First off, I found the vet and staff to be very impersonal. Not what I expected from a "neighborhood vet". Felt almost like the vet was reading from a script. They also have cheap plastic outdoor lawn chairs for the waiting room and in the exam rooms (I'm a big guy and lawn chairs aren't exactly comfortable for me). Now I really had no problem with my visit other than them not weighing the dog (figured that was just an honest mistake) My big complaint is afterwards when I went to place an online order for heartworm medication. The vet flat out refused to fax or call in my prescription and wanted me to come into their office and purchase one or more doses and they'd give me a written prescription which I can then mail into the online company. I don't have time for this. Every other vet I've had, this hasn't been an issue. Where I purchase the medication is up to me. I prefer not to be extorted or raked over the coals by over-priced vet supplied meds. They can keep their prescription. This is enough that I will never return to this vet and wouldn't recommend anyone else doing so. Read Less

I first met Dr. Raymond while I was fostering a dog through rescue organization named “Dogs Deserve Better”. I had NO CHOICE but to go to Dr. Raymond for my foster dog’s medical health, because the rescue organization was linked to Hampton Animal Hospital. Eventually I adopted by foster dog Scooby. My first intention was to take my newly adopted dog to my prior veterinary who took previous care of prior deceased dog which I had for 13 years. My prior veterinary took wonderful care for him during his 13 years. HOWEVER, I saw how Dr. Raymond performed with my foster dog Scooby for a year and I was very IMPRESSED. My Scooby, can be a very intimidating dominating canine, but Dr. Raymond did not shy away and was WONDERFUL with Scooby. Therefore, I NOW fell very COMFORTABLE with Dr. Raymond taking care of newly adopted dog Scooby for his entire canine life. Nothing but “HIGH PRAISES” for Hampton Animal Hospital with Dr. Raymond and his staff!! :-) From Joe R and Scooby Read Less

I moved back to St. Louis in 2007 after living a couple years out of town. My previous vet had retired, so I was looking for a new vet to help take care of my epileptic lab. My dog's body would not digest everything he hate - so he took up to 8x of the medicines other dogs would take for his condition, and it still didn't solve the problem. Dr. Geisman continued to see us regularly, was willing to try new techniques, called regularly to the leading veterinary universities for thoughts/suggestions, and ultimately gave us one of my poor dog's best years. He is an outstanding vet and is obviously very passionate about what he does. I recommend him to anyone who asks. Read Less
