primary focus is wellness and preventative medicine that starts with your puppy or kitten and continues into their senior years. Our programs help your furry
family member live longer, happier, healthier lives. In addition to offering exams,
vaccinations, spays and neuters, some of our other services include: digital
radiography, chemotherapy, soft tissue surgery, orthopedic surgery, nutrition
counseling, dental cleanings, ultrasonography and in house blood analyzers.
Bellevue Hours: Monday 7:30am to 7:00pm; Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday

I am very new to the area and had a very sick doggie. While juggling a PCS move with my three children, in a town where we know no one, living in an empty house for a month before we receive our belongings, having also two sick children and with a husband overseas, my sweet Bear became ill. As I cried in the exam room because I’m overwhelmed by everything, including the bloody doggie diarrhea now covering my back seat of my car, the staff showed no compassion for my situation... or my dog. I had $190 to my name and they had already charged me $176. I was down to $15 and they knew this. I was very upfront with my situation upon entering the appointment. They still pushed me for a medication for which I was $11 short. This is all the money I have to my name for the next few days. There was no human decency or compassion whatsoever. They were more focused on spitting out lines from the agreement I signed than hearing my pain and concern for my dog. I ended up having to sign up for their $200 minimum credit card to cover the $11 I needed for the medicine, which I told them I could pay in 36 hours but they refused to help. I will not bring my pets back here and will not recommend this place to anyone I know. See More

Great experience and superb care- every time. I'm so glad that this fantastic business is located close to our home in Bellevue. They always have available appointments and often manage to let me squeeze my cat and dog into the same appointment slot and even give a discount for multiple pets. The facility is always perfectly clean and the technician is gentle and kind. The prices are reasonable and the doctors and technicians always ask us before running tests or procedures on our pets. I've been bringing my dog here since he was a puppy and I've just switched my cat over to this vet. We won't go anywhere else from now on.

My visit yesterday was great as usual. Tracy was very helpful in providing me with the various options I had regarding the items I needed to purchase for Winston. Tracy always greets you with a smile, listens to your concerns, and takes the next steps to provide you with the knowledge you need to make the best decisions for your issue. All the people I have worked with, from the front desk through the Doctors, have always been very pleasant and kind.

Awful place. The staff seemed nice and friendly on the phone, so that's why I decided to try this vets office. As soon as I walked through those doors I felt so uncomfortable the staff was so rude. Hard to communicate with, would get pissed if you asked them questions. I don't know if I got the lady on an off day but I felt like I didn't deserve to be treated so badly. Will never visit again.

I've been taking my cats and dogs to this clinic for years and they give excellent treatment and care to my pets. They've seen my pets for exams and immunizations (dogs and cats), respiratory problems and an eye injury (cat) and a hip injury (dog) and every service received has been outstanding. Very expensive! Went in because my regular vet wasn't able to fit me in and my dog's paw was swollen and he was limping. I thought if I had a good experience I may switch since Heartland is much closer to my house, even though I knew the office visit was double the cost of my regular vet. The vet barely looked at my dog's pay and suggested an xray to see if one of his toes was broken. I was told the xray was $175, and while I thought that was high, I was there, and if it was broken I didn't want my dog to suffer, so I agreed. His paw was fine, just probably got bit by a spider, which I feel the Dr. should have been able to figure out before the xray if she would have looked at it closer. By the time I got out of the vets office it was $350 for one xray, some pain pills and antibiotics. I called my regular vet and found out I paid triple what I would have paid if I had waited. I will not be returning.

Our cat experienced a horrible incident that we thought had broken his leg. We took him to Heartland Animal Hospital and he was seen immediately. After determining through x-ray that one of his back legs was, in fact, broken, we chose to take him to our own vet for treatment. Our vet could not cast our baby for two days. We then called Heartland back at 4pm in the afternoon and Dr. Kliewer said to bring him in immediately for casting. Costs were explained up front and our baby was taken in overnight, after casting, for observation. We picked him up the next day....our total balance was lower then what was originally quoted and our experience in all other ways was nothing but excellent. We had to take him back in 3 days later as the cast had slipped due to our kitty trying remove it by bouncing all over the house in frustration. It was quickly replaced and again the pricing was affordable. Thank you, Heartland Animal Hospital for the best in care and affordability.

Went there to take my puppy due to a cough and they misdiagnose her. I called and told them that is got worse and they asked for me to bring her in again and pay another visit. AKA- I already spent $90 and I feel if they diagnosed her right the first time I wouldn't now have 2 sick puppies.
I decided to take them both to a new vet in Omaha and they were very disappointed on how they misdiagnose Keddle Cough...
IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR PETS PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THEM TO HEARTLAND ANIMAL HOSPITAL.
THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING, BESIDE CONNING YOU OUT OF MONEY!!!!!!

Heartland vets have cared for 3 of our dogs over the past many years, and care is the key word. I have never felt that money was the primary concern for anyone who works there--in fact, just the opposite. There have been many services provided to our dogs that were truly well above and beyond--including Dr. Andrew giving us his home phone number when our dog had a serious issue. We are grateful that our dogs have lived long lives--and I attribute this to the vets at Heartland who not only provide medical but offer up-to-date advice, based on current research, which they obviously keep up with. And the staff couldn't be friendlier or more accommodating. I can't imagine going anywhere else, and we recommend them to everyone we know.

Oh boy... I called and just wanted to know how much a particular shot was and the visit to get said shot. After 7 minutes of verbal dancing and me agreeing that yes like my mechanic the vet may find more work to do and I know that's not included in the estimate they are giving me... I had to get off the phone. Might be a great place guess I'll never know.

I am very new to the area and had a very sick doggie. While juggling a PCS move with my three children, in a town where we know no one, living in an empty house for a month before we receive our belongings, having also two sick children and with a husband overseas, my sweet Bear became ill. Great experience and superb care- every time. I'm so glad that this fantastic business is located close to our home in Bellevue. They always have available appointments and often manage to let me squeeze my cat and dog into the same appointment slot and even give a discount for multiple pets. Awful place. The staff seemed nice and friendly on the phone, so that's why I decided to try this vets office. As soon as I walked through those doors I felt so uncomfortable the staff was so rude. Very expensive! Went in because my regular vet wasn't able to fit me in and my dog's paw was swollen and he was limping. Our cat experienced a horrible incident that we thought had broken his leg. We took him to Heartland Animal Hospital and he was seen immediately. After determining through x-ray that one of his back legs was, in fact, broken, we chose to take him to our own vet for treatment. Our vet could not cast our baby for two days. I have never felt that money was the primary concern for anyone who works there--in fact, just the opposite. There have been many services provided to our dogs that were truly well above and beyond--including Dr. Andrew giving us his home phone number when our dog had a serious issue. We are grateful that our dogs have lived long lives--and I attribute this to the vets at Heartland who not only provide medical but offer up-to-date advice, based on current research, which they obviously keep up with. And the staff couldn't be friendlier or more accommodating. I can't imagine going anywhere else, and we recommend them to everyone we know.

The people at this clinic are friendly and helpful but I really felt like they ran unnecessary tests on my dog to jack up the price so that a puppy visit for a 2nd puppy shot turned into a $220 bill and the estimate for the next visit was $130. Not going back!

Oh boy... I called and just wanted to know how much a particular shot was and the visit to get said shot. After 7 minutes of verbal dancing and me agreeing that yes like my mechanic the vet may find more work to do and I know that's not included in the estimate they are giving me... I had to get off the phone. Might be a great place guess I'll never know.
