The vets at this clinic are mysoginistic, homophobes who would rather let your dog die than admit their mistakes. My dog was prescribed a routine medication for an ear infection and a week later her kidneys began to fail. We took her back to see this vet and after a few days of no improvement, we overheard the doctors laughing, saying they had no idea what was wrong with our dog and that she had a week to live. They would not let us pick up our dog. After threatening to report them to authorities, we took her to an emergency vet where it was discovered the medication they prescribed her was not meant to be given to her breed because it is known to cause kidney failure. I wouldn't trust these people with a stuffed animal.

Horrible place. I wanted x rays done to see if my dog had a blockage all they did was put a thermometer up his butt and said he was fine. I can not believe how horrible this place is. X rays should have been taken and my puppy should have been seen about. I don't recommend anyone to go there unless you want to be told some bullshit scam story about what you should feed your dog. They recommend purina because purina pays them to sell their product. Plus it stinks so bad get ready to hold your nose!

We purchased a kitten about 10 months ago & have been nothing but happy with this clinic. The vets are credible, empathetic, trustworthy & take the time to explain things in lay terms. They have taken good care of my kitten during her health challenges. I highly recommend this clinic. I was also referred by a good friend of mine who has had numerous pets & been a client of Dr. Buchheit's for over 20 years. He has always provided quality care & his prices are affordable & fair.

I only put stars in order to be able to warn others about this hospital and I figured more stars would be kept at the top of the list to read. They hire Ill practicing doctors who are neglectful and inconsiderate. We just bought a kitten Sunday who turned out to be sick and we've gone to multiple doctor appointments since then.we took him to this doctors office and the doctor was rough with our sick kitten, hardly gave him a look over and told us that he didn't wanna say for certain but nothing is garentered in life and he couldn't tell us if our cat would get better and gave us medicine and said all we can do is hope for the best in the end and laughted. He saw how sick our cat was and it got worse over the week till now ( he did show signs of getting better for the last couple of days that we werw instructed to look for) and neglected to tell us even though we tried everything the vet said and he didnt seem to want to deal with the problem because he already saw it was to far past for there clinic to treat. he treated our Odien like he was already a lost cause so why bother. We tried the medicine and all instructions given to us trusting these people to help us and today he died but before he passed we took him to a real animal emergency hospital before he did, who said if we would have brought that kitten to them they would have even from looking over, given him an iv drip and antibiotics immediately and kept him for observation because he was malnourished and extremely sick from the place we bought him from even though we did our research, did regular check ups on the kittens and have done nothing wrong, even when finding out the kitten was sick we made sure someone was there to keep an eye on him and make sure he ate proper and kept hydrated and took his medicine and the paste they gave us regularly as directed to keep his appetite and energy up. They said they would never do what this doctor did and let us take home our new kitten while in that condition and if we would have brought him to there hospital instead he would have more likely had a chance to survive because they would have made more if an effort to help our family save Odien instead of treating it like an unwanted problem.

A few months ago my dog was at a regular checkup at a different clinic, and we were told she had some heart issues that were going to cost us upwards of $1000 to treat. When I told a good friend about this, she recommended Mexico Road Animal Hospital and told us to at least talk to them before spending the money. Two visits and a $7.50 prescription later for a minor heart murmur, our little Bella was home and as good as ever. In all we spent a fraction on the same tests the other place wanted to charge us. In addition, every person at this hospital is fantastic. We weren't strung along or misled, they were very matter of fact and they took our little girl's health as seriously as we did. They are now our regular place for all of Bella's needs, because they know what they are doing, they love our dog as much as we do, and they don't play around with needless treatments and testing.

I will never take my puppy there again. The doctor let my 9 week old puppy fall off the examine table!!! She then started limping while in the office and he said she'll be alright. They didn't write down her previous shot history that I brought in her records. Then I went to pay and was told that they only accept cash or check which they failed to mention the two times I called asking about pricing. All of which was after I sat and waited over a half hour before we even got into the room. I do not recommend this place and I will never go there again.

This is a family vet that we have been going to for as long as I can remember... Most of my family (cousins, aunts, grandma included) goes to see Dr. Buchite & Dr. Holt. These two men are older in age, but they stay on top of current veterinary trends.... to an extent. They are so friendly and honestly the most selfless humans I know. They don't experiment on your furry babies either... I remember the day my dad had to put down our 16 year old Lab.. Dr. Buchite nearly cried with my dad. When Bullet started to get sick, both doctors remained persistent in getting him healthy again. Most would have given up when he was 14 years old and got sick... these doctors didn't and he lived for 2 more years!! When my friends (or ever strangers) talk about their sick animals and they say "the vet can't figure it out".. I ALWAYS say get a second opinion at the Mexico Road Animal Hospital. For example, my cousin's cat had been sick for months and her dad was a day away from putting the cat down because the vet "couldn't figure out what was wrong"... I called the doctors myself and asked them to take a look at the cat and that I would pay them next time I was in Saint Peters as my cousin was tapped for cash. They offered to keep the cat for seven consecutive days (at no cost) and nurture the cat back to health. That was two years ago, and the cat is happy & healthy still to this day! They're miracle workers I tell you! Their hours are so very accommodating, they sell great products in-house, they ONLY take check, and they just have a friendly staff! I will say that their after-hours servicer is HORRIBLE. But they don't get to hire those individuals! Thanks for keeping our babies healthy!!

We've taken our Australian Shepherd here since he was a puppy. Wonderful staff. Great Vet. Very fair and reasonable prices. I highly recommend them!

The vets at this clinic are mysoginistic, homophobes who would rather let your dog die than admit their mistakes. My dog was prescribed a routine medication for an ear infection and a week later her kidneys began to fail. Horrible place. I wanted x rays done to see if my dog had a blockage all they did was put a thermometer up his butt and said he was fine. I can not believe how horrible this place is. X rays should have been taken and my puppy should have been seen about. I don't recommend anyone to go there unless you want to be told some bullshit scam story about what you should feed your dog. We purchased a kitten about 10 months ago & have been nothing but happy with this clinic. The vets are credible, empathetic, trustworthy & take the time to explain things in lay terms. They have taken good care of my kitten during her health challenges. I highly recommend this clinic. I was also referred by a good friend of mine who has had numerous pets & been a client of Dr. Buchheit's for over 20 years. He has always provided quality care & his prices are affordable & fair.

A few months ago my dog was at a regular checkup at a different clinic, and we were told she had some heart issues that were going to cost us upwards of $1000 to treat. When I told a good friend about this, she recommended Mexico Road Animal Hospital and told us to at least talk to them before spending the money. Two visits and a $7.50 prescription later for a minor heart murmur, our little Bella was home and as good as ever. In all we spent a fraction on the same tests the other place wanted to charge us.
