Please for your fur baby’s sake and yours DO NOT bring your animals here…I brought my 4lb chihuahua in on 08/01/22 for a simple gland express and that was it… they had me waiting in the waiting area for 2 hours before they got enough gull to come up to me and tell me that my dog got “excited” and jumped off of the table while they were getting her weight and hit her head and now has major swelling…. No remorse no compassion not even an apology from Dr WElTY…. He Didn’t tell us whether or not she had a seizure after her fall we had to ask that question and find out after the fact and the more questions we asked the more aggravation the doctor showed like this was our fault….. I brought my dog for a simple procedure and they gave me back my dog with a traumatic brain injury now we’re stuck Incurring all these costs because of this vets malpractice!! My dog will never be the same if she survives this.. P.S. written by a grown man with tears in his eyes that loves animals more than life itself!! :’( #update my little sweet 7year old chihuahua coco passed away 08/02 due to the negligence of Dr Welty, he caused a severe brain Injury on my dog so bad that her little brain hemorrhaged and she died 1 day later!!! Dr welty said word for word “95% chance she’ll make it and 5% she won’t” he’s a liar please don’t take your animals here….

We have gone to Capitol Animal Clinic for quite a few years. We previously tried a couple other vets but we were never treated as kindly as Dr. Welty and his staff have treated us. They truly have a love for your "furkids"...even ones that might need to wear a "party hat" (muzzle) because they get nippy. Everything is very well explained to you and they treat your furkids as if it was one of their own. I highly recommend Capitol Animal Clinic to anyone needing/looking for a vet. I know I will never change!!

The team at Capitol Animal Clinic do a good job of taking care of Zoe. Every time I have needed to travel, I always get her back where she is happy and healthy.The staff is always very pleasant at the clinic. Capitol Animal Clinic has provided care to our pets for many years. We have always felt good to have their help. Two weeks ago our dog Sam passed away. Yesterday we received a very nice note and a gift of flower seeds to plant at the grave site. Words can't say how much their thoughts and act of kindness means to us. It really shows how caring these folks are.

Took very good care of our cats. Gave them their vaccines, clipped their nails, and determined the cause of an ongoing issue that had alluded other vets.

Left our dog there over the 4th of July holiday due to our normal Vet kenneling being full and out of the way for our trip. Learned my lesson. Always make reservations early and what's 45 minutes out...
Left our dog there over the 4th of July holiday due to our normal Vet kenneling being full and out of the way for our trip. Learned my lesson. Always make reservations early and what's 45 minutes out of the way? Not much if you trust their service. We dropped our dog off on Friday night with enough of her medication to last until Tuesday night. Upon picking her up she had more food left over than she should have which maybe she didn't eat as much since she was kenneled and not home BUT she had 7 phenobarbitol pills left and we sent exactly enough to get her to Tuesday night. This means since she takes 2 pills twice a day they missed 3 1/2 doses. Soooo you're saying it was a holiday and that's understandable... NO it's not. They charged me $21 extra for holiday boarding due to additional staffing. Now my dog is behind on her meds an inevitably will be subject to seizures before she gets back to her normal levels. Ohhhh and they charged me $9.75 for a clerical fee because it was her first time boarding. Really? They handed me the forms when I dropped her off and I completed the clerical work.Do not board here!!

We have a miniature dachshund and have taken him there since he was a tiny puppy. We have always been impressed with the knowledge and high level of customer service whenever we have an appointment. They always call to check on our puppy after visits and we feel like they genuinely love animals. Prices are very reasonable. All-around great place to take your pets!

This vet office is great! They are super nice, helpful and knowledgeable. I travel throughout the U.S. and this is the cheapest I have ever had to spend on a vet visit with vaccinations! They are efficient and they get you in and out. Please don't hesitate to bring your furry family members here you won't be disappointed.

The wait to see a vet has been unusually long the last two times I've been here but that's probably due to the fact I had no appointment for either day. I just called and asked if they could see my dog and both times they were able to see her that day.
Doctor Welty, who saw my dog, has always been honest, straightforward, and best of all knowledgable without being overwhelming. He really gives off this vibe of genuine care that reminds me why I like bringing my dog to him in the first place. I would highly recommend anyone bring their pet here just be considerate of the fact you may have to wait a bit before being seen if you call in without a previously scheduled appointment and ask to be seen that same day.

Since our move to Lincoln we have gotten three cats. We would take them to the vet in our home town and was outraged when they treated our second cat horribly and didnt care for her even when she got an infection.
Since then we have taken them to Capitol Animal Clinic where the three cats are treated very well and cared for. They have done the declaw for our third kitten and went above and beyond what we were expecting.
We also learned that one of our cats had to have almost all of her teeth pulled (a disease). We were expecting it to cost a fortune and be dramatic for her. On the contrary it was very inexpensive, nearly painless for her, and she is MUCH happier.
If you are new to Lincoln, I strongly recommend this vet for your animals needs. The vets are professional, kind and really seems to love animals.

I live just around the corner from this place, so it's really convenient for me. For the most part, they're flexible and will work with you find a time that will fit both of your schedules. The staff I've had good experience with, and the vet is smart and really knows what he's doing. I've taken my cat there for all of his check ups and vaccinations. When he first got declawed and fixed the nurse told me she would be sad to see him go, she had been petting him to make him feel better all morning. Made me smile to know he was being well taken care of. There was one time where we had an appointment and had to sit around to wait for the vet to be available. But because of the inconvenience they took off a portion of our bill. Pretty solid place, I plan to go back.

I really like this place. The vets are a bit nerdy, but everyone is really friendly. The boarding price is excellent once you've gone there before and are current on shots. There hours make it really easy to get in for an appt. It is a bit pricey compared to other places.

We have gone to Capitol Animal Clinic for quite a few years. We previously tried a couple other vets but we were never treated as kindly as Dr. Welty and his staff have treated us. Since our move to Lincoln we have gotten three cats. We would take them to the vet in our home town and was outraged when they treated our second cat horribly and didnt care for her even when she got an infection.
Since then we have taken them to Capitol Animal Clinic where the three cats are treated very well and cared for. They have done the declaw for our third kitten and went above and beyond what we were expecting.

I really like this place. The vets are a bit nerdy, but everyone is really friendly. The boarding price is excellent once you've gone there before and are current on shots. There hours make it really easy to get in for an appt. It is a bit pricey compared to other places.
