I'm not picky about my veterinarians, so I was just looking for someone to visit occasionally for routine shots and such and this place was fairly close to my house. I've now been here 4-5 times and I just don't understand the positive reviews. The customer service is TERRIBLE. Let me explain my last visit, where I needed to bring in my dog for a flu shot, which was required by her doggie daycare place. I scheduled an appointment for a doggie flu shot at 6:00pm, several weeks in advance. A day after I scheduled the appointment, I received a postcard in the mail stating that my pup was due for her annual bordetella shot. Fine. I called Watson Road (during business hours) to see if she could go ahead and get the bordetella at the same as the flu shot. Why didn't they tell me she was due for that when I booked the flu shot? In any event, no one answered the phone when I called (per the usual), so I left a message. No call back. A few days later, I tried calling again and got someone to answer. "Sure, no problem," as they rushed me off the phone. I arrived at my appointment promptly at 6:00pm and signed in. And waited. And waited. And waited. Finally, someone behind the counter calls me up around 6:30pm. "What brings you in today?" he asks. "I have an appointment at 6:00pm...30 minutes ago." "For what?" "A flu shot and a bordetella shot," I said. "Okay, we'll call you when you're ready." Finally, an HOUR after my scheduled appointment, they called me back. I've seen this particular veterinarian several times now, and he's never been friendly, but this time, he started making weird hand gestures towards my dog and teasing her, saying, "Are you scared? Are you scared?" while making strange noises and waving his hands around. Very bizarre. So, my dog started growling at him (a very rare thing for her) and he seemed agitated at this, so he goes to get some treats to try to make friends with her (dude, you started it!). I see he has one vaccine in his hand and I suspiciously ask, "Is that both bordetella and the flu shot?" "Oh, she needs the bordetella one?" Shouldn't you know this as the veterinarian with her records in front of you?! "Yeah, I said. I got a postcard in the mail." "Oh, okay." And he leaves to go get the bordetella shot, without even looking through her records to confirm what I said. After I get out of there, I go to the checkout and stand there for 5 minutes or so without anyone acknowledging me. Finally, a young guy rudely says, "What do you need?" "Umm...I need to pay." I then asked for a copy of her records to take to doggie daycare, and he clearly was annoyed at this request. $60 and an hour and a half later, we were on our way. Sadly, this has been the experience I've had EVERY TIME I've gone there. Oh, and the place is totally filthy every time, like they haven't sweeped or mopped for weeks. The waiting room is disgusting. I won't be returning. Read Less
