Wilsons Creek Animal Hospital

Springfield, Missouri
General Info
Wilsons Creek Animal Hospital is a well-regarded part of the veterinary community located in Springfield. Wilson’s Creek Animal Hospital in Springfield patterns its clinic layout around how an animal explores a new environment. The aspects of turns, pauses, and safe zones are elements of treatment processes rather than their outliers. The architectural establishment pacifies animal pals in Missouri. Animals are given pre-cue time on walking paths to sample scents and familiarize themselves with the environment prior to tests. The asymmetrical layout of the rooms ensures that a pet won’t get trapped in the corners. Staff members use side or diagonal postures to avoid directly facing the animal’s line of sight. Temperature gradients are deliberately designed with the entry areas cooler and the exam rooms warmer. Wilson’s Creek Animal Hospital provides a range of complex services such as mobility monitoring, long-term inflammation detection, neurological disease early screening, organ health testing, surgical planning, and dental care. The access routes between the technical and veterinary departments and inter-block transition routes for personnel are deliberately complex and lengthy. Regulation comes before the tools. The exercise starts only when breath rhythm is flat and blink rate is low. Domestic guides describe spatial decompression zones, multisensory prep-kits and friction-minimising walking patterns in order to prevent the employee from experiencing stress rebound. Care extends beyond the clinic into everyday life, where it continues through similar channels. Wilsons Creek Animal Hospital offers a highly sophisticated clinical model to pet owners in Springfield, Missouri. The treatment rooms are integrated into the care processes, the transitions reduce stress, and all other elements harmonize to ensure patient stabilization is never rushed. Some popular services offered by the hospital are cardiology, laboratory, in-house pharmacy, radiology (x-rays), dental care, vaccinations, spay/neuter, deworming, orthopedic surgery and nutritional counseling. From routine care plans to intricate medical cases, pet owners can feel confident and secure that their pets will always receive the best possible care. The team is poised for continuous growth and expansion, ensuring that pets across Springfield and the broader United States have access to quality care.

Very attentive and helpful. I had to put down my 16 year old cat, on August 25, 2017. The Vet was very nice and he answered all my questions and they did everything we could for my cat before we came to the conclusion that her quality of life was not good and we had to finally put her down. They explained everything to me so I could understand it. Once the process was completed I was given my cremated cat in a very beautiful Cedar box with her name engraved on the top. I was very pleased with it. After a month I adopted 2 kittens and took them here and they were very good with them as well. The prices are moderate and worth the good quality of their service. I'm giving a three star rating because they don't and won't give confortis as a solution to fleas. All they want to give you is a topical ointment that is gross and makes the animals fur greasy. I love on and pet my animals everyday and don't want to be restricted from my cuddle time because of a flea ointment, but I also don't want my animals to suffer from fleas. I want confortis. Not vectra. Quit trying to sell it to me. I don't want it. I'm seriously about to take my three pets to a new vet that will prescribe the flea medication I want. I have a cat who has a serious skin allergy to fleas, God only knows how her sensitive skin would react to a chemical on her back. Read Less

Warning!!!! Please be aware. Took my 3 year old cat here because she was lethargic and not eating for three days prior to appt. First time ive ever seen this cat sick. Dr. Quickly diagnosed her with "alarmingly low heart rate" and stated heart issues causing this illness. He did blood work but forgot to take her temperature despite saying she did in fact feel warm. Blood work was fine but cat appeared slightly dehydrated. Wanted heart tests done...her estimate bill..from 385.00 to 435.00. I said i wanted to second opinion heart tests simply because my gut feeling seemed off about this quick diagnosis without any other consideration of her reasons to be ill. He and the office seemed offended i did not rush into these tests especially when I said I wanted to follow up with her breeder and prior vet about the heart concerns. I definitely felt pressured.... my concern was not actually about the cost...it felt premature and rush to judgement about this being problem. I called my cats breeder and her former vet who both saw red flags about this visit and strongly encouraged second opinion from another vet. I took her to another local vet following day with very different diagnosis. Heart rate 140 and doctor said it actually was strong....all vitals were of young healthy cat (no change in behavior of cat btw.) Had low grade fever. (Dr. Weddle never checked her temperature) New vet did very thorough exam with far more explanations and information about maine coons including detailed information about their heart and what to be aware about with this breed. I received helpful information not scare tactics. This second vet looked at whole situation and took his time ....(exactly my oppisite feeling at wilsons creek). Received antibiotic and cat started eating and drinking within two hours. She rebounded so fast and back to good energy and obviously feels 100 percent better in no time at all following this appointment. My advice is find right doctor for you and your pets. Wilsons creek created doubts and stress for me and zero help for cats illness. ..After second vet...cat back to normal within hours and i came away far more educated. Shop wisely people. Read Less

Fantastic staff and veterinarian! Read this review. When I experienced an emergency with my lab/retriever mix as a new resident of Springfield, Dr. Weddle saw my dog when no other vet would due to my not being a client. I am so happy he did! The most truly attentive and caring vet I have ever had, even while being a clearly knowledgeable professional. Gave my dog a thorough physical and walked me through everything he was doing and genuinely wanted to get to the bottom of my dog's problem. Not only was the care top-notch, but he gave me a number of discounts and what I have no doubt would have cost many hundreds anywhere else only cost me a fraction of that here. I cannot thank the staff enough for helping me in my time of need, reassuring me, and helping my dog get better. I am a lifelong client at Wilson's Creek Animal Hospital for sure!Read Less

The Wilson's Creek Animal Hospital deserves more than 5 stars. I am excited to bring my dog back next time, it was a fantastic experience. First, they scheduled me on the fly. I called and told the friendly front desk lady that I could be there in ten minutes and she welcomed me. I was there for an examination and flea tick meds. I walked in the door ten minutes later and was directed to a room. The vet assistant, who very nice and professional, visited with me. We talked a little about my pup and my reasons for the visit. They had no problem contacting my previous vet to gather information about my dog. The Vet, Dr. David Weddle, came into the room not 5 minutes after his assistant had left. He was very kind to my dog and gave me an overview of how our visit would proceed. He did a THOROUGH check of my dog a the while talking me though what he was doing any why. I was very happy to hear his thoughts and suggestions. He asked me questions about the food I was feeding her and if I had seen any changes in her behavior. I was honestly not expecting this type of service. He went the extra mile to address everything about my dog. He left the room. I was then presented with a REPORT CARD about my dog and how her exam went. The prices are fair. They even, really, called me the next day to make sure that my dog was doing alright after her vaccinations and to see if I had any questions. They deserve your business and will be receiving mine as long as I am in town. Read Less

Read Less
