Thorough and gentle, the vets here are real animal lovers and healers. I know Dr. Nelson and Dr. Kailliff best (along with Dr. Lemon, who is retired but still occasionally consults), and I would gladly take my hounds to any of them. My dogs are valued members of the family, and the vets here seem to think as I do in this regard. They are thorough, proficient and caring, and while not inexpensive, they are also good at finding ways to make their care affordable. They build caring relationships with their patients and with their customers.

We take our English Cocker and Great Dane to see Dr. Andersen for chiro and acupuncture. She is very calm and friendly with the dogs. They really enjoy her adjustments and seeing her! They always leave their appointments more calm and grounded. It’s amazing to see the effects of one session. If they have soft stool or aren’t feeling well they seem to feel better immediately. We raw feed and she is very helpful with advice on keeping the dogs diet balanced. She is very knowledgeable about TCM and gives us very thoughtful tailored nutritional advice. The office staff is great. They aren’t forceful and are great at communicating with and motivating the dogs.

This vet clinic is fantastic! The staff is highly trained and always friendly & willing to help. It's easy to make an appointment and they can usually get you in within a couple of days. They're also open later on Tuesday & Thursday so you have time to bring in pets after work. The facility is neat & clean and I have never had trouble keeping my cat's medicine ordered. My cat loves the vets there too. I highly recommend this clinic!

I am so happy with my visits with Animal Clinic Suburban. I most recently visited with Dr. Nelson for my 11-year-old beagle Daisy. She, and the whole staff, really care about the pets. Dr. Nelson took time to ask about Daisy's history (with a vet who had retired from there) and volunteered that she is going to review the notes to understand what the retired vet has seen. I have been going here since 1997. A few times I went somewhere else (a special needs dog) and I am so happy to be with these folks. I highly recommend them.

I was urged to go to Animal Clinic Suburban. Within two visits and Dr. Kaliff's due diligence we know exactly what is wrong and my dog is now getting treated appropriately. The entire staff is so welcoming and they are genuinely concerned with his health. He was not just another patient that they can get more money from. This has been an emotional few months and I cannot thank Dr. Kaliff and her staff for everything they have done to help my Coach feel better. It means the world to me.

Our little Border Terrier blew her right back CCL a year ago in October. She has surgery at a Vet clinic in Lincoln but never really used the leg after. She mostly hopped on 3 legs. Then this October she blew her left CCL. Our Lincoln Vet and her water therapist recommended Dr Lemon. He operated on the left knee and did exploratory surgery on the right. The right was infected and the line used was broken and frayed, most likely irritating her joint. He removed the line and cleaned the joint plus put her on antibiotic. Less than 2 weeks after surgery and she is walking on both legs! The personnel at the clinic have all been very helpful and I can't say enough about Dr. Lemon.

I have been meaning to write this review for a long time now and never got to it. I would highly recommend Animal Clinic Suburban. Dr. Lemon is fantastic and a miracle worker. My daughter's dog had puppies and one of the puppies somehow broke her elbow. My daughter took Sassy to an after hours clinic and they x-rayed her elbow and said to contact her vet this next day. Long story short, her vet did not get the xrays for a few days. Upon her doctor receiving them, they called and said this was a very serious break and she may have to take the puppy to an out of state specialty hospital. He then told her there was possibly ONE vet in Omaha that could help, and if anyone in the area could it was Dr. Lemon at Animal Clinic Suburban. He was interested in ortho and had skill. She made an appointment there with Dr. Lemon. He was wonderful with the puppy, explained what he could do, what the various outcomes could be, and worked with us with the financial issues. He operated on Sassy and put in several pins in the little,tiny immature bones. Very tedious. She required another surgery to remove the pins down the road. Sassy still favors her leg, but when playing forgets and uses it normally. I cannot say enough about Dr. Lemon's compassion, expertise in specialty ortho work, and willingness to help. A HUGE "Thank You" to Dr. Lemon and his clinical staff. He and his staff are the best, and if we had not been going to our vet forty+ years, or our vet retires, we will be heading to Animal Clinic Suburban and calling Dr. Lemon our new veterinarian. My husband asked them a few days prior what they would charge for a nail trim while he was picking up dog food. He swears the woman in front told him $11.50 per trim. So naturally I nearly had a stroke when they rung us up. The nail trims START at $17 and the $11.50 is a "visit fee." A what?! Just be honest and tell people that a nail trim starts at $27.50. I have no idea what constitutes a visit since they had no exam or anything. Just completely unethical. Will never ever go back and will no longer even buy food here either.

This Animal Clinic is an outstanding Veterinary Clinic! All of the Vets are wonderful! The people who work behind the desk are great people, and all the Vet Techs are fantastic too! We began going to this Clinic when we found out our regular Vet was no longer where we had been going .. And I tracked her down! Melody Kaliff, our Vet, was now working at Suburban! It's great though, because it's a smaller clinic then where we had been going, and there is something wonderful to be said about the atmosphere in a smaller clinic! I highly recommend this clinic and any of the Vets there. Of course, Melody Kaliff holds a special place in our hearts, as she was wonderful with our little Cocker Spaniel! Unfortunately our doggie, Zachary, left for Rainbow Bridge just 7 weeks ago today. As we are deeply saddened by his departure, I would take any dog I own to Suburban! Sucked in by his droopy eyes and lovable personality, we ignored the warning signs (more like dollar signs) when we adopted our cockerspaniel from the Nebraska Humane Society. Trust me when I tell you that the little box Yelp provides for reviews would not allow me to list all of his medical issues. I digress. We were taking our little guy to a different vet who was perfectly OK, except we're those crazy "we'd rather help treat him with diet as much as possible to get him off of the 12 pill a day regimen" kind of people. So after a six month relationship with that vet, we thought we'd try someone who aligned more with our philosophy and had a special interest in helping dogs with all of his issues (dermatology, allergies, UTIs, etc...).We've only been going to Dr. Nelson for a few months now but we LOVE her. She goes above and beyond to help us get our dog to a state of good health. She's researched conditions, established our relationship with an animal dietician (I know, I know), and is on point with followup. When we took our little cutester to the Emergency Animal Clinic at 1:30 a.m. because he ate half a bar of super-dark-premium chocolate, she was calling us by 8:30 a.m. that morning to check in with us after having received the overnight report.Staff is friendly and doesn't cop an attitude EVER, even when we call 15 minutes before closing on a Saturday for a refill on meds and they have to stay a bit late.If you're looking for a vet for your "special" dog (or even your completely healthy and perfect dog), this is the place for you.

Thorough and gentle, the vets here are real animal lovers and healers. I know Dr. Nelson and Dr. Kailliff best (along with Dr. Lemon, who is retired but still occasionally consults), and I would gladly take my hounds to any of them. My dogs are valued members of the family, and the vets here seem to think as I do in this regard. They are thorough, proficient and caring, and while not inexpensive, they are also good at finding ways to make their care affordable. They build caring relationships with their patients and with their customers.

We take our English Cocker and Great Dane to see Dr. Andersen for chiro and acupuncture. She is very calm and friendly with the dogs. They really enjoy her adjustments and seeing her! They always leave their appointments more calm and grounded. It’s amazing to see the effects of one session. If they have soft stool or aren’t feeling well they seem to feel better immediately. We raw feed and she is very helpful with advice on keeping the dogs diet balanced. She is very knowledgeable about TCM and gives us very thoughtful tailored nutritional advice. The office staff is great. They aren’t forceful and are great at communicating with and motivating the dogs.

This vet clinic is fantastic! The staff is highly trained and always friendly & willing to help. It's easy to make an appointment and they can usually get you in within a couple of days. They're also open later on Tuesday & Thursday so you have time to bring in pets after work. The facility is neat & clean and I have never had trouble keeping my cat's medicine ordered. My cat loves the vets there too. I highly recommend this clinic!

I am so happy with my visits with Animal Clinic Suburban. I most recently visited with Dr. Nelson for my 11-year-old beagle Daisy. She, and the whole staff, really care about the pets. Dr. Nelson took time to ask about Daisy's history (with a vet who had retired from there) and volunteered that she is going to review the notes to understand what the retired vet has seen. I have been going here since 1997. A few times I went somewhere else (a special needs dog) and I am so happy to be with these folks. I highly recommend them.

Save your pet and money and go somewhere else.

I had taken my golden retriever, Coach, to a previous vet place to get his leg treated. He had a limp. Over 10 visits and $3500 later, still had no diagnosis. I was urged to go to Animal Clinic Suburban. Within two visits and Dr. Kaliff's due diligence we know exactly what is wrong and my dog is now getting treated appropriately. The entire staff is so welcoming and they are genuinely concerned with his health. He was not just another patient that they can get more money from. This has been an emotional few months and I cannot thank Dr. Kaliff and her staff for everything they have done to help my Coach feel better. It means the world to me.

Our little Border Terrier blew her right back CCL a year ago in October. She has surgery at a Vet clinic in Lincoln but never really used the leg after. She mostly hopped on 3 legs. Then this October she blew her left CCL. Our Lincoln Vet and her water therapist recommended Dr Lemon. He operated on the left knee and did exploratory surgery on the right. The right was infected and the line used was broken and frayed, most likely irritating her joint. He removed the line and cleaned the joint plus put her on antibiotic. Less than 2 weeks after surgery and she is walking on both legs! The personnel at the clinic have all been very helpful and I can't say enough about Dr. Lemon.

I have been meaning to write this review for a long time now and never got to it. I would highly recommend Animal Clinic Suburban. Dr. Lemon is fantastic and a miracle worker. My daughter's dog had puppies and one of the puppies somehow broke her elbow. My daughter took Sassy to an after hours clinic and they x-rayed her elbow and said to contact her vet this next day. Long story short, her vet did not get the xrays for a few days. Upon her doctor receiving them, they called and said this was a very serious break and she may have to take the puppy to an out of state specialty hospital. He then told her there was possibly ONE vet in Omaha that could help, and if anyone in the area could it was Dr. Lemon at Animal Clinic Suburban. He was interested in ortho and had skill. She made an appointment there with Dr. Lemon. He was wonderful with the puppy, explained what he could do, what the various outcomes could be, and worked with us with the financial issues. He operated on Sassy and put in several pins in the little,tiny immature bones. Very tedious. She required another surgery to remove the pins down the road. Sassy still favors her leg, but when playing forgets and uses it normally. I cannot say enough about Dr. Lemon's compassion, expertise in specialty ortho work, and willingness to help. A HUGE "Thank You" to Dr. Lemon and his clinical staff. He and his staff are the best, and if we had not been going to our vet forty+ years, or our vet retires, we will be heading to Animal Clinic Suburban and calling Dr. Lemon our new veterinarian. I paid SIXTY DOLLARS for a nail trim for both our dogs, that's $60! No exam, just nail trims. Let me repeat that.... $30 for a single nail trim that took 2 minutes. My husband asked them a few days prior what they would charge for a nail trim while he was picking up dog food. He swears the woman in front told him $11.50 per trim. So naturally I nearly had a stroke when they rung us up. The nail trims START at $17 and the $11.50 is a "visit fee." A what?! Just be honest and tell people that a nail trim starts at $27.50. I have no idea what constitutes a visit since they had no exam or anything. Just completely unethical. Will never ever go back and will no longer even buy food here either.

This Animal Clinic is an outstanding Veterinary Clinic! All of the Vets are wonderful! The people who work behind the desk are great people, and all the Vet Techs are fantastic too! We began going to this Clinic when we found out our regular Vet was no longer where we had been going .. And I tracked her down! Melody Kaliff, our Vet, was now working at Suburban! It's great though, because it's a smaller clinic then where we had been going, and there is something wonderful to be said about the atmosphere in a smaller clinic! I highly recommend this clinic and any of the Vets there. Of course, Melody Kaliff holds a special place in our hearts, as she was wonderful with our little Cocker Spaniel! Unfortunately our doggie, Zachary, left for Rainbow Bridge just 7 weeks ago today. As we are deeply saddened by his departure, I would take any dog I own to Suburban! And especially to Melody or Robin! Thanks to all of you there at Suburban, you are doing a wonderful job!!! Sincerely, Marcia and Rich

Sucked in by his droopy eyes and lovable personality, we ignored the warning signs (more like dollar signs) when we adopted our cockerspaniel from the Nebraska Humane Society. Trust me when I tell you that the little box Yelp provides for reviews would not allow me to list all of his medical issues. I digress. We were taking our little guy to a different vet who was perfectly OK, except we're those crazy "we'd rather help treat him with diet as much as possible to get him off of the 12 pill a day regimen" kind of people. So after a six month relationship with that vet, we thought we'd try someone who aligned more with our philosophy and had a special interest in helping dogs with all of his issues (dermatology, allergies, UTIs, etc...).We've only been going to Dr. Nelson for a few months now but we LOVE her. She goes above and beyond to help us get our dog to a state of good health. She's researched conditions, established our relationship with an animal dietician (I know, I know), and is on point with followup. When we took our little cutester to the Emergency Animal Clinic at 1:30 a.m. because he ate half a bar of super-dark-premium chocolate, she was calling us by 8:30 a.m. that morning to check in with us after having received the overnight report.Staff is friendly and doesn't cop an attitude EVER, even when we call 15 minutes before closing on a Saturday for a refill on meds and they have to stay a bit late.If you're looking for a vet for your "special" dog (or even your completely healthy and perfect dog), this is the place for you.
