My dog Mickey, DIED 5 days later from our first time going there! Totally wrong diagnosis and wrong medicine. If you want your animals to live a healthy long life, don't take them to Angel Animal Hospital with an emergency or not. We just assumed the Vet would do us right but they killed my buddy. After learning my kitty had a bladder blockage I brought him to the emergency clinic. the next morning they recommended that I bring him to a vet to be supervised for the next couple of days. After calling around to see if we could get in around the town that I live in we had no luck with finding a vet that would take us in because we were not established with them. I then called Angel Animal Hospital and they took me right in. I am so impressed with their customer service and their compassion that they showed towards my kitty. That night Doctor Flanthers recommended that I bring him back to the emergency clinic to have more supervision overnight but unfortunately I didn't get off work until after they close. She graciously volunteered to drive him over there herself. Without her and her team my kitty may not have made it. I appreciate this place so much!! Not only once, but TWICE I have gone to Angel Animal Hospital in a desperate time of need! The first time I called with my sick dog and they got him in the same day, bc i was so concerned. The second time, I just showed up with my very injured little yorkie... and they worked her right in immediately! They do not push treatment on you. They let you know what the very best treatment the Dr recommends, and let you choose what you want to do. I feel like the Dr treats my pets as she would render treatment to her own. Read Less

We have used Angel Animal Hospital for 40+ years. Dr. Jane Flathers has been one of if not the best Vets that we have had taking care of our pets. She is always willing to explain what is happening. Unlike many doctors she does not just leave for the day and forget about the animals in her care. She has taken many a call from us on her cell phone when we have had a crisis. Just recently we had a major emergency with our 20 moth old Golden Doodle and she reassured us when we needed to use the emergency Vet service here in Springfield (which as she reassured us to begin with are excellent in an emergency and I recommend them highly). She conferred with them and then was in contact the next day with them and kept in touch with us setting up a time for us to bring her in. She never looses patience with the animals or their owners. I have been going to see Dr. Flathers now for about 3 years and she has always given the best advice for me and my 3 little fur babies. My cat is older and Dr. Jane is so helpful with all of his issues. Most recently we found out he is diabetic. She was so supportive and called and emailed us to see how things were going. We did a followup check and she saved us money by recommending a blood glucose monitor that was good but not too expensive. Dr Jane is awesome with my dogs! She always goes over everything with me, what my options are, what the costs will be, and even has payment options. Both of my dogs are getting on the "senior" side of life, and she is careful to educate me on what they need as they are getting older. Dr. Flathers is UH-MAZING. So are all of the Vet Techs and reception! All of the staff and Dr. Flathers know our animals by name and truly care about how they are doing. If we ever have a question, I feel comfortable enough to call and ask at anytime. It's rare to find a Vet that accepts same-day appointments or walk-ins. At one point, my German Shepherd had some concerning symptoms and behavior, I called their office directly and even though Dr. Flathers wasn't there on sight to answer my questions (she was busy elsewhere)....the staff had her email me directly and we discussed what to do for my dog that way. She has treated all of my pets now for 3 years and I don't ever want another Vet or Veterinary Team for my fur babies.PS: I REALLY appreciate the fact that they accept Care Credit. This was the ONLY vet that would see me on a same day basis. I called all over Springfield but no vet would see me for at least five days. My kitten (Moe) was very sick but they worked me in and saw to my little kitten's needs the very day I called in. I will be using Dr. Flathers for all of my pets in the future. We took our 12 year old lab in because of a swollen eye. We are traveling from Washington state. Dr. Flathers was wonderful, kind and gentle. They gave us an idea of the cost of the proposed treatment plan. They were so gentle and kind. They also provided us with an after care report to take with us. This clinic did for my dog ( back injury)what 3 clinics in three states could not. After almost going to have an MRI and bracing for the worst, Dr Flathers evaluated, gave X-rays, temporary relief pain medication and referred him to Dr Nie for the next morning. Dr Nie performed a chiropractive alignment of this body and I watched my desperate little dog transform before my very eyes. He left that office looking like the dog he was before. My skeptical husband was shocked when he saw him. I was given easy to understand follow up directions and he is doing great! My husband and I took our 9 week old Frenchie  for his first appointment today and we are sold on this vet! They were incredible and Dr. Flathers has a way about her that is unexplainable. Money before any treatment even as my pet ( who is like my child ) is dying! I started with Dr. Snow in 1982 with numerous pets. NEVER was my pet kept waiting in a emergency situation to get cash, check or credit card before even checking my pet.When these people got the place they also got all patient files. All they had to do was look at my 6 inch thick file to know that i have always paid for my pets care. BUT THEY DIDN'T CARE. I wouldn't take my already dead pet to them.... Read Less

Neither of our dogs was comfortable their and additional costs always kept getting added on. Dr Jane has been amazing with my little guy!  He was a rescue, born at animal control, and as most puppies go - he has had an interesting 1st year.  She is always calm and sweet with Carlos and he loves going to see her. She and her staff are amazingly thurogh and always super helpful!  They have a pet portal you can access online which keeps track of his wellness visits, vaccinations and monthly Trifexus.  They send out reminders via email and also give you a quick reminder call before appointments.Thankfully I have only had to bring Carlos in once (so far) for an emergency!  The staff was wonderful in keeping me calm and also making sure he was well cared for.  We were out in the yard and he went chasing after a squirrel - somehow he ended up snagging a toe and nearly ripped out his entire toenail.  I, of course, was in a state of panic because there was SO MUCH BLOOD.  I rinsed his foot off and applied pressure, to no avail - at that point I thought my puppy was going to lose a toe.  They got him bandaged up (which he took full advantage of) and out of pain immediately!They are wonderful and I'm grateful for Dr Jane and her staff offering such good care for my baby boy!
