I can't say enough good things about the vets & staff. I would give more stars if I could. Been going here for 10 yrs. I have seen every vet there when my dog had stomach problems. They genuinely care about your pet & go above & beyond for them. Dr. king let my dog stay a couple days when he was really sick with no charge cause I had spent lots of $ due to his stomach issues. When he passed at the age of 10, Dr. Maladey sent a donation to a vet school in his honor. Dr Voytas came in on her day off to see my dog because he can only see females(was an emergency) I HIGHLY recommend!!!!! Read Less

I have been taking our dogs to Concord Animal Hospital since 1973 when I got my first puppy....6 dogs later I am still taking our current 2 dogs there. The compassion and expertise of the Vets are like no other. Dr. Jeager is our current vet, and my husband and I love him. We recently lost our 17 year old Yorkie to old age...the staff and Dr. J were so helpful and kind through this time. We would not take our pets anywhere else!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR FUR BABIES HERE!!! I took my 11 week old puppy here after she had been stung by a bee. Within minutes, her face and eyes were puffy and swollen. By the time I got her to this hospital, she could barely see. I told them she was having a severe reaction to the bee sting and needed direct medical attention. They took her away from me for a moment, then later returned to tell me she was fine and put us in a room by ourselves. I heard 2 people talking outside our door, one of them stated, "she could have been given benedryl and would have been just fine." Yet no one came into the room to speak with us. We went untreated and unspoken to for 25 minutes before I left and took her to GrantView. This office is not professional and at no point did anyone come in the room, offer advice, or even say what the plan was. The room I was in was filthy, sticky yellow goo was on the floor, so I held my pup the whole time. They did not seem to be worried about her severe reaction, they gave her no water (which is an obvious thing to give some one with an allergic reaction). I could have taken better care of her at home than they did! GrantView was understanding of her emergency and was very attentive to us. They called back and made sure she was doing well and made sure I was comfortable with the treatment plan before leaving. I will NEVER take any of my fur babies here ever again. If you have an emergency, your likely to wait 30 minutes to be seen. Read Less

My yorkie had dental surgery here with Dr. Malway (not sure on spelling) and he did a great job! Also cleaned her teeth and they are super white now. All the staff were very friendly. They are also reasonably priced. I definitely recommend this vet. I will be bringing my two dogs here from now on and that says a lot bc I am very picky when it comes to doctors and veterinarians:) Read Less

Good local vet, literally 5 minutes from the house. They don't over book and make you wait, when its your scheduled appointment they are right there. Glad to have them around for any of my pets needs. Read Less

My oldest dog has been coming to see Dr. King for quite some time and he has been nothing but great. Funny, caring and an overall decent guy. I had recently adopted a much younger pup and took her in to see him and he was simply put wonderful to her too. After being customers for about 14 years, we have seen almost every vet there with one animal or another and have received excellent care. They are all calm, caring, knowledgeable vets (and Dr. Jaeger is hilarious!). I only wish two things: 1. that they had Saturday hours until 5:00 and 2. that they had told me how important it was to give my diabetic cat her insulin exactly 12 hours apart. You will not find a more compassionate and wonderful person then Dr. Voytas. She has been my veterinarian for 8 years. She took excellent care of my Boston Terrier every time we visited. Dr. Voytas demonstrated her amazing compassion by coming to my house when my doggie's time had come. As we gathered around to say our goodbyes, Dr. Voytas felt like one of the family. My best friend Maynard has been seeing Dr. King for years now.  Dr. King has a fantastic history of loyal clients. I read a review on Dr. King years ago and never looked for another Dr. again.  This palce is Awesome the friendly and always knowledgeable staff loves your friends as much as you might.  Thank You Ashley Lamb. Maynard wont set still for me when I touch is nails but for you it seams just fine.  When ever he sees you guys he gets excited.          Dr. King is a fantastic Dr. all around. I have talked to many people over the years that say thing like we have taken all our animals to see Dr. King for years now. Word of mouth is king for Dr. King. If you dont like your current Vet go here if you need a vet go here.        Priceing I have nothing really to compare to. I will tell you I have never had to pay more than what I thought was necessary or never thought that was too much to pay for services or meds. Matter of fact their has been several time where I said " thats it thats all it cost". They do offer kennel services and I have used them several times great prining on that. Read Less

I have not taken my own dogs here yet because I do not currently live in St. Louis but my mom has been going to this vet for as long as I can remember. We had a dog for over 14 years and Dr. Yaeger always took great care of her. My mom had to make a difficult decision recently to put her down because of old age. Dr. Yaeger took the time to send a hand-written letter to my family about our dog. I know that when I move back I will definitely be bringing my dogs to him. I would like to begin and tell you how disappointed I was with the practice. I have taken many a dog there in the past. Last Thursday morning my dog tried to jump onto the couch and fell back. She immediately let out a scream. She was having trouble putting any pressure on her back legs for any amount of time. I called my husband home from work to take her into your clinic. The doctor there said that she didn't see anything wrong with our dog and sent us home with non-steroidal medicine. When I arrived home from work I took one look at her and could tell there was something terribly wrong. I called your office on Saturday only to be told that Dr. Yaeger was completely booked and that Dr. Weber could see her. Dr. Weber was the one that had seen her on Friday and as for as I was concerned misdiagnosed her along with giving her the wrong medication. I was told that if I insisted on seeing Dr. Yaeger that it would be a two hour wait. What does emergency mean to you. If I just needed a doctor for annual shots I could go to a pet store. I feel that this was not handled correctly. I therefore took my animal to Webster Groves Animal Hospital where they diagnosed her with a bulging disc and gave her the appropriate medication for her condition. They also advised that we obtain a x-ray to make sure that she had no other issues. The doctor there has called once to see how Cassidy is doing and to make sure everything is fine. That is what I truly think a Animal Hospital is all about, not just the money. I would like a refund for my visit on along a refund for the wrong medication prescribed. Debbie Hixson Read Less

My dog passed away this week after having been taken care of at the Concord Animal Hospital for all 15 years of her life. Her primary vet was Dr. King, but she had been seen by Dr. Jaeger and Dr. Voitas as well. The care and compassion she received by all 3 doctors was beyond belief. I always knew Mandy was in good hands and she would be given the best care available. I never felt rushed by either doctors or staff. Dr. King was wonderful about returning phone calls and checking up on Mandy. He always treated her as one of his own. Unfortunately, It was not to be, and at the age of 15 Mandy passed to her everlasting sleep. But I can sleep at night knowing Dr. King and I did everything possible to make her comfortable in her final days and she died with her dignity. Read Less

Dr. Jaeger is a womderful vet. He gets on the floor to greet our dogs and clearly enjoys them. As our dogs grew older he was very focused on what was the best for them and in tune with our wishes. When our dog passed on he sent a personal note. He joyfully helped us welcome our new pet into our family. We have brought our dogs (and cats of course) here for years.  Seriously, my family's file is about 9 inches thick.  We aren't the only ones though.  There are people that work at the clinic on weekends just to help pay their vet fees, so at least we haven't been reduced to that. Regardless, this place is wonderful.  The doctors are all incredibly adept at their jobs, and they have excellent bedside manner.  Even my dog, who has a bad tendency to bite when you do ANYTHING to his ears (I swear, he's the sweetest dog in the world though) puts up with the vets here.  If you are looking for a quality vet that you can actually trust your pets with, I highly recommend these guys. We just had our Whippet, Cindy there. She cut her back leg while on a walk and had to have stiches put in to close it! He was SUPER nice! Fit us in without an appointment! She also had a bladder infection and he got her some medicine for it and didn't charge us! We will go back for certain from now on! Read Less
