Animal Center West Omaha

Omaha, Nebraska
General Info
Animal Center West Omaha is a reliable and caring resource for families all across Omaha. Animal Center West Omaha in Omaha advises Nebraska families to make veterinary checkups a regular part of both young and senior pets’ lives rather than an occasional thing. The visit starts with a discussion to collect information about the observed changes in behavior, appetite, bathroom habits, sleep patterns and environment. A physical examination looks at how the joints move, as well as heart and lung sounds, eyes look alert or not, and the skin and mouth look healthy. Baseline notes and records from previous visits are used as a comparison tool to look for early subtle changes. Animal Center West Omaha offers services such as wellness exams, parasite screenings, fecal testing, vaccinations, dental exams, and mobility evaluations. Additionally, they provide weight management consultations and determine treatments for skin or gastrointestinal problems. Care practices adapt to age, breed traits, and household dynamics. More frequent orthopedic evaluations will be necessary for an active dog, whereas an older and mostly indoor pet will need chronic care schedules to address thyroid and renal health issues. After the visit, owners access structured records and receive follow-up reminders. Digital access encompasses visit history, prescription tracking, milestone logs, and planning tools. Households that own multiple pets and have a limited schedule can also request combined appointments, teleconsultations and alternating recheck schedules. Because of this, pet owners often adjust the pace of how they care for their aging animals at home. Animal Center West Omaha empowers Omaha families to make care a routine through consistent touchpoints and strategic planning. That reliability has measurable effects in many Nebraskan homes. Some of the popular services offered at the animal hospital include orthopedic surgery, emergency care, pet euthanasia, ultrasound, hospice and palliative care, homeopathy, wellness exams, livestock/farm animals care, prescription medications and vaccinations. The hospital delivers these services in a professional and personalized manner. The Center ensures that pet owners feel confident in their services through open communication and the highest integrity standards, regardless of the wellness plan and nutritional program. The team is continuously growing and improving, which means pets in Omaha and across the United States have access to the best services.

Our previous vet, Elkhorn Animal Hospital, was entirely sales and fee driven and refused to even offer opinions or advice that didn't come from the results of expensive testing.
