We’ve been taking our Moose there for a few years now. After swallowing a toy when he was a puppy, getting fixed, having surgery on his eyelids a couple times, and most recently having a breed specific illness; I can I say I would recommend everyone to go here. They’ve taken the best care of our boy time and time again and went above and beyond. This last time Dr. Cynthia provided her acupuncture services to help with our dogs’s fever. When we got there for a checkup it was 103 (106 the day before) and when we got home it was 101.8. And Dr. Heath searched for a cheaper option for the medication he needed that was $400 a month and succeed in helping us with that without us even asking. Simply the best!

I picked Dexter up day and half later. Dexter is calmer and sweet kitty. Dr Heath Wiseman has taken good care of my pets. I have two border collies also. Five years ago Paws my border collie was paralyzed from neck down. He made arrangements with MIZZOU Vet Hospital for further care. Paws recovered full function. He is 16 yrs old. Dr. Heath and Cynthia are caring and able vets. I used to use a different vet but after enduring months of treatment for my injured pet, it started as a minor foot injury, I frantically looked for another vet to help. It was too late to reverse the damage and the "animal staph" my dog had contracted. I had to "put-down" my dog and have attended the same for a family member's pet. An awful experience for anyone but it is evident by the care provided, they truly love animals and make the procedure as calming and comfortable as possible for the pet and owner. My new four-legged companion loves the staff, Dr. Heath and Dr. Cynthia. I cannot recommend them enough.

Me and my fiancé take our 3 dogs there and each of them get treated in accordance with their individual needs and all the people of SVC treat us as well as our animals with care and concern. My sister's dog was attacked by another dog and had severe injuries. Since it was during a holiday we had to take him to the emergency vet clinic on Glenstone and the vet their was so rude and we were charged almost $1,000. Then the dog ripped open some of his sutures and they refused to look at him so I convinced my sister to bring him to SVC and what a difference in animal care and customer service!! They were able to take out some of the sutures that had been moved, clean the wound and gave her some more helpful tips and told her to follow up on Monday. And they charged us $67 whereas for us to get him looked at, at the emergency clinic is a base charge of $75.
Best animal service and decent prices for this area. Highly recommended.

While all of the Doctors are great, I usually see Dr. Cynthia Wiseman. She's so lovely! She's always very patient and understanding with my dogs who're nervous in the Vet office environment. She handles them with great care. Her thoughtfulness of her approach always makes me feel comfortable trusting her with the care of my furbabies.
I often refer to the Wiseman Doctors as the DOs of Veterinary medicine. They have managed to help me keep my girl from a very expensive and invasive surgery through their recommendations of various conservative therapies. They have been the perfect choice for us. Highly recommended.

We decided to start taking our new kitty here this past fall (2016), and we love it! He was not on his best behavior (to say the least) for his first appointment, and the staff was so patient and was still able to safely run his bloodwork and give him his vaccinations. Every service has been reasonably priced, and they did everything they possibly could to make sure that our little guy was off to a healthy start after we adopted him. What I love is that they really seem to focus on the small details, too, like trimming our cat's nails after remembering that I had expressed interest in doing so at a previous appointment, or supplementing his flea treatment with something to safely speed up the process. We will definitely keep coming here as long as we live in Springfield!

I have taken my dog here since he was a puppy. The staff are so friendly and caring, a very clean place and they always get us in quickly. When we come in no one passes us without greeting my dog and I and they're never in a rush to get us out of their. I have dealt with both Mr. & Mrs. Wiseman and they're absolutely great. They truly care about my dog and the condition he's in, they do everything they can and make sure he comes home perfect. Lately my dog had an issue and they always kept me updated throughout the day, always made sure I was okay with what they were doing and when I went to pick him up they made sure I understood what was going on completely. I would recommend this place to anyone with their pets!

Therefore I declined the heartworm test when I went to Springfield Veterinary Center, explaining that my dog was already on heartworm prevention. I WAS NOT TOLD THAT DECLINING THE TEST MEANT THAT THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO PRESCRIBED ANY PREVENTION TO ME. They had time to mention this when I asked how to get medicine online for my dog and was told that the online seller just had to contact them. I understand that different vets have different policies but I would not have declined the test if I had known the result. When I found out that they did not allow the prescription from the online provider, I called to find out the issue and was told they did not have a heartworm test for my dog so would not provide it even when I pointed out my dog had a test from 2014 and be on prevention since. I'm still angry that I wasn't informed of this policy when I declined the test or when I talked about getting heartworm prevention. Will never go to them again, rather eat the cost of going to another vet to get the heartworm prevention.

I have been taking my dog to SVC since 2012 and when I adopted my cat in 2015. I have never had a bad experience. We have seen Mr. and Mrs. Wiseman and I love them both. Always professional, always take their time when looking my pets over, asking questions, and answering mine. Once when my dog became deathly ill on a Sunday I had to take him to the emergency vet clinic. Monday morning I called SVC to fill them in and get their opinion. Over the course of his recovery, SVC was great at staying in touch with me, answering all of my questions, reassuring me, helping me, and making sure he would be okay. I am so thankful for them. They even hosted a free "Kitty Kindergarten" not too long after I adopted my cat to help the kittens socialize and be comfortable in their office. Their facility is very nice and always clean. The rest of the SVC staff has always been friendly, polite, professional, and helpful. I would recommend them to anyone

Really great vet clinic! The hardest part when getting a pet is finding a good place to take them when they are in need of doctoring. My kitty cat wasn't doing well and actually ended up having to stay at the clinic overnight. I was worried that he would be placed in a tiny cage and that would be it. Luckily it wasn't so! He got a decent sized kennel and they let me bring in his blanket that he sleeps on and his favorite toy. My cat is very important to me and they handled him very carefully and professionally. I'm happy to say he's doing well now and is as spoiled as ever! I think it's safe to say we will be life long patients to the Springfield Veterinary Center :)

We had to bring our very sick pup into there office today. The staff was kind and patient. Dr. Heath was wonderful, kind and patient. Our baby girl had to have emergancy surgery to make sure she would be okay and we were kept up to date step by step. I highly recommend the wonderful staff of SVC. I believe Dr. Heaths quick thinking and attention to detail saved my dogs life today. I cannot thank them enough.

I had taken for years to another vet, he started having seizures, they kept telling me he is an old dog and sent me home.My daughter takes her animals to SVC and I went with her when she had to put her cat to sleep. It was the most loved moment by the staff, I was in awe!I decided to take my dog there, I brought my kids with me, I was positive I was going to be told the same as my other vet, he is old and that is just what happens!I went there with no hope and after Dr. Wiseman checked my dog, suggested a pain management plan!!! I couldn't believe it!! I was given all the pros and cons of the medicine, and started the plan, I can't believe the difference in my pet, he is back to himself, It has been almost a year and my dog is still doting GREAT! I take him every couple of months for blood work and how he is doing. I walked in with no hope of saving my best friend and walked out with a plan of a road to recovery!! My family all go the SVC now, the staff is the BEST, they know my pet when they see him, they will call after visits to check up on him and send him cards!! I have never seen a more dedicated staff!! Wow, what a horrible place and unprofessional vet. My dog and I were waiting for an exam and the male Dr Wiseman (there is also his wife, who is also chronically late) was running almost an hour late....
Wow, what a horrible place and unprofessional vet. My dog and I were waiting for an exam and the male Dr Wiseman (there is also his wife, who is also chronically late) was running almost an hour late. When I brought up his lateness, he gave me a disgusted look and said: To be technical, it's been less than one hour. (I was 4 minutes off). He then proceeded to raise his voice and tell me that he has been seeing animals back to back. Well, that maybe the case, but he also took his time selling them every single available option such medications, treatments, and supplements, and taking his sweet time doing it. This asshole then diagnosed my dog with an auto-immune disorder after looking at him for less than 15 minutes and running 3 lab tests. He said that his "buddy had the same problem" and that there is no cause or cure for it. The disorder is called thrombocytophenia, which is an umbrella clinical term for dogs having low blood platelet count. So when I researched the disease, I found that there are various causes for this disorder and that additional tests must be done to determine the root of the problem.Instead, Dr Wiseman opted to pump up my dog with Predinisone (a steroid) and an anti-biotic, which is not recommended as a treatment option. Oh, and I got charged $500 for this adventure. Spare yourself the horrendous experience, dealing with a greedy crook, being blatantly lied to, wasting time, and spending money on a 2nd opinion and go somewhere else.

I have never met a business owner, Mr. Wiseman who is so cocky, rude and lacking in customer service. Mr. Wiseman, you clearly do not enjoy making money. Had you not been so irresponsible with our cat and made a slight effort to right our wrong situation, you would have had the business of our two cats for years to come. The worst customer service I have ever experience. No regard for our pet or our satisfaction.

I brought my two Chihuahuas for dental care at Springfield Veterinary Clinic. A family friend referred me to SVC. My pups had never been seen by SVC and some veterinarians do not offer cleanings at all. Fortunately, upon review of their updated medicals records, this practice cared for my pups. Standard cleanings are expensive, but appropriate canine dental care and hygiene is critical especially for the Chihuahua breed. I could not have found a better place to take my pets! I love SVC. They are very caring and helpful. I have been taking my cats there for 4 years and I could not be happier. They make sure to do everything they can to take care of my babies and they try to make it as easy as possible for me. Theire new extended night hours on tuesdays is great as well- those who work all day and cant find time to take pets to the vet now have a chance to go in with their kids!

I love SVC. I have been going there for 4 years with my baby boys (cats) and I could not be happier. They have always been so caring and go above and beyond their actual duty to help my pets. I have spent many many days in their office with sick kitties or broken pets (silly cat breaking his hip) or regular check ups. Throughout all of this they have been so nice, and have allowed me to bring the cats in, no charge, if I needed them out of the house for a day to spray for bugs. This is a great place to bring your pets.

I would not recommend this Vet at all. We adopted a stray and took her in to be spayed. They began the operation only to discover that she had already been spayed before. And her ear had been clipped, which we later found out is an indication to Vets that this cat has been TNR. Not only should the Vet had known this but the Vet should also had scene a scar from the previous spaying. So our poor little stray had to undergo an unnecessary surgery. And here's the kicker... they actually had the nerve to charge us for their mistake. I would not recommend this Vet. Bad boy! Oh, and I forgot to add that when they finally brought our cat out to us they carried her cat carrier, not by the strap, but more like a sack of potatoes. Poor thing was just rolled up in a ball in the corner as they callously handed her back over to us.

I am new to the area and I feel very fortunate that I found this vet clinic on my first try. The staff was friendly on the phone when I made the appointment, as well as when I brought my dog in. The clinic did not have that typical vet clinic smell. My little poodle gets very nervous in vet clinics, but Dr. Cynthia Wiseman sat on the floor and held him in her lap while she did the exam, and that calmed him right down. She also took the time to answer all of my questions, and I didn't feel rushed. I cannot express how positive an experience it was. I can't imagine there being a better clinic around.

We’ve been taking our Moose there for a few years now. After swallowing a toy when he was a puppy, getting fixed, having surgery on his eyelids a couple times, and most recently having a breed specific illness; I can I say I would recommend everyone to go here. They’ve taken the best care of our boy time and time again and went above and beyond. This last time Dr. Cynthia provided her acupuncture services to help with our dogs’s fever. When we got there for a checkup it was 103 (106 the day before) and when we got home it was 101.8. And Dr. Heath searched for a cheaper option for the medication he needed that was $400 a month and succeed in helping us with that without us even asking. Simply the best!

I picked Dexter up day and half later. Dexter is calmer and sweet kitty. Dr Heath Wiseman has taken good care of my pets. I have two border collies also. Five years ago Paws my border collie was paralyzed from neck down. He made arrangements with MIZZOU Vet Hospital for further care. Paws recovered full function. He is 16 yrs old. Dr. Heath and Cynthia are caring and able vets. I used to use a different vet but after enduring months of treatment for my injured pet, it started as a minor foot injury, I frantically looked for another vet to help. It was too late to reverse the damage and the "animal staph" my dog had contracted. I had to "put-down" my dog and have attended the same for a family member's pet. An awful experience for anyone but it is evident by the care provided, they truly love animals and make the procedure as calming and comfortable as possible for the pet and owner. My new four-legged companion loves the staff, Dr. Heath and Dr. Cynthia. I cannot recommend them enough.

Me and my fiancé take our 3 dogs there and each of them get treated in accordance with their individual needs and all the people of SVC treat us as well as our animals with care and concern. My sister's dog was attacked by another dog and had severe injuries. Since it was during a holiday we had to take him to the emergency vet clinic on Glenstone and the vet their was so rude and we were charged almost $1,000. Then the dog ripped open some of his sutures and they refused to look at him so I convinced my sister to bring him to SVC and what a difference in animal care and customer service!! They were able to take out some of the sutures that had been moved, clean the wound and gave her some more helpful tips and told her to follow up on Monday. And they charged us $67 whereas for us to get him looked at, at the emergency clinic is a base charge of $75.
Best animal service and decent prices for this area. Highly recommended.

While all of the Doctors are great, I usually see Dr. Cynthia Wiseman. She's so lovely! She's always very patient and understanding with my dogs who're nervous in the Vet office environment. She handles them with great care. Her thoughtfulness of her approach always makes me feel comfortable trusting her with the care of my furbabies.
I often refer to the Wiseman Doctors as the DOs of Veterinary medicine. They have managed to help me keep my girl from a very expensive and invasive surgery through their recommendations of various conservative therapies. They have been the perfect choice for us. Highly recommended.

We decided to start taking our new kitty here this past fall (2016), and we love it! He was not on his best behavior (to say the least) for his first appointment, and the staff was so patient and was still able to safely run his bloodwork and give him his vaccinations. Every service has been reasonably priced, and they did everything they possibly could to make sure that our little guy was off to a healthy start after we adopted him. What I love is that they really seem to focus on the small details, too, like trimming our cat's nails after remembering that I had expressed interest in doing so at a previous appointment, or supplementing his flea treatment with something to safely speed up the process. We will definitely keep coming here as long as we live in Springfield!

I have taken my dog here since he was a puppy. The staff are so friendly and caring, a very clean place and they always get us in quickly. When we come in no one passes us without greeting my dog and I and they're never in a rush to get us out of their. I have dealt with both Mr. & Mrs. Wiseman and they're absolutely great. They truly care about my dog and the condition he's in, they do everything they can and make sure he comes home perfect. Lately my dog had an issue and they always kept me updated throughout the day, always made sure I was okay with what they were doing and when I went to pick him up they made sure I understood what was going on completely. I would recommend this place to anyone with their pets!

Not open about their polices. My last vet (Thrive in Austin, Tx) allowed me to not to a heartworm test for my dog since he was on heartworm prevention already and had a previous heartworm test. Therefore I declined the heartworm test when I went to Springfield Veterinary Center, explaining that my dog was already on heartworm prevention. I WAS NOT TOLD THAT DECLINING THE TEST MEANT THAT THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO PRESCRIBED ANY PREVENTION TO ME. They had time to mention this when I asked how to get medicine online for my dog and was told that the online seller just had to contact them. I understand that different vets have different policies but I would not have declined the test if I had known the result. When I found out that they did not allow the prescription from the online provider, I called to find out the issue and was told they did not have a heartworm test for my dog so would not provide it even when I pointed out my dog had a test from 2014 and be on prevention since. I have been taking my dog to SVC since 2012 and when I adopted my cat in 2015. I have never had a bad experience. We have seen Mr. and Mrs. Wiseman and I love them both. Always professional, always take their time when looking my pets over, asking questions, and answering mine. Once when my dog became deathly ill on a Sunday I had to take him to the emergency vet clinic. Monday morning I called SVC to fill them in and get their opinion. Over the course of his recovery, SVC was great at staying in touch with me, answering all of my questions, reassuring me, helping me, and making sure he would be okay. I am so thankful for them. They even hosted a free "Kitty Kindergarten" not too long after I adopted my cat to help the kittens socialize and be comfortable in their office. Their facility is very nice and always clean. The rest of the SVC staff has always been friendly, polite, professional, and helpful. I would recommend them to anyone

Really great vet clinic! The hardest part when getting a pet is finding a good place to take them when they are in need of doctoring. My kitty cat wasn't doing well and actually ended up having to stay at the clinic overnight. I was worried that he would be placed in a tiny cage and that would be it. Luckily it wasn't so! He got a decent sized kennel and they let me bring in his blanket that he sleeps on and his favorite toy. My cat is very important to me and they handled him very carefully and professionally. I'm happy to say he's doing well now and is as spoiled as ever! I think it's safe to say we will be life long patients to the Springfield Veterinary Center :)

Be careful when you get a diagnosis that they are not just trying to sell you something. Seems as though they get a diagnosis or condition in mind and look no further.

We had to bring our very sick pup into there office today. The staff was kind and patient. Dr. Heath was wonderful, kind and patient. Our baby girl had to have emergancy surgery to make sure she would be okay and we were kept up to date step by step. I highly recommend the wonderful staff of SVC. I believe Dr. Heaths quick thinking and attention to detail saved my dogs life today. I cannot thank them enough.

Springfield Veterinary Clinic, gave me hope for my dog!! I had taken for years to another vet, he started having seizures, they kept telling me he is an old dog and sent me home.My daughter takes her animals to SVC and I went with her when she had to put her cat to sleep. It was the most loved moment by the staff, I was in awe!I decided to take my dog there, I brought my kids with me, I was positive I was going to be told the same as my other vet, he is old and that is just what happens!I went there with no hope and after Dr. Wiseman checked my dog, suggested a pain management plan!!! I couldn't believe it!! I was given all the pros and cons of the medicine, and started the plan, I can't believe the difference in my pet, he is back to himself, It has been almost a year and my dog is still doting GREAT! I take him every couple of months for blood work and how he is doing. I walked in with no hope of saving my best friend and walked out with a plan of a road to recovery!! My family all go the SVC now, the staff is the BEST, they know my pet when they see him, they will call after visits to check up on him and send him cards!! I have never seen a more dedicated staff!! Wow, what a horrible place and unprofessional vet. My dog and I were waiting for an exam and the male Dr Wiseman (there is also his wife, who is also chronically late) was running almost an hour late. When I brought up his lateness, he gave me a disgusted look and said: To be technical, it's been less than one hour. (I was 4 minutes off). He then proceeded to raise his voice and tell me that he has been seeing animals back to back. Well, that maybe the case, but he also took his time selling them every single available option such medications, treatments, and supplements, and taking his sweet time doing it. This asshole then diagnosed my dog with an auto-immune disorder after looking at him for less than 15 minutes and running 3 lab tests. He said that his "buddy had the same problem" and that there is no cause or cure for it. The disorder is called thrombocytophenia, which is an umbrella clinical term for dogs having low blood platelet count. So when I researched the disease, I found that there are various causes for this disorder and that additional tests must be done to determine the root of the problem.Instead, Dr Wiseman opted to pump up my dog with Predinisone (a steroid) and an anti-biotic, which is not recommended as a treatment option. Oh, and I got charged $500 for this adventure. Spare yourself the horrendous experience, dealing with a greedy crook, being blatantly lied to, wasting time, and spending money on a 2nd opinion and go somewhere else.

I have no idea why my previous review was removed. I was so upset with this business that I filed a complaint with the BBB. I have never met a business owner, Mr. Wiseman who is so cocky, rude and lacking in customer service. Mr. Wiseman, you clearly do not enjoy making money. Had you not been so irresponsible with our cat and made a slight effort to right our wrong situation, you would have had the business of our two cats for years to come. The worst customer service I have ever experience. No regard for our pet or our satisfaction.

I brought my two Chihuahuas for dental care at Springfield Veterinary Clinic. A family friend referred me to SVC. My pups had never been seen by SVC and some veterinarians do not offer cleanings at all. Fortunately, upon review of their updated medicals records, this practice cared for my pups. Standard cleanings are expensive, but appropriate canine dental care and hygiene is critical especially for the Chihuahua breed. Anesthesia is required during a dental cleaning, so a deliberate decision of who cares for your pet is essential. This clinic also supports a local boxer rescue organization. I like knowing my business assists a highly worthy organization. Next summer, I will return for my wee pups' annual dental cleanings.

I could not have found a better place to take my pets! I love SVC. They are very caring and helpful. I have been taking my cats there for 4 years and I could not be happier. They make sure to do everything they can to take care of my babies and they try to make it as easy as possible for me. Theire new extended night hours on tuesdays is great as well- those who work all day and cant find time to take pets to the vet now have a chance to go in with their kids!

I love SVC. I have been going there for 4 years with my baby boys (cats) and I could not be happier. They have always been so caring and go above and beyond their actual duty to help my pets. I have spent many many days in their office with sick kitties or broken pets (silly cat breaking his hip) or regular check ups. Throughout all of this they have been so nice, and have allowed me to bring the cats in, no charge, if I needed them out of the house for a day to spray for bugs. This is a great place to bring your pets.

I would not recommend this Vet at all. We adopted a stray and took her in to be spayed. They began the operation only to discover that she had already been spayed before. And her ear had been clipped, which we later found out is an indication to Vets that this cat has been TNR. Not only should the Vet had known this but the Vet should also had scene a scar from the previous spaying. So our poor little stray had to undergo an unnecessary surgery. And here's the kicker... they actually had the nerve to charge us for their mistake. I would not recommend this Vet. Bad boy! Oh, and I forgot to add that when they finally brought our cat out to us they carried her cat carrier, not by the strap, but more like a sack of potatoes. Poor thing was just rolled up in a ball in the corner as they callously handed her back over to us.

I am new to the area and I feel very fortunate that I found this vet clinic on my first try. The staff was friendly on the phone when I made the appointment, as well as when I brought my dog in. The clinic did not have that typical vet clinic smell. My little poodle gets very nervous in vet clinics, but Dr. Cynthia Wiseman sat on the floor and held him in her lap while she did the exam, and that calmed him right down. She also took the time to answer all of my questions, and I didn't feel rushed. I cannot express how positive an experience it was. I can't imagine there being a better clinic around.
