As a dog sport competitor and professional trainer, I have had trouble finding vets in the past who are knowledgeable on behavior, training, weight, and the owner's assessment of their own dog. Arch Animal Hospital has blown previous vets out of the water in this department and has a very professional, dedicated staff with fantastic diagnostic support from their veterinarians and an impressive customer service skill set as well. Absolutely wonderful place! From the moment we walked in, I knew we were going to love this place for our dog. The entire staff was great with my dog and encouraged us to hold him during vaccinations (instead of taking him in a back room as other vets have done before). Dr. Mike was incredible and answered all my questions thoroughly. Not only was the staff great with our dog, they also helped us jump start our car on our way out. I have struggled with many vets over controversial topics and setting my dogs up to succeed while we are there, but Arch Animal Hospital goes above and beyond in their education, understanding, trust and bedside manner. Dr. Mike and his staff have always been wonderful, but when our dog got cancer they went above and beyond. It was obviously a very difficult time for our family and they were incredibly supportive. I talked to Dr. Mike almost every day during our dog's last few days. He answered all of my questions and gave me guidance. Wouldn't go anywhere else! When I first came to AAH, I was nervous to try a new vet when I moved to back to saint Louis. Dr Holly and her staff were incredible. When Dr. Holly sold the practice and Dr. Mike Richards took over, I was a little nervous to have yet another new vet. I would follow Dr Mike and his practice where ever, IF ever they decide to move locations. I am beyond happy with the service that they provide. Dr. Mike and Dr Wolf are great with the "patients" and the staff know me by name! The staff even do follow up calls when one of my pups has been sick or has recently been in for a visit. I don't have anything witty or clever to say, except for this is a solid vet.After we lost our last dog, we made the decision on adopting another not too long after.  I wasn't completely disappointed with our last vet, they were more convenient to our home, but the place was dirty, the staff was rude and the price was always high.From the very beginning, the staff and vet has been super friendly.  The facility is clean, open and bright.  They conduct themselves in a professional manner.  It is easy to tell the vet really cares about animals and is sympathetic to my questions.Their prices are very reasonable.  We were nickel and dimed at the last vet, but I don't feel like I was the one who had my anal glands expressed after I leave here.If you're in the market for a new vet or not, give them a shot. Wonderful and very professional staff. I've had horrible experiences with other vets in the past and have always worried about where to take my pet. My boyfriend's mom recommended me to Dr. Mike who has cared for my boyfriend's dog before and has always been good to his family. They are absolutely compassionate and good hearted people with affordable prices. I recently lost my cat to terminal cancer and they were very supportive in trying to make this process as easy as possible for me. They helped me through this first loss and even sent me a very much appreciated sympathy card. Their love and compassion for each patient and each visit means the world to me. I switched vets about 4 months ago when my beloved Zorro had an epileptic attack. I was looking for a place that  would take the time to talk to me about all the new found questions and concerns I have associated with this affliction.I called Arch Animal Hospital as it is close to my home. They have 2 vetenarians which I was glad to hear.  Dr. Pollack met with me and went over all my concerns. She answered all of my questions and gave me estimates on the procedures I was considering. This consultation was free of charge. She told me if I wanted  to take the time and think out about everything, to do so. I told her no, I was comfortable with her, and how I felt and went ahead with the tests. Today,  (4 months later) Zorro needed to go back in for blood tests and a Bromide test to check the levels in his system.  I already new what my costs would be from her previous estimates. I really do not like a surprise bill. He was charged for the tests and not for a doctor's visit, even though Dr. Pollack came in the room to see if I had any questions or concerns.The staff is very friendly. Zorro comes flying in the office and stands at the counter with his big paws and tongue hanging out. "I'm Here"  They laugh and give him a treat.   They do have a black cat Oscar that is not partial to my Zorro. Zorro thinks everyone should love him!Another woof- out from Zorro! Read Less

A place where everybody knows your pet's name :DThe staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. The vet is amazing! I have a Westie with skin issues. I tried everything up to and including daily shots! Arch Animal Hospital was able to fix my pet's issues with diet and shampoo. They send you pet cards with your pet's picture and the dates they will be due for their shots. They give pet report cards following visits. And they seem to genuinely love your pets!
