Yesterday 9-8-17 we visited this vet for rabies shots for our cat and new dog. We called ahead of time and faxed all our paperwork which we got from the humane society. Tender Care said they would take the free humane society rabies voucher in which we were given when we rescued our new puppy from the humane society. We arrived ahead of time. The employee in the front asked if I brought a stool sample. I told him ,"no, I was not told I needed to. " he said it was no problem and that I could run a sample up there. (This was *strike 1* as they are already costing me time and money to run my dogs fecies back up there) So, we go to a room after waiting 5 minutes. We get into a room and a tech comes in within a min or two. She explains to me that they do not accept the humane society voucher (in which they previously told me they would) because it is a "humane society of missouri" voucher. (I do not know the difference.) She said we could get a rabies vaccine at their facility today for $85. (*strike 2*) why would I pay $85 when I could go somewhere else and get it free! I opted out of their $85 rabies for my dog but decided to go ahead and have my cat get his. The tech said it would be a little wait because the vet was in surgery. I waited exactly. 45mins and no one came into the room. *strike 3* I left. They never called either to apologize. I wouldn't waste my time and money on this vet if I were you. Read Less

I'm so very impressed with Tender Care! My pets were treated like family by all the staff. Their prices were extremely fair and they discussed each price with me before doing any tests or giving medication so there were no surprises. My sister use to work here and she started fostering kittens. Today my 9 year old niece found one of the foster kittens had passed away. She was devasted! My niece has a huge heart for people and animals. My sister had taken the foster baby to tendercare. A few hours later I called tendercare and explained who i was and how my niece found the kitten this morning. I asked them if there was anyway they could make her a paw print for her. They told me it wasnt a problem at all they told understood and were amazing! We cant thank you guys enough for making her a paw print of "fluffys" paw. It means the world to her that she will always have a piece of the foster baby with her forever!! Thank you guys for being amazing!! I just love Tender Care Animal Hospital. I found them after I adopted a new kitten recently. The care and compassion shown by the vets and vet techs is amazing. My cat is a very loving cat and was sitting on my pourch and was lured away from the front of my house and dropped off days later here and the staff scanned my cat and found he had a home! I received a call before 11 am and so thankful someone had him. They took amazing care of my cat and were so wonderful when I got there to pick him. Amazing staff! We took our new kitten, Lucas Alexander, to Tender Care Animal Hospital yesterday to receive his complimentary exam, something they offer if you adopt from the St. Charles animal shelter.  We were very impressed with our experience!  The staff acted in a very caring, pleasant and compassionate manner throughout the duration of our visit!We wanted to address a few heath concerns we had about our kitten.  He has an issue with one of his eyes, not life threatening, but it does cause him to not be able to open the particular eye all the way.  We assume that he was born this way... anyways Dr. Emily recommended a laser procedure that she felt could help our little kitty out.  The best part is, is that the St. Charles animal shelter is going to pay for the surgery!!  Hopefully it will help little Lucas to open his eye up a little more! :-)Dr. Emily quickly diagnosed a minor ear infection and sent us home with the right antibiotics to clear it up within a couple of weeks.  We also had a feline leukemia/FIV test done (also paid for by the St. Charles animal shelter!!!) which came back negative!! :-)Evelyn and Sequoya very kindly and patiently took the time to show me the proper way to give Lucas his medication and they also showed me how to clip his nails!  I was clipping them on my own with confidence before I even left Tender Care Animal Hospital!Amanda and Karen were attending the front desk when we arrived and when we departed.  They greeted us very kindly and warmly when we got there and were pleasant to interact with throughout our visit!After having such a great experience here today, I know that this is absolutely the place that I will be heading to for all of my veterinary needs and I will also recommend Tender Care to all of my family and friends in the area.  Thank you Tender Care taking such good care of our kitten! Amazing staff and super clean. Dr. Emily was excellent! I have an English Bulldog and all the staff came out to welcome us for our first visit. The vet tech Bri was super helpful and even told me ways to SAVE money in the future. My puppy has a vet for life now! Read Less

Dr. Bob is a really compassionate and caring vet.  I wish more vets cared as much as he does!  I run a rescue in California and have gone to his clinic in Poway (Best Friends).  He has done amazing work on many of our rescue animals.  Due to the fact that I had to relocate to the Midwest it is hard to find a good vet that I trust.  Luckily Dr. Bob has a clinic 3 hours from where I live.  Yes I drove to Tender Care when he was in town so that my current foster dog and my cat could receive the best care.  I was just as impressed with the staff at this clinic as I was with the one in Poway.  If you want a compassionate and loving vet seeing your pet, this is the place to go!  Thank you Dr. Bob and staff for all you do for the animals. I could not say anything better about this clinic. I have a golden doodle named carol who our family adores. She goes to mainly see her favorite vet tech Sara. I was very pleased in the first place with the price that I researched online, that caught my attention. I was expecting the worse compared to what I paid when we got there. But I was wrong, the staff/ tech was very nice, handle our two large breed dogs very well and were so kind. Dr Judy was very nice too, she realized my shepard was scared and noticed that and didnt force him to behave. She was patient and kind with both my babies :) I also really appreciated the follow up call!! I would totally recommend this vet to anyone and we def have found our new vet!! Thanks so much! Dr. Judy was so attentive to my pets. And between her and the technician answering all of my questions and giving me quotes on procedures, I really felt fully informed about what was going on. I was also pleasantly surprised by the follow-up call that Dr. Judy did just to check up on them. I really felt at home and a sincere care for my animals when I was there.
