I took my fur baby to Big Sky Vet to catch up on vaccines and check out a lump on his chest. Dr. Davis was extremely patient with him, as my pup was nervous and is not the easiest animal to deal with. Her assistant/nurse, Tristan, was also very caring and gentle with him despite his anxiety. They ended up trimming his nails, which is a huge struggle at home, and examined his hips and knees for arthritis. Dr. Davis gave me a free sample of an anti-inflammatory to try after telling me that his knees do, in fact, have arthritis. They were so helpful and patient. We have been taking our Bailey girl here since she was a puppy and all the vets and vet techs are very kind and great and it’s obvious they are pet lovers. Bailey also attends day care on occasion and the staff is great with her. All of the staff are wonderful and we are happy to have found them. Highly recommend them!! Read Less

I just wanted to say how amazing the staff and dr. Rob are!! Yesterday we had a hurting puppy and we moved to the west end from Lockwood so driving him to Lockwood was further then we wanted. The staff got us in right away and Dr. Rob took such great care of our Copper!! The doctor and the nurses explained everything so we could understand!! Thank you so much big sky vet!!! Dr. Rob is a wonderful surgeon with great "pet-side" manner. It was obviously a busy Friday for the office, yet he took extra time with all of our dogs to answer questions and get to know them, not forcing anything unnecessary. Great moderate, open minded and personalized approach to veterinary medicine. Well worth the 5hr drive. He also found a very small additional mass, saving our Star either another surgery at least, or her life at most. The entire staff was very sweet and accommodating to each of our dogs, thorough requesting old records prior to our arrival, and updating and checking on us throughout and after the surgery. We see Dr Sonya, she specializes in homeopathic care and to me that is important. However she also uses traditional care which is best of both worlds. We adopted two abused crested and she has been tackling the issues that came with them. The front desk is both friendly but also helpful and if they don't know the answer they will go ask. Can't emphasize how important that is, my other vet office is losing me and the rest of my pets for that reason alone.One drawback is that they book up fast for boarding so you need to be on the ball and call in weeks in advance. Great clean place with friendly staff! All three vets are so caring and compassionate about what they do. I will not board my dogs anywhere else. They have little rooms instead of kennels and they can play with other dogs too! Read Less

Not satisfied at all. He takes your pet in the back room without you to do the exam. After he was done with the "exam" he called me back there and said all looks good. However my dog had a tumor the size of a half of a foot ball and he did not catch it. I mentioned the tumor to him, and he was surprised and embarrassed. I wonder if he ever did an exam since I was not invited to the room and he never caught a tumor that extreme. Read Less
