The veterinarian services and front desk are superb. The grooming and vet management is awful.
My dog was cut so badly after his grooming here that I had to return him to be on antibiotics because the cuts were infected behind his legs. Twice he was sent home from daycare the week after grooming because his pads were too sore from being shaved too low. He would roll over and lick area for hours for a week after the grooming in discomfort. I have asked twice to be reimbursed for the grooming and they were only willing to give me 50%, even though I’ve had to go back to the vet twice to have him cared for from the grooming. To avoid making this right, they just sent me an email to remove me altogether from services from their clinic.

We recently had to make one of the hardest decisions. Our almost 16 year old Stafford, Dezi, had her age finally catch up with her. We have two daughters that have never lived without her. My wife and I are in our 40's and brought Dezi home in our 20's. She was one of my children. Belmont Veterinary was kind enough to come to our home to end Dezi's pain. She died in my arms in her own environment. A few days later, we received a poem in the mail from Belmont which included my dogs paw print. I cried but it was from happiness. Had a pretty good experience with this vet office. Dropped my dog off in the morning and picked him up in the evening for a haircut and routine shots. Staff seemed nice. I wasn't wanting to pay quite as much for everything, but it was in the range of everyone else in town. Big + was that they were able to get me scheduled within the week I wanted, where most other places were wanting like 3 weeks+ for an appt.

I have been going to Belmont for many years, but the last week reminded me exactly why... Nowadays its harder to find a vet that is more concerned with pets than money, NOT BELMONT! I had one dog get injured and a few days later my other got into medication and ate a large amount! Right now I am struggling with my own health issues, so I was terrified I wouldn't be able to help my babies... The angels at Belmont jumped right on it! Both times I was told to just get the dog in and we will figure it out later! They were very good at explaining everything, and doing EVERYTHING needed for my girls while keeping the cost as low as possible! If you want a vet that truly cares, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND BELMONT! So very very disappointed with Belmont. We have had you as our vet center since about 1995 and through at least eight pets two of which spent their last moments of life in your facility. My daughters boarded their puppy for the holiday weekend and when they picked her up she was soaked in urine as was her blanket. BOTH daughters called and spoke with office staff who clearly do not care about the concerns relayed to them. My daughters will be finding a new vet. They were told that since the trust has already been broken there is nothing Belmont can do to fix it. That is actually not true. An apology would have been a good start. If you can't adequately care for 50 animals then please don't agree to do so. I have always spoken highly of Belmont and the doctors. I guess things have changed. :-(

We took our happy, healthy Goldendoodle in on a Thursday to have a sebaceous cyst removed from her tail- no big deal we were told. After removal, we were told to bring her back for a re-check on Saturday morning. On Saturday, we are told the tail is cold - no blood flow and if this doesn't improve by Tuesday, they will have to do a partial tail amputation! Back on Tuesday, and we pick her up Wednesday night and her beautiful full length tail is now a 3 inch stump! She is anxious, withdrawn and keeps running in circles looking for a tail that no longer exists. Would not recommend this clinic to anyone!

We have had 2 dogs and a cat all visit the wonderful Doctors at Belmont in the past 9 years. We just returned from a family vacation and we had our dog, Charlie, stay at Belmont while we were away. He was able to get a check-up, his vaccines and a bath all while we were out of town. When we picked him up, he was healthy and happy, and smelled better too!! We would recommend Belmont for all of your veterinary needs!

I moved here three years ago with a senior dog. One of my biggest fears when looking for a vet was that they would want to try every expensive treatment without considering he was already at the tail end of his life. Dr. Haug was not like that at all. We had to make the decision to help Danny cross the Rainbow Bridge. When we arrived a bit early for the appointment, they already had the room ready for us. They were very considerate and asked if we were ready. Dr. Haug explained what we would witness, and gave us time after he had passed to be with Danny. He even asked if we wanted to take a piece of fur. Today I received two copies of the Rainbow Bridge poem with Danny's paw print. When we are ready to open our home to another dog, we will definitely go back to Belmont.

I would highly recommend the Belmont Veterinary Center for the care of your beloved pet. We had a beautiful German Shepherd mix named Katie that loved going to the Center for boarding and exams. The staff was friendly and professional anytime we took her in for a visit. Katie developed a limp in her right, front leg and it was quickly diagnosed that she had bone cancer. Our veterinarian discussed our options for treating Katie; and because of the aggressive nature of her cancer, we decided to have her leg amputated. I was impressed with the care that Katie received before and during this major surgery. Everything was explained to us as owners and I believe Katie was given excellent medical care. There was a compassion shown to my husband and I that I consider exceptional. I believe the staff at Belmont went to great lengths to help us through the difficult months leading up to and after the loss of this wonderful animal and extended sympathy and comfort to us. We were very grateful for their services.We have adopted another German Shepherd mix named Maggie and she is greeted with the same warm, friendly manner as Katie was. The staff is wonderful and we appreciate the quick and professional way they answer any questions we may have. They have demonstrated on numerous occasions that this is not just a job to them - they actually care about the owners and pets that go there for medical care.

I would highly recommend Belmont Vet if you want high quality care for your animal. I have been using Belmont Vet Center for the past 6 year and would go not take Sebastian anywhere else. Sebastian (pug/rat terrier) has had some unfortunate belly problems and has required ongoing care. Dr. Peggy Martinez has gone above and beyond to ensure that Sebastian has the most up to date care consulting with K-State about new drugs or procedures that can help him. Sebastian almost died 3 years ago and was in the hospital for 5 days and with their love and care he was nursed back to health. Every time I call with an emergency they get him in within a few hours. The techs are very gentle with Sebastian and always ensure that all my questions were answered. Sebastian has met with the other vets in the office and they too have been focused on his care, never rushing us out of the office even when the waiting room is full. Everyone at Belmont Vet Center (including the office manager) greet Sebastian and I every time we come in. They have even placed special orders for Sebastian’s prescription food and treats. I would trust no one else with the care of my baby.

The veterinarian services and front desk are superb. The grooming and vet management is awful.
My dog was cut so badly after his grooming here that I had to return him to be on antibiotics because the cuts were infected behind his legs. Twice he was sent home from daycare the week after grooming because his pads were too sore from being shaved too low. He would roll over and lick area for hours for a week after the grooming in discomfort. I have asked twice to be reimbursed for the grooming and they were only willing to give me 50%, even though I’ve had to go back to the vet twice to have him cared for from the grooming. To avoid making this right, they just sent me an email to remove me altogether from services from their clinic.

We recently had to make one of the hardest decisions. Our almost 16 year old Stafford, Dezi, had her age finally catch up with her. We have two daughters that have never lived without her. My wife and I are in our 40's and brought Dezi home in our 20's. She was one of my children. Belmont Veterinary was kind enough to come to our home to end Dezi's pain. She died in my arms in her own environment. A few days later, we received a poem in the mail from Belmont which included my dogs paw print. I cried but it was from happiness. Had a pretty good experience with this vet office. Dropped my dog off in the morning and picked him up in the evening for a haircut and routine shots. Staff seemed nice. I wasn't wanting to pay quite as much for everything, but it was in the range of everyone else in town. Big + was that they were able to get me scheduled within the week I wanted, where most other places were wanting like 3 weeks+ for an appt.

I have been going to Belmont for many years, but the last week reminded me exactly why... Nowadays its harder to find a vet that is more concerned with pets than money, NOT BELMONT! I had one dog get injured and a few days later my other got into medication and ate a large amount! Right now I am struggling with my own health issues, so I was terrified I wouldn't be able to help my babies... The angels at Belmont jumped right on it! Both times I was told to just get the dog in and we will figure it out later! They were very good at explaining everything, and doing EVERYTHING needed for my girls while keeping the cost as low as possible! If you want a vet that truly cares, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND BELMONT! So very very disappointed with Belmont. We have had you as our vet center since about 1995 and through at least eight pets two of which spent their last moments of life in your facility. My daughters boarded their puppy for the holiday weekend and when they picked her up she was soaked in urine as was her blanket. BOTH daughters called and spoke with office staff who clearly do not care about the concerns relayed to them. My daughters will be finding a new vet. They were told that since the trust has already been broken there is nothing Belmont can do to fix it. That is actually not true. An apology would have been a good start. If you can't adequately care for 50 animals then please don't agree to do so. I have always spoken highly of Belmont and the doctors. I guess things have changed. :-(

Dr. Novak took great care of him and the tech Amy kept in contact with me many times during his stay and was even friendly and understanding when I called numerous times a day to check on him being a worried mom. I even want to thank the front and office staff for being so friendly and understanding.

My handsome boy El Negro Del Gato was very ill, I was very afraid I was gonna lose him and have to have a very heartbreaking talk with my daughter, she was noticing he wasn't himself already and that talk was hard enough alone! luckily bringing him in when I did has brought our boy back!! Still has few more days on his antibiotic, but he's back to his snuggle bug self, maybe even alittle more clingy now then before but it is truly just a wonderful feeling having him here still! So long story short I just really wanna thank the ladies who helped him feel better, we can't begin to truly thank you enough!

We took our happy, healthy Goldendoodle in on a Thursday to have a sebaceous cyst removed from her tail- no big deal we were told. After removal, we were told to bring her back for a re-check on Saturday morning. On Saturday, we are told the tail is cold - no blood flow and if this doesn't improve by Tuesday, they will have to do a partial tail amputation! Back on Tuesday, and we pick her up Wednesday night and her beautiful full length tail is now a 3 inch stump! She is anxious, withdrawn and keeps running in circles looking for a tail that no longer exists. Would not recommend this clinic to anyone!

We have had 2 dogs and a cat all visit the wonderful Doctors at Belmont in the past 9 years. We just returned from a family vacation and we had our dog, Charlie, stay at Belmont while we were away. He was able to get a check-up, his vaccines and a bath all while we were out of town. When we picked him up, he was healthy and happy, and smelled better too!! We would recommend Belmont for all of your veterinary needs!

I moved here three years ago with a senior dog. One of my biggest fears when looking for a vet was that they would want to try every expensive treatment without considering he was already at the tail end of his life. Dr. Haug was not like that at all. We had to make the decision to help Danny cross the Rainbow Bridge. When we arrived a bit early for the appointment, they already had the room ready for us. They were very considerate and asked if we were ready. Dr. Haug explained what we would witness, and gave us time after he had passed to be with Danny. He even asked if we wanted to take a piece of fur. Today I received two copies of the Rainbow Bridge poem with Danny's paw print. When we are ready to open our home to another dog, we will definitely go back to Belmont.

I would highly recommend the Belmont Veterinary Center for the care of your beloved pet. We had a beautiful German Shepherd mix named Katie that loved going to the Center for boarding and exams. The staff was friendly and professional anytime we took her in for a visit. Katie developed a limp in her right, front leg and it was quickly diagnosed that she had bone cancer. Our veterinarian discussed our options for treating Katie; and because of the aggressive nature of her cancer, we decided to have her leg amputated. I was impressed with the care that Katie received before and during this major surgery. Everything was explained to us as owners and I believe Katie was given excellent medical care. There was a compassion shown to my husband and I that I consider exceptional. I believe the staff at Belmont went to great lengths to help us through the difficult months leading up to and after the loss of this wonderful animal and extended sympathy and comfort to us. We were very grateful for their services.We have adopted another German Shepherd mix named Maggie and she is greeted with the same warm, friendly manner as Katie was. The staff is wonderful and we appreciate the quick and professional way they answer any questions we may have. They have demonstrated on numerous occasions that this is not just a job to them - they actually care about the owners and pets that go there for medical care.

I would highly recommend Belmont Vet if you want high quality care for your animal. I have been using Belmont Vet Center for the past 6 year and would go not take Sebastian anywhere else. Sebastian (pug/rat terrier) has had some unfortunate belly problems and has required ongoing care. Dr. Peggy Martinez has gone above and beyond to ensure that Sebastian has the most up to date care consulting with K-State about new drugs or procedures that can help him. Sebastian almost died 3 years ago and was in the hospital for 5 days and with their love and care he was nursed back to health. Every time I call with an emergency they get him in within a few hours. The techs are very gentle with Sebastian and always ensure that all my questions were answered. Sebastian has met with the other vets in the office and they too have been focused on his care, never rushing us out of the office even when the waiting room is full. Everyone at Belmont Vet Center (including the office manager) greet Sebastian and I every time we come in. They have even placed special orders for Sebastian’s prescription food and treats. I would trust no one else with the care of my baby.
