We had a horrible experience at this clinic. The staff behind the desk were extremely rude and careless. Neither of the two women who we interacted with seem to understand the concept of customer service. The elder lady rolled her eyes and acted completely put off during our conversation, and the younger one was disinterested and un-attentive. We definitely will not be coming back. Read Less

If I could give negative stars I would. First off I brought my deceased dog in to be cremated was charged an amount at drop off. When I was told she was ready, I came in and was told I was undercharged and had to pay more. They told me the paw print was burned and they would make it right and special for me and call when it was done. Almost a month later I received it. The print was made up of someones fingerprints. The 3rd vet I have been to in Lincoln this year and I'll definitely be returning! Dr. Otto was very professional and courteous. Took great care of my cats, showed interest in their well being and didn't treat us like we were just another paying customer. The staff were great as well, very thorough, explained everything in detail and didn't leave me with any questions. After moving to Lincoln and going through a few clinics that were okay, we had a friend recommend Superior Veterinarian Care to us. We are so glad they did. This clinic is one of the absolute best with friendly staff and knowledgeable veterinarians that genuinely care for all our furry family members. We have 1 cat and 1 dog in our family and the clinic has treated both like family. Their hours are great, they are extremely flexible if you need to get in on short notice, are very approachable with general questions (many a time we had called in with a concern to see if we needed to bring in our pets for something and they would offer complimentary advice and many times would give us honest answers), and very fair pet plans. There is no doubt in my mind when we take our pets there that they are in great hands. Read Less

Boarding: I have used their animal boarding this past year. It was affordable and from my experience they did a great job at making my pets feels better about being away from home and didn't mind me calling to check in, which I did a lot. :) Grooming: I absolutely love their groomer! She does an amazing job on my animals. She really takes the time to go at the pace that is best for them to make it less stressful on them. I have used other groomers in the past but none as amazing or as caring as her. Vet care: I don't have much experience with their veterinary care however a few years ago I had to bring my dog in for an eye problem. They never seen us before but my regular vet at the time was closed so we came here. They really seemed to listen to me and wrote down my dog's history which most vets don't even seem to look at twice. I was highly impressed and felt my dog was getting great care. I really feel that all the staff I have interacted with here have a deep caring for my animals and I have recommended others bring their pets here as well for that reason. Though I wish they were closer to my house the care my pets get here while borading and getting groomed is well worth the drive. Read Less

My dog has diabetes and with the ice storm that just came through the office was closed but dr Otto still had calls being forwarded to his cell phone...I didn't have even one dose of insulin left when I called in a panic! Dr Otto phones the closest employee and had him meet me at the office to purchase insulin even though they were closed due to the storm! Had he not done that my puppy would've gotten deathly sick. Just moved to Lincoln in September 2016. Chose Superior Veterinary Clinic originally because of their location to our home. Took our older dog to them because he went lame and couldn't get up. They treated him with steroids because of the severity of his condition. He hardest improving within a few hours. We are so thankful for their diagnosis and now he moves around with no more lameness. We have since taken our other two dogs to them for their health checkups and the whole is so professional and kind. I would highly recommend this group to everyone. The only bad experience was that the groomer only does nail trimming and does not offer nail filing after the trimming. We have since then found a groomer that trims and files their nails for only $10 and you don't need to make an important. Other than that, this place is beyond great. Read Less

I was really disappointed today. I called around 4:30 to refill Tank's thyroid medicine and was told it would be okay to get it, give them a couple hours and they close at 8. This is a pretty common response and that was perfectly fine. However, I showed up at 7:10 and the doors were locked. I could see people inside so I called from my car and the long curly haired blonde woman cut me off when I said that I was there and rudely said that you had closed early. It wasn't mentioned on the phone at 4:30 that the office was closing early. I tried explaining to her that Tank would not have medicine tomorrow and she responded with "well front girl already has her drawer counted for the night". When I tried explaining that I could pay with a card, she rudely said "let me go ask if you can have it" well I certainly hope that I can have it! I just told you my dog wouldn't have medicine tomorrow. I finally got to go inside and come to find out, it hadn't even gotten filled yet. Thankfully the girl who wears the zip up cat jacket saved the night and prevented me from letting the blonde haired woman know how I felt about the situation.Read Less

I used to come here for my kitty's check-ups with Dr. Otto before he moved, and we liked him very much. More recently, I took my kitty here when he was sick. After weeks of appointments and follow ups, it was clear that Dr. French did not know what was wrong with him. In the mean time, he was going through a lot of pain, and I was afraid I was going to have to put him down. On top of that, when I boarded him there for treatment over night he came back with a bad limp, irrelevant to his condition. They were also bad at returning my calls; it took them almost three days to get back to me with his test results when I was promised one day. When your pet is gravely sick that time matters. After several appointments, Dr. French was surprised when I mentioned his constipation- which was the main reason I took him to the vet in the first place. I had told the receptionist this when I made the appt., I told the vet tech this, and I told her this. Many times. Totally frustrated, I took him to another vet and they diagnosed him correctly on his first visit (megacolon), and it turns out the only treatment he actually needed was a new food. I spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars here while my kitty's condition just deteriorated because of their ineptitude.Read Less

I used to love this place, been going there for several years. Recently my dog got and ear infection and we had to come back for weekly treatments and never saw the same dr. So they could never tell if it was getting better. Just ended up spending a lot of money for same thing over and over again. I ended up moving my dog to a different vet and spending more money but at least we have a treatment plan that is working. Read Less

I take my little Mini Pin, Daisy to Dr. Otto. I can trust him to take excellent care of her and he does. She has went to Dr. Otto since she was 3 months old. I also like the Wellness Plan very much. As first time dog owners, we were excited when we heard positive reviews about Superior Vet Clinic. Unfortunately, those reviews do not accurately depict our satisfaction with the clinic. 40 minutes before they closed we contacted them because our dog was in a emergency state of needing care. She was lethargic, weak, and clearly in a lot of pain. They denied us care, which is somewhat acceptable if they were completely booked. However, the lack of knowledge by the person handling our phone call was very discouraging. We took our dog to the emergency vet clinic where she clearly had an infection and had to stay over night to be treated. We later discovered that she has not been taking flea, tick, or heart worm medication. The infection is likely due to that. We take part responsibility for not doing research and realizing she was old enough to start taking that medication. However, we had just had a check up where the clinic said she was up-to-date and good to go on everything. It is discouraging that the need for this medication was not mentioned to us, like I said we are first time dog owners and follow every step the Vet makes us aware of. When we contacted the clinic to inquire about this, the responses were poorly written, unapologetic, and not helpful. I hope that the clinic improves for the sake of the animals and other first time pet owners who may get treated here.Read Less

We love Superior Vet! Dr. Walton and the staff have just been awesome. Last November we had to make the difficult decision to put our beloved 7-year-old dog to sleep as she had lymphoma. We will never forget the kindness and support we received from everyone at Superior Vet. They were professional, comforting and helpful in so many ways. They treated us like family and even grieved with us. Until you experience this type of loss, you have no idea how horrible it is and having Superior Vet help us through this time will never be forgotten. We now have a new puppy who has had a few emergency trips to the clinic. The last time we had to take her in (she was spitting up blood), we didn't even get out of the car before a staff member was meeting us and whisking us into a room to see the vet. The female vet is rude and talks to you like you are an idiot. She also suggested putting my dog on a gluten free diet. My regular vet who I trust said this suggestion was bonkers. The receptionist was super nice, felt bad for him because I could tell that the female vet didn't treat him very nicely either. Read Less

I've brought my dog here several times for checkups and grooming.  This review is mainly for their veterinary care.  Every time I walk in, the technicians are sweet and seem to really care about my pup.  On one occasion, I brought my dog in for a deep teeth cleaning and she had to be put under anesthesia.  I was nervous about the process and everyone was very nice and answered all of my questions.  I've been nothing but impressed with Superior Vet's professionalism and quality of service.
