After 6 years of being with Companion Care, we think of them all like family. With 5 dogs and a cat we seem to always need Dr Oxley for one thing or another. He is always there when we need him the most, business hours or otherwise. He truly cares about animals. When he put my wife’s oldest beagle down He hugged her and cried with her. They spayed my cats. They're cheaply priced but you're getting a cheap service too. They were rough with my cats and then just shooed me away without saying a word. But they did a decent spaying on my girls. Wouldn't go back. Read Less

Best Vet Ever!!! I would never even consider going to another vet. Dr Oxley is truly an amazing person and vet. He has a true Passion for what he does and you never feel like you are rushed during your visit. He saved my dogs life and I could never thank him enough. I took my dog to the emergency vet clinic and they said nothing was wrong and then went to Dr. Oxley the next day and within minutes he could tell exactly what was wrong. Dr. Oxley is wonderful. The office is clean and they are efficient with quick visits. Compared to other vets in the area, Dr. Oxley is much less expensive, but provides above average service. The woman (believe she was a vet tech) who was there at the time of our dogs appointment was completely out of line and rude to my husband. She was very nosey and insinuated that we did not know how to care for our pet because his brand new harness was to tight. My husband felt uncomftorable after that and disrespected after a few other words were said by her. We took our cats there for their first check-up and rabies shots.  Dr. Oxley was great with our cats.  He genuinely tried to build a relationship with them and was happy to answer all our questions.  He wasn't in a rush to get to the next patient like some vets are.  Also, we were able to get an appointment within a couple of days which was important because our cats needed their rabies shots asap.  I would highly recommend Dr. Oxley and Companion Care to any pet owner! Dr Oxley is amazing! My boxer is a rescue and is very, very timid. She hides from everyone behind my legs. Dr. Oxley walks into the room, gets down on the floor with her, and won her over. She loves going to see him. She hears his voice on the other side of the door and her nub starts wagging. Let me start by saying that I absolutely love Dr Oxley! I had a situation with my dog a week ago Monday, I called in to the receptionist and told her what was going on with my dog and asked if I should bring her in or not. I was told that she would talk to Dr Oxley and call me back, a week and a half later I am still waiting for a call back. Dr. Oxley is amazing. Our dog had to have surgery so we called him (even though he wasn't working on the case because he doesn't do this surgery) to get his opinion on what our next steps should be and he followed up with us regularly to give advice and see how he was doing. He's also very lovey with your animals, he comes in the room and plays with them and let's them kiss him. He's so great at making your pet the patient and making them feel comfortable. Another thing I really like is that if your pet needs a shot or something, he does it in the room right in front of you, he doesn't hide anything! YOU CANNOT COUNT ON THIS VET DURING EMERGENCIES!!! We will not be going back to this clinic. We had used them for about 5 years. Their website at the end of December 2015, said to call or stop in during business hours for pet emergencies. When our dog was having seizures, I took her Companion Care during business hours and was turned away rather unkindly by the receptionist. Confused, I called and asked to speak to Dr. Oxley personally. He called back and said that the website was wrong, that he was too busy to see our dog and to take her to the emergency vet. A short time later he called back and said if I could have her there in 15 minutes he could see her that day. I took her right over. He stayed after hours to see her, and ran over one hundred dollars in blood tests. I expressed my sincerest gratitude for fitting her in. The tests came back that she was dying, and he said there was nothing he could do. Our dog died two weeks later. So now in mid-March Dr. Oxley calls to see how our dog is doing. When I told him we had to put her down 2 1/2 months prior because she was in so much pain, he said, "Well that's too bad. Hey, can you do me a favor and not call me or stop in during emergencies? It just makes things go smoother in scheduling, I'd appreciate it". Aside from the fact that HE called ME and told me to bring her in, I was completely taken aback by the insensitivity of his comments. We will be finding a new vet. Read Less

There have been so many times that Dr. Oxley could have done procedures that were unnecessary; however, every time, he has been so honest and truly done what is in the best interest of our pets. My dog was scheduled for a surgery that a different vet had recommended (a very expensive one at that) and already in the care of Companion Care. Dr. Oxley called me and told me that he didn't think the surgery was necessary and that it would cause a lot of pain to my dog. Instead of just performing the surgery, he asked me my thoughts after consulting with him and we cancelled it. My bill for my pet literally cost me 1/8 of what the surgery would have cost. He truly loves animals and cares about his job and the best interested of the animals more than anything else. I would recommend Dr. Oxley to anyone and everyone! Best EVER Vet!!  Like none other! Dr. Oxley is compassionate, caring and thorough.  Good ole Doc really does get down on the dog's level. Neither of my dogs were ever fearful in his care. Great staff. Initially I was put off by all of the signage at the front desk regarding policies, but after I got to know the staff --it was all good. Prices are reasonable, treatment is excellent and if you take your pet anywhere else, you're missing a really quality experience!  My dogs are both in doggy heaven now, but feel so happy that I am trusted their lives to Dr Oxley and crew. Dr. Oxley has been our Veterinarian for the last 3 years...I would not ever consider going anywhere else. My first interaction with Dr. Oxley was based on an emergency visit for one of our dogs, it was the BEST experience I have ever had with a Veterinarian. I have a rescue dog from a puppy mill and he is very timid. Dr Oxley took the time to make my dog comfortable around him and made sure I understood his directions on giving the medications and food he prescribed. He made sure all my questions were answered and that I felt good about the visit.
