Do NOT take your animals here unless all you want is the cheapest care in town. Dr. Smith does NOT seem to care much... We just moved from Arizona in March, and needed a new vet for our cat. We brought her to Dr. Smith. First of all, I wanted her to see my cat s medical records but their fax was broken (as usual, it seems) so I brought my cat's medical records in physically. She didn t seem to want to look at them, and didn t even want to keep them for her own records. Our cat had serious health problems, but Dr. Smith didn t seem to take them seriously. She didn t even want to touch her or examine her just because she gets cranky and feisty at the vet, and made us feel bad that our cat was hissing at her. I m sorry, but as a veterinarian you should be prepared to deal with a cranky cat, not make us feel bad about it and refuse to even TRY to touch her or look at her wounds. This should ve been a good warning, but she did give us different meds than her old doctor, and they seemd to help for a bit. However, when those stopped working and we went back, all they did was shove the same meds at us and not want to look at her again, even though she had gotten much worse. Not to mention, they lost our file and had to piece together what meds she was on. They eventually found her file by the next time we brought her but the treatment didn t change. The office was extremely disorganized, but I would put that aside if my cat was getting the attention she needed, which she did not. We needed help for our cat, decided Dr. Smith was DEFINITELY not good enough for our baby, and didn t like the meds she was on, as they seemed to completely change her personality and weren t doing her much good. We ended up bringing her to Deerfield Veterinary (whom I HIGHLY recommend), who took the time to look through her records from Arizona (of course Town&Country did NOT fax her records as I requested) and found out a few more things. It turns out that Dr. Smith had been prescribing her a medication typical given to COWS not to cats, that we were told by our new vet to throw out and not give her again. In addition, our new vet alerted us immediately that she was overdue for 3 booster shots she should ve received in June, We saw Dr. Smith in June and July and she did not once mention her being due for her shots. Basically, if you love your pet, and especially if they need special care, DO NOT bring your pet here. If you just need the cheapest place to get something routine, this place may be ok. Read Less
