Florence Animal Hospital

Omaha, Nebraska
General Info
Florence Animal Hospital is a caring and dependable resource for families all around Omaha. The Florence Animal Hospital in Omaha significantly emphasizes the importance of micro-movement and posture to animal health. A tail that goes down when the animal is calm or takes steps backward as if resetting (every specific detail is a way to communicate in this care model). The session starts with spatial reading. Observers note how pets anchor their weight and how often they move their eyes or wag their tails. Employees then lean diagonally when direct body positioning stresses animals and rely on pauses when common vocal signals engage them too much. They stay there until the first training session starts for the pets to get used to seeing them. Florence Animal Hospital provides integrative diagnostics, surgical consultations, pain tracking, sensory response care, and structured mobility rehabilitation. Everything acts during the procedure and is adjusted accordingly. When a pet assumes a flattened posture and gaze aversion, sessions would regress back to square one with the targets being rhythmic or patterned movement steps. Owners receive an aftercare plan (extend hands in side arcs to know when to incorporate movement contrast) and a visual pacing guide on how to reenter routines (walk toward the doors). This way, the home care routine is not disrupted more than necessary. Families in Omaha and pet owners across Nebraska identify with Florence Animal Hospital on a profound level, thanks to the sophisticated interplay of silent signals and responsive pacing. Some of the popular services at the facility include oncology, neurology, vaccinations, dental care, acupuncture, dermatology, boarding and grooming, surgery, and prescription medications. Florence Animal Hospital strives to instill confidence in pet owners through open communication and high standards of care, regardless of whether routine management plans or complex health problems are addressed. The team constantly improves and remains actively involved in the community to ensure that pets in Omaha and across the United States can access high-quality services.

I went to Dr. Roberts for 25 years and only left because I moved. Dr. Roberts took care of my six dogs over the course of that time. He saw me and my "babies" through good times and bad, always with impeccable and loving care, patience, and genuine concern. Jan was always 100% there for me in the office. Worst vet experience I have ever had. Dr. Roberts acted rude, condescending, uncaring, judgmental, and unprofessional. He has no respect or patience for dogs with fear aggression or difficulties going to the vet. He tries to dominate dogs by manhandling them, and he treats their owners like they are unintelligent and irresponsible. My family brought dogs to Dr. Roberts for 17 years, and after multiple traumatic vet appointments where he treated us poorly, we realized it was time to leave. After one appointment, he slammed the door unprofessionally. When we talked to him later on the phone, he told us he was "quite frankly tired of seeing our dogs" and he'd be happy to see them go elsewhere. DEAL! I wouldn't recommend him to anyone. Read Less

We have been going here for years. As our rat terrier began to show signs of age and other issues, Dr. Roberts was great about spelling out our options of treatment and comfort for her from least to most expensive. Our mini schnauzer suffers from allergies and he spent so much time with me explaining the progressive treatment and how it would benefit her and how much it could eventually cost me. I've come in on the verge of tears and he and his staff have been more than caring! We will continue to use Dr. Roberts for years to come! Read Less
