Dr. Wachal is amazing! I really appreciate that he understands our concerns and truly cares about our pets. He ensures that we follow up to make sure that the treatment he recommended is working in case we need to adjust our course. To start, Dr. Wachal treated me very professionally. I was a little rude to him off the bat during my dogs exam, but he took my attitude very well and it put me at ease. It really seems like he cares for animals and that he isn't just out for the money (I know that's cliche of me to state.) I took my dog to the Wachal clinic for the first time today. I didn't have a vet in Lincoln for her yet and I needed an appointment right away and they got her in on a Saturday in a very short amount of time. When we arrived, we were greeted warmly and the front desk person knew who we were and they were ready for us. The paperwork process was simple. The vet came in and was completely thorough in the examination process and was very good at calming the dog (and me) down. She explained a ton about what was going on and had some sagely advice and a solid plan for what we could do for my little poodle. I was really impressed with this organization. Everyone we met was extremely friendly, the prices are reasonable, and the treatment was thorough and professional. I will definitely be taking my dog back when it is time for her regular checkup. Dr. Jordan, Dr. Wachal and all of the staff are the best i the business. They treat all of my dogs like my oiwn. They have grieved with me when it was the end of life for a few of my faithful four-legged friends and arranged creamation for me. Both Drs. Jordan and Wachal are wonderful! I've taken my rabbits to the Wachal Pet Health Center for a few years and have never had a bad experience. Dr. Jordan always gives our pug a kiss when she sees him! Dr. Wachal is a great vet too! Vinnie is not as scared with this vet, like he used to be at Belmont. He loves both doctors here. I rescued a kitten from the Humane Society in Lincoln. After paying all of the fees, I took the kitten home to my three year old female cat. The kitten gave my older cat a respiratory infection shortly thereafter. Her eyes were matted shut from the infection, her nose was clogged and she couldn't breathe. I took her to Dr. Wachal where she was treated. I was charged $197.00. Within a few days, my cat was just as bad with the infection as she was when I took her to the doctor, she would not eat and she would not drink. I was afraid that she may die and called for another appointment. I was told that Dr. Wachal was " swamped," and I was told to make an appointment with the Pitts Veterinary Hospital, which I did. I am highly disappointed, to say the least. You would think that since, after paying Dr. Wachal to cure my cat, which wasn't accomplished, he could've found a way to squeeze me in. Now I am forced to go to yet another vet and pay more money. Dr. Wachal got his money then stopped caring. I am furious and would not recommend taking your sick animal to this uncaring human being. We LOVE Wachal! Today at Petco we had Dr. Jordan who was amazing. She greeted our puppy, comforted her, and spoiled her with treats. I was recommended to them by my coworkers for just shots since their prices are so fair, but I like Dr. Jordan so much I want to have her as our permanent vet. Our dog, Yuna, really loved her. Doctor Jordan is amazing and I'll never take my pets anywhere else. I had a rat who needed a tumor removal and spay, and although Dr. Jordan had never done surgery on a rat before, she was very interested in helping me out. I could tell that she did lots of research prior to the surgery so that she was confident in doing the procedure for us. Everything went perfectly (even though rats are very suceptible to anesthesia problems) and my rat was so happy around her. They spoiled her rotten while she was there! I'm certain that the procedure is the reason my rat got to live another whole year. We see Dr. Jordan at Wachal. She is super great and treats my dogs just like my little fluffy babies. We recently adopted a rescue dog and brought him in for shots. He was SUPER nervous and losing hair from stressing out. Dr. Jordan got down on the floor with him and let him check her out. By the end of our visit, he was happy happy. She also recommended some teeth treats that work really well and his plaque has broken off.Our other dog loves going to the vet. When she comes in, he rolls right over onto his back for tummy rubs. She actually gets down with him and does whatever she needs to do while he is down there instead of picking him up onto the counter.So, in addition to our fantastic vet, are the prices. They have the least expensive shots in Lincoln, I shopped around. If you have your dog there all day while you are at work and they are getting groomed or any other service, they don't charge for if. Took my kitties (newly adopted at the time) in to Wachal. *Asked if there was a new customer discount [we were getting a LOT done] and they said there wasn't. There was, we just didn't get it. *Wanted the vet to look at one of the cat's ears b/c we didn't think it was mites but the vet insisted that it must be mites and that both cats must have them. Neither cat had mites--and the one cat had an ear infection which ruptured his eardrum [the next vet we called knew what was wrong just from our phone description and we got an appointment with them that afternoon!]. *They told us that our cat was developing a cataract and needed medication and treatment and this and that. She had a piece of fur in her eye. They can't tell the difference between fur and a cataract?!? *The vet was constantly trying to get us to declaw our cats (not kittens, quite past the age for "comfortable" [is there such an age for that?] declawing), constantly trying to sell us treatments and meds our cats didn't need and might even be bad for them. This place constantly felt like a used car dealership. Moral: I guess if you're located in a rich neighborhood and you want a place which is convenient and priced to make you feel like you're buying good service without actually doing so, where your pets are stats symbols to treat them as such, go here. If you really care about your animals' health and well-being, find somewhere else! Read Less
