offer several different payment plans for the more expensive but necessary surgeries that many people can't afford outright. The kennel staff is amazing and will take great care of your dogs. I have brought both of my dogs here for grooming and medical services. They always look good and smell clean after grooming, though if you say not to "cut them too short" without specifying, they'll pretty much just get shaved. I do have an issue with the medical services, however. I brought my dog in to have a skin cyst looked at and it was punctured by a vet and the wound could not heal. I brought him back the next week to see a different vet and he did not read the report or speak to the vet tech beforehand, so he was making incorrect assumptions based off what he could see, so I had to re-explain the infection actually came from another vet at the office who made a large incision and did not attempt to close the wound. I was given antibiotics and that helped, but the wound has reopened and I think surgery is going to be a must. So I will probably be taking my dog elsewhere since the wound has not properly healed after seeing two vets at this office. Read Less

Over $700 for staples seems a bit much. The cone they put on after was pointless. Didn't leave me with much info on what to do next. Wasn't aware there would be interior stitches, they all came out anyway. And why did they have to shave soooo much when the injury was only an inch long!? Not too satisfied with their work. I love this place. The staff is friendly. I switched over to them after my dog got sick on a Sunday and I had a hard time finding someone who wouldn't charge $100 for a Sunday visit. My boy was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer & Dr. Little got me in immediately & even called the oncology place to see when I could go there too. He spent 2 hours with me discussing options & helping to do tests. I was emotional & my dog was amped up & everyone treated us like family. Above and Beyond! The only way to describe the amazing team at Elm Point! A few years ago after only one visit to Dr. Little we went out of town and unfortunately our dog had gotten hurt really bad by jumping off of a 30 foot deck! She couldn’t move we were in a complete panic! I called the office not really expecting anyone to answer considering it was a Sunday at 7:00 am I was just hoping for an emergency after hours number at best. I was placed on hold and seconds later was ask for the address where my dog was. I was a little confused until she said don’t move her Dr Little is on his way!!!! I honestly couldn’t comprehend what she was saying. At first I thought she meant to his office. No he was on his way to get my dog!! He picked up his assitant and drove about an hour one way to get her! He called me throughout the day to update me on condition. After a few weeks she was up and running ! Dr Lange is an excellent vet. He's been caring for our pets for 20 years. We have a high strung Welsh Terrier who is almost 12 years old. Our 13 year old pug had a large growth on his eyelid. It was really bad, it got really big very quickly, it was growing in his eyelid, it was very painful and very bloody. Our regular vet told us we needed to put him under anesthesia to have it removed. This was very worrisome but they reassured us he would make it through surgery okay. We were very close to doing that but I insisted on a second opinion. Our second opinion was Elm Point, which I found online. They got us an appointment immediately. We took him in and they said absolutely no to surgery because he would most likely have a very poor outcome. Instead, they prescribed antibiotics and eye drops. They said it likely wouldn't go away completely but it would stop the bleeding. Within a week it had stopped bleeding and within 3 weeks it was nearly completely gone. We are in shock every time we look at him.  He seems so much happier, he is acting like a puppy again. We cannot believe it is gone without surgery. I strongly feel that if we had gone with the recommendation of our regular vet, we would no longer have our Zeus right now. I highly recommend this pet hospital. It is too far for us for regular visits (we live an hour away) but if we ever have an emergency I am heading straight there. We saw Mark Petty. Best vets around. I have been taking my animals to Dr. Little for over 15 years. They are expanding Elm Point and adding more options for treatment and state of the art surgery rooms. They also do boarding and grooming as well. I cannot say enough good things about them. All the vets and staff are wonderful people who not only care about the fur babies, but their owners. Only positive and good things to say about Elm Point Animal Hospital. Dr. Hofman is my dog's vet, and she is absolutely wonderful. She is approachable, dedicated and caring 24/7 and this has really impacted my dog's health (for the better!). My pup suffered a bit with separation anxiety, and Dr. Hofman offered tons of useful advice with her knowledge/experience as well as having printed out articles and pamphlets for me when I arrived at the office. Her positivity is contagious and very reassuring whenever you have any concerns or questions. The hotline available has been very helpful to me as a new pet owner as well. I can't say enough great things about this office. Dr. Hofman is who we see! She is so thorough and kind hearted but honestly treats each animal like her own. I will always thank her because Oshie lasted longer than he would have because of her. We had a horrible thing happen to him that was 2 and recently lost him to Cancer. Dr. Little came to the house on an icey day to put him down and helped with the grieving he was so kind and gentle with him. All of the staff is so kind and shows love towards each animal. My dogs have been patients at Elm Point for years for normal check ups. Last night I called in apanic after my puppy got stung by a bee and had a horrible allergic reaction. I boarded my diabetic dog over the weekend, knowing he would be well cared for. What I didn't expect was for his stress level to be ok. I can tell because I asked them to check his blood sugar twice daily like I do at home and it didn't register major stress. They also followed my instructions carefully. We discovered Elm Point about five years ago. This was after going to four or five different vets and not being 100% satisfied. At the time we lived a couple of miles form Elm point. We now live all the way across town and we would not think about going to a different vet. I think that says enough. Dr. Little and his staff are absolutely the most courtesy, helpful and caring group of individuals you could ask for. I have been meaning to write a review for a while and I keep forgetting. After Dr. Little recently went out of his way to give me a call to personally call and report on the status of our dog I thought I should take the time now. We recently moved to St. Charles and we're a tad bit nervous about who or what veterinary clinic/hospital to use for our pets. Well, our cat Tiger was clearly not feeling well and we had to first of all find a veterinary hospital and hoped they were going to take good care of our older beloved cat. I kept calling around and could not get anyone on the phone to even make an appointment. Until my husband told me to try Elm Point Animal Hospital. Two short rings later, someone answers the phone and just like that we were able to bring Tiger in right away. Tiger LOVED the people though he was cranky from being in pain. BUT the care he received was incredible! Dr. Little made sure Tiger received the best care possible and Laurie you made sure Tiger and I were comfortable with having to leave him there at the hospital. I appreciate all you sooo much! I am so happy with the care my babies receive here. Dr. Petty has always been super thorough when examining my 16 year old dog who needs extra special care to attend to her needs. Dr. Hoffman was fantastic with dealing with my 1 year old cat who's quite shy at the vet's office. My most recent experience involved leaving my 16 year old special needs dog in their care for 9 days. I couldn't be more happy with the kennel attendants and their considerate care of my dog! We are new to town and a friend of a friend recommended this office.  They exceeded my expectations.  The front desk staff, the techs, vet, and groomer were all amazing! My 3 dogs received wonderful care and everything was communicated to us very well.  I recommend this office to anyone.  Because they are so busy (because they are great!), I do recommend you make boarding reservations a month or more in advance. My guy and I have brought both of our cats in several times (ages 18 and 2). What I love most is that they treat my 18 year old cat gently and carefully. Both the vet and assistant are kind and explain things fully without interrupting or making you feel rushed. If you have questions, they both answer with great detail to help you fully understand. We usually run tests on our older cat every time we go to see where her numbers are pertaining to kidney disease (on a low/high scale). Each time, they discuss charges BEFORE running the tests and explain results when they become available. Highly recommend this vet. I wouldn't change a thing and truly appreciate their kindness. I love this place! I've brought all of my pets here. My dog Piper was having problems walking and I went to two other vets who each had their own diagnosis. What I liked about Elm point is that Dr Little went over several options a and possible outcomes with me. I read a precious review about someone being charged an extra service. In all of my visits they have always gone over prices with me and I even had to sign something before it was done. It sounded like the woman who wrote the negative review expected extra services to be included in a standard exam. As far as I know, that wouldn't be the case any where. I went to elm point due to my dog having an issue with his eye. The Veterinarian there checked the pressure and tear production and then diagnosed him with glaucoma. When I went to check out, they stated that my short visit would be over 100 dollars. They charged me extra for simply checking the pressure in his eye and did not let me know ahead of time it would cost more than just the visit. I had to argue with the office manager and they eventually deducted the extra charges. I later went to another vet to follow up with my dog's eye issue because I did not feel comfortable returning to elm point. The next vet stated that my dog actually had a luxated lens that was causing the glaucoma and that the vet at elm point had misdiagnosed him. I went to a third vet that also said my dog had a luxated lens. Both vets stated that the vet at elm point should have known this because it was very evident. We first met Dr. Little almost 20 years ago when we had our first cat Smokey. She got very sick and we ended up having to put her down. Dr. Little was very compassionate at that time and has always been kind. Over the years we had other pets that Dr. Little took care of for us as well.  Our cat Missy some years later also became very ill and Dr. Little did everything he could, but we also had to put her down.  Just recently, we moved from St. Charles, MO to California.  We had two very much loved dogs.  Simba (an American Eskimo) and Coco (a Chocolate Lab).  Both of our puppies were getting up in age and both had lost their eyesight.  We tried for months along with the help of Dr. Little and his entire staff, to find a home for our two boys.  When we could not find anyone to take them, we called upon Dr. Little again.  We brought out boys into his office on August 27, 2013.  Dr. Little was in tears along with us at the prospect of having to put these two beautiful dogs down, but with compassion in his face and tears in his eyes he took our boys.A few days later, we got an envelope from Dr. Little with two postcards inside.  One had Simba's paw print on it and the other had Coco's paw print on it.  My husband and I were in tears that a vet would take the time to be so loving with our puppies.Today, October 5, 2013, we got another envelope in the mail here in CA.  This time it was from the Arbor Day Foundation letting us know that Elm Point Animal Hospital had in our puppies names dontated a tree to be planted in the Superior National Forest in honor of Simba and Coco.We would just like to say Thank you to Dr. Little Laurie  and his staff for being the most compassionate and loving Vet that we have ever had the pleasure to deal with.You will always be in our hearts and thoughts.  May God bless everything that you do in life.  You are truly a blessing to anyone that has a pet.David and Jodi Klimuszka Read Less

I followed Dr. Little after he left Veticare Animal Hospital.  He has been the only vet I will take my dogs/cats to, and he has seen each of them since I first got them.  I can't imagine going anywhere else.  He is so friendly and professional and the new location is great.  The facilities are brand-new and their hours are flexible so I never have trouble getting in to see him, even on evenings sometimes.  I have had some issues with the ladies in the front being a little less than friendly, but I like Dr. Little entirely too much to let that sway my choice in a vet and it's more of just an annoyance.  Even if I move away from St. Charles, I'm making the commute to continue seeing Dr. Little! The staff was wonderful, the facility is fantastic, and the care that our dog and cat have received is top notch. We love Dr. Little as well. Dr. Little has been our veterinarian since he was at Veticare Animal Hospital before opening his own clinic - Elm Point Animal Hospital.  I would follow him to the ends of the earth if I could.   He and his staff have lovingly  taken care of our four dogs over the years.  When we come in the staff love on the dogs and our dogs love Dr. Little.  He really cares about your pet and is always willing to work with you.  There is someone there 24/7 on the premises and they always answer the phones - no matter the hour or day.I became very ill two years ago and realized I could not care for the dogs properly until I was better but had no way to get them to their kennel.  Dr. Little came by and picked them up himself.  He took them to Elm Point and cared for them for 5 weeks until I was better.  He also makes house calls.Currently they do not have Sunday kennel drop off/pick up, but I understand that is to change soon.  I would highly recommend Dr. Little and Elm Point Animal Hospital without hesitation to all animal lovers. We had taken our dog to two different vets before Elm  Point opened and I am glad they opened up.  The first vet seemed like I was wasting his time whenever I asked a question.  Hey this is my first dog, I got some questions.  The second vet would have me sitting in the lobby that looked like a waiting room for Noah's Ark forever before he had time to get to me.  I got things to do.Elm Point is perfect.  Dr. Little takes so much time and answers every question you have patiently.  They are always on time when you make appointments I have never waited more than a few minuets.  The place is brand new so it is very clean and does not smell like feces or urine.  We had taken our dog to four! Yes count em' FOUR Groomers before we discovered Becky that cuts animal hair at Elm Point.  Maybe I am just particular, but the other four messed our dog up every time.  We would say cut a little and they would cut a lot.  It's like they just did whatever they wanted to do.  We have had Becky groom our dog 4 or 5 times now and she has done exactly what we wanted each and every time.  Maybe its because she listens to you and remembers what you say and then she performs it.  There is not another place in town we would take our dog too.  Oh and we board her there too.  Even if they moved to O'Fallon we would still use them for all of our needs.
