My dogs have been going to Parkview for several years. Dr. Ehler does an exceptional job with the animals and explaining any medical conditions. The staff is great also. I would give 5 stars to Dr. Ehlers, she has always been thorough in her evaluations of my furbabies and always ensures that I understand exactly what is being recommended and why. That being said, the male vet who has terrible bedside manners gets 1 star. My cat has a heart murmur and without giving me any kind of consultation he kind of just slipped in that he wasn't going to give her a vaccine for leukemia because she wasn't going to progress much further in her life (I believe was his reasoning as he didn't elaborate much). I would have asked why except that he put a kind of bomb on me when he said that my cat is going to die soon and that he was surprised she had made it this far. My issue is this.... she's alive now, 6 months old and enjoying her life with her 4 on a scale of 6 heart murmur. Give me my options and your professional opinion rather then make the decisions for me. I'll be going back when Dr. Ehlers is there-she is amazing. Read Less

Some of the staff are unfriendly and unhelpful. One of the doctors is very rough with the animals. He has terrible bedside manner and calls all of the animals "she" even if you correct him. This was particularly problematic while he put down our *male* dog of 17 years. The other doc is a bit careless. We lost a pet due to her negligence. They are reasonably priced but the service is subpar. Read Less

I've alway had great experiences with the female vet. The guy is just not very gentle. I had brought my cat that I just adopted from the shelter and he wasn't even being gentle with her nice to her knowing how scared she had to of been just coming from a shelter.Read Less

Went to Parkview for the first time on Dec 8, 2016. EXCELLENT experience! Dr Ehlers & her staff were friendly, kind with my cat Sully, and let me go back to the exam room. Dr Ehlers was knowledgeable and had great bedside manners with Sully. Definitely recommend Parkview and will definitely go back. Overall, a nice place to take your furry family. This was very close to my house, and no appointments are necessary if you are just completing routine exam/shots. They were open on Saturday morning, so that was convenient. The wait was a bit long---probably close to 45 minutes to an hour before my cats were seen; however I think that is to be expected given that it was Saturday morning and walk-ins are welcome. Front desk receptionists were friendly and able to check everyone in in the order that they came in, despite there being two different sides of guests to monitor. The room we were taken to was clean and nice. The dr. was able to answer all of my questions and treated my cats with a caring demeanor, also ensuring that an assistant was brought in to help hold my one cat when he was getting very angry over the thermometer check. Prices were as what they had been quoted to me when I called beforehand. There is a $25 new patient fee per pet. I would come back, I did hear that they are moving soon to a bigger location by Yankee Hill. Read Less

Brought my first puppy to this vet for his second round of shots. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They handled him gently and gave him a treat when he started crying after his shots! For his 2 puppy vaccinations and a round of earmite treatments I paid only $92, which I felt was very reasonable. Will definitely continue to take my dog here. Read Less

Our dog has worms and they are doing their best to treat him and his paw was bleeding and they put a cast on it and told us that he was going to be okay Our puppy died and they tried to save his life to the fullest and they were very supportive Read Less

What a nightmare. We took our cat in with a very sizable, gaping, open wound on his abdomen; an emergency situation. The vet who's name I don't know (because he didn't even introduce himself) immediately grabbed the kitty, manhandled him and stressed him further. This guy was not at all gentle, friendly or pleasant with me or my pet. The facilities are unpleasant and cluttered and just in case you had any doubts about this vet's track record - right up front, there is a lovely display of urns for sale in which to take home your pet's cremains. I didn't stick around to allow the exam to continue. My cat and I walked out and sought care elsewhere. Worst vet care facility, worst customer service, worst vet experience in an emergency situation I've ever experienced.Read Less

I have been taking my dogs to Dr. Rick Sitzman and Dr. Kim Ehlers for many years. They are caring professionals and love each one of their patients. I would recommend Parkview Animal Hospital to any and all pet owners. My first puppy was diagnosed with lymphoma by a quack vet here in town. I took him to Dr. Sitzman who made a proper diagnosis of a bacterial infection, gave me some antibiotics and within a couple days my pup was feeling fine. On another occasion, when Dr, Ehlers was fresh out of Vet School, I took the same dog in for a rabies vaccination. He had a severe allergic reaction and it was only Dr. Ehler's quick thinking that saved his life. Those are just two of the many times over the years they have gone the extra mile for me and my four-legged children. You can tell a good vet's office by the number of animals who are always there to greet you! I will not take my dogs anywhere else! Read Less
