This is a smaller office and the Veternarian and his staff are so nice. We walked in right after they opened with my dog who was extremely sick. They got us in right away and treated my little buddy without trying to charge for frivolous things we couldn't afford. I am so happy we choose this office and we will be back ( with an appointment next time). Dr. Zimmerman is the best. We've been with him for 4 years now and even though we don't live very close anymore we still keep coming back to him because we trust him and the staff so much. He's kind and honest and we always seem to learn something new from him when we visit. This clinic is amazing! Dr. Zimmerman is such a knowledgeable veterinarian who will no doubt make you laugh. I dropped my dog off for surgery today (with tears in eyes) and the whole staff made me feel so comfortable and better by the time I left. He came out looking wonderful and so happy! This place is very dirty. They're equipment is very old and falling apart. Dr. Zimmerman was very friendly but we will not be going back. While my puppy and I were there getting his second round of puppy shot there was a man there with a pit bull telling me to keep my dog away because his dog would "tear him to pieces". I then found out this man and his dog didn't even have an appointment and we had to wait over 30 minutes for a room. We couldn't use the room his dog was on because it had kennel cough. To top it all off I just realized my puppy has fleas! Which he got at the clinic! I am furious! Read Less

Of all the animal clinics I've been to in Omaha, Benson Animal Clinic is paws down the best. Dr. Zimmerman and his staff are all very personable. And they're always happy to take an extra moment or two to explain exactly what's going on with your pooch, kitty or other pet. It's kind of like having Bill Nye as your vet - each visit is very informative and can even be kinda funny.We had a kitten with a broken foot. We took her to Dr. Zimmerman to get her cast changed each week for about a month. Because of the love care I saw them give to each and every one of their patients, I never loathed going. I can't say that about other local animal clinics. And their rates are very reasonable. I highly recommend taking your pet(s) here for all their veterinary needs. Read Less

If there is something he does not know or cannot do, which is rare, he will direct to to a vet that can. By far, the BEST vet in the Omaha area. Every time I've gone to see Dr. Z at the Benson Animal Clinic, it has been a great experience. This is the best vet I have ever been to. We used to use Banfield, but realized how bad we were getting taken advantage of when we found this clinic. I have also used the vet service on Offutt AFB, and the Benson Animal Clinic is even cheaper than they are, which surprised me. Dr. Z is the best. We have used him for our dog Tucker since we got him 2 1/2 years and can't say enough nice things about him. My brother in law has been taking his elderly dog, Buddy, to him and he recently got real sick (just old mostly) and he decided to put him down. Dr.Zimmerman is amazing!!  He is very knowledgeable and you can tell that he genuinely cares about your pet.  Yesterday I took my 13 year old dog in, and Dr. Z diagnosed lymphoma.  He explained all our options and was extremely patient while we were in tears.  Today my dog went to heaven, but I was so comforted by the gentleness that Dr. Z showed.  His prices are very reasonable, but to be honest, I would pay three times as much to stick with this outstanding vet.  Thank you Dr. Z!!
