I brought my dog for his initial visit on Nov. 20, 2019. Dr. Frei is absolutely wonderful. She did not rush; a superb bedside manner- very gentle with my dog; explained everything to me in an easy manner; all treatment options were discussed etc. I left my visit with the knowledge that my dear pet had received superb care at a reasonable cost. If you want high quality care that is cost effective for your pet this is the place. E.S.

I decided to try out Affton Vet clinic when I was frustrated with Watson animal clinic. Dr. Brooks finally diagnosed an issue I had asked 3 or 4 different vets, and was so patient with my old dog. Our service was always immediate here, and I really felt like we received dedicated and personalized care. When the most unfortunate time came, I was able to schedule a home visit, where my dog was comfortable, and I felt so much better about everything. Dr Brooks and the team were so sweet through it all. They may not be quite as cheap as Watson Rd, but they are certainly within reason, and in my opinion, definitely worth it.

My family has been taking our pets here for many years. They have always been wonderful with them.
I have twice had the unfortunate experience of having to have pets put down. Both times the staff has been incredibly empathetic, kind and gentle, not just with the pet but with the family. They go well beyond. After they have taken care of our beloved pets, the took a paw print and put the pets name and date, making it into something that could be used as a tree ornament during the holidays as a fond memory of our fur Angels.
I highly recommend this clinic.

Dr Tara Brooks and all of her staff are very professional, courteous, and cordial can not say enough good things about Dr Brooks so nice and so helpful going the extra mile to make sure our dog JULES gets the best medical treatment available all the time, every time we always have a pleasant experience with all of the staff there every one is just great and amazing to us always very friendly, caring, helpful, dedicated, and knowledgeable Dr Brooks and her team are fantastic people who really love animals and it shows in their commitment our dog JULES was diagnosed with a tumor in her bladder when she was 13 years old by Dr Brooks and I really needed a Veterinarian to be understanding in our very difficult time JULES was giving a year and a half to live the tumor was in a place were it could not be removed unfortunately Dr Brooks was there for us the whole way though she knew this was not just our dog but that JULES was family our little precious girl that we love with all of our hearts and souls forever we are very grateful and appreciate all that they do for the animals highly recommend so glad they are in the neighborhood excellent service MAY CHRIST OUR LORD AND SAVIOUR GOD TRULY BLESS Dr Tara Brooks and all of her staff all the days of there lives as they work to treat and save our beloved animals and take care of them keeping them happy and living long healthy lives

Went here today bc my dog got stung in the mouth by a wasp. The Dr was extremely nice and very gentle with my 14 year old dog. Got me in super fast and didn't cost alot at all. Would highly recommend.

I have never come across a more passionate doctor. Her intense desire to help the animals is unprecedented. She is a just, caring, knowledgeable and dedicated Veterinarian. Her team runs circles to keep her and the clients on time and on track. I have recommended her to many of my personal friends and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the masses. It is a small but effective clinic and they have always done their best to accommodate my schedule needs.

I am a pet lover, and I have to say that Dr Brooks and her staff is by far the best group of pet care givers I have ever met, my dog Mac hated vets, but this group made him happy to be cared for, they were totally supportive to me through his life and in his passing. This place is very tight and small. I'm used to more open concept establishments but they really do a fantastic job. Took my 9 year Shiba here to get her teeth cleaned and they did quality work. The post cleaning was very informative, they weren't bothered by my questions, and also genuinely care about animals. The vet (i forgot her name because i'm terrible with names) was gentle, very sweet, and knowledgable about cali's breed. I would really like to see them expand or even find a slightly larger location. They really are a great facility. I will be returning for all future vet visits for her and my other dog now.

My family and I have only used 2 other veterinary offices in the years we've had furry companions, but after using AVC, since it's the closest to our home, we were sold immediately. The receptionists are so sweet and upbeat both on the phone and in person, the Techs are hands-on, yet gentle, and Dr. Brooks is very patient and thorough with both clientele and the patient. Any questions you have, are always answered in a timely fashion, costs are very reasonable, and even if you are one who has financial struggles, like myself, they take the time to go over your options. The gentleman there (Andrew?) introduced me to CareCredit, and it's been a lifesaver for the care of my babies! If you are looking for compassionate, professional care, I would recommend them 100%!

Visited this clinic a few days ago because they said they handle small/exotic animals like guinea pigs. He has a big lump with an open, bleeding area in his belly, dragging his hind legs and not eating and drinking as much. Went in and the vet just examined him and did nothing else. I was referred us to a different vet who specializes on small animals. Really? You could have said no in the first place so I didn't have to waste my time going to your clinic and paying money for nothing done for my suffering pet!

Outstanding. We're a multi-pet household, and we've used this Clinic for years and years. We were a little nervous when Dr. Brooks took it over 5 or 6 years ago, because we were used to the prior owner and as any pet owner will tell you, picking a regular vet isn't a matter of throwing darts. So we decided to stick with this Clinic and see what we thought of the new doctor. We're both glad we did.Our most recent visit was, sadly, for the passing of our four-legged girl Lucy, whom we'd had for a decade. Lucy had emergency surgery, and Dr. Brooks knew enough about how close people are to their pets to call me and let me know what she found, to give me her recommendations, and to allow us the few minutes to come down to the Clinic for a goodbye even though Lucy was anesthetized and on the surgical table and really didn't know we were there. That was pretty important to my wife. And the way they treat you during, and after, such a thing is truly commendable.Dr. Brooks and staff have taken very good care of our pets over the years. They give you your reminders, calls, and recommendations and all without pressure. Our pets are our family, and this woman understands that. I don't gloss over the bad stuff when I find it... but there's no bad stuff here. Top notch, and we're grateful for it.

I have been bringing my two dogs here for quite a while now, and I am always pleased with the service. The Dr.'s take very good care of them. This office has never attempted to charge me for testing or anything else that isn't needed. I used the HSMO vet clinic for a long time but switched to Affton because they don't keep me waiting 30 mins at every appointment and the prices are more reasonable. I have recommended Affton vet clinic to all of my friends and will continue to do so.

I decided to try out Affton Vet clinic when I was frustrated with Watson animal clinic. Dr. Brooks finally diagnosed an issue I had asked 3 or 4 different vets, and was so patient with my old dog. This place is very tight and small. I'm used to more open concept establishments but they really do a fantastic job. Took my 9 year Shiba here to get her teeth cleaned and they did quality work. The post cleaning was very informative, they weren't bothered by my questions, and also genuinely care about animals. The vet (i forgot her name because i'm terrible with names) was gentle, very sweet, and knowledgable about cali's breed. I would really like to see them expand or even find a slightly larger location. They really are a great facility. I will be returning for all future vet visits for her and my other dog now.

My family and I have only used 2 other veterinary offices in the years we've had furry companions, but after using AVC, since it's the closest to our home, we were sold immediately. The receptionists are so sweet and upbeat both on the phone and in person, the Techs are hands-on, yet gentle, and Dr. Brooks is very patient and thorough with both clientele and the patient. Any questions you have, are always answered in a timely fashion, costs are very reasonable, and even if you are one who has financial struggles, like myself, they take the time to go over your options. The gentleman there (Andrew?) introduced me to CareCredit, and it's been a lifesaver for the care of my babies! If you are looking for compassionate, professional care, I would recommend them 100%!

Love this clinic, they have been amazing with our pets. We have an elderly lab and a younger mutt with a lot of allergies. Their care and patience has always been greatly appreciated by us.

They are easy to work with, fees won't break the bank, you'll never feel like just a number here. I have countless vets offices that are closer to me but I'll travel to see them!

Visited this clinic a few days ago because they said they handle small/exotic animals like guinea pigs. He has a big lump with an open, bleeding area in his belly, dragging his hind legs and not eating and drinking as much. Went in and the vet just examined him and did nothing else. I was referred us to a different vet who specializes on small animals. Really? You could have said no in the first place so I didn't have to waste my time going to your clinic and paying money for nothing done for my suffering pet!

Outstanding. We're a multi-pet household, and we've used this Clinic for years and years. We were a little nervous when Dr. Brooks took it over 5 or 6 years ago, because we were used to the prior owner and as any pet owner will tell you, picking a regular vet isn't a matter of throwing darts. So we decided to stick with this Clinic and see what we thought of the new doctor. We're both glad we did.Our most recent visit was, sadly, for the passing of our four-legged girl Lucy, whom we'd had for a decade. Lucy had emergency surgery, and Dr. Brooks knew enough about how close people are to their pets to call me and let me know what she found, to give me her recommendations, and to allow us the few minutes to come down to the Clinic for a goodbye even though Lucy was anesthetized and on the surgical table and really didn't know we were there. That was pretty important to my wife. And the way they treat you during, and after, such a thing is truly commendable.Dr. Brooks and staff have taken very good care of our pets over the years. They give you your reminders, calls, and recommendations and all without pressure. Our pets are our family, and this woman understands that. I don't gloss over the bad stuff when I find it... but there's no bad stuff here. Top notch, and we're grateful for it.

I have been bringing my two dogs here for quite a while now, and I am always pleased with the service. The Dr.'s take very good care of them. This office has never attempted to charge me for testing or anything else that isn't needed. I used the HSMO vet clinic for a long time but switched to Affton because they don't keep me waiting 30 mins at every appointment and the prices are more reasonable. I have recommended Affton vet clinic to all of my friends and will continue to do so.
