I love this place. They are able to perfectly balance quality care and affordability. I'm young and live mostly paycheck to paycheck but have 5 pets including 2 rabbits (considered exotic so tend to be extra expensive) because I do rescue. They always work with me on a treatment plan I can afford but still get my pets well and never pressure me to do unnecessary tests or procedures. For example I took my dog to the emergency vet because he ate a pack of gum at 11 at night. They charged me almost $1000 for overnight observation, fluids and meds and outright told me there were no other options when I told them I couldn't afford it. I ended up putting it on a credit card but taking him to Rockbrook the second they opened in the morning (another thing, they ALWAYS get me in when I need it) as E vet wanted to keep him another 24 hours and charge me another $1000. I explained that money was very tight so the Drs at Rockbrook did a very conservative treatment plan and monitored him closely all day, then let me take him home with instructions on what to watch for myself. Charged me less than $100, literally 10% of what the E-vet was going to charge for what they claimed was the only option. I have been to tons of vets and I honestly would not choose anywhere else over this clinic. Read Less

Dr Kyle is a very excellent dr as all the other drs there. If there is something going on with your pet they will try to squeeze you in. Bear had to come in because he was feeling under the weather. Dr . Kyle was there to help me. She checked him out, his leg was fine and he had a bit of the flu so he was given some meds and today he is back to his ole self. My first visit to this clinic was excellent; however, during my second visit, the staff person at the front desk seemed "put out" by me asking her to weigh my puppy. This soured the experience and because the first visit was so highly discounted, I was surprised to be met with a very high bill. I do believe that the front desk staff person was perhaps having a bad day but the fees here are just too high to warrant continued visits. It was a very hard decision that we had to make and they make things so much easier for me and my family we had to make a hard decision we were not wanting to do but had to say it worked very hard to try and find every option that we could possibly do no matter how far was and he had to travel they called multiple doctors to see about getting us know if they were amazing doctor brand was amazing and reassuring when I was doubtful on with decision we had to make and was nervous and felt like I was shouldn't make that decision he was very reassuring in the fact that it was the right way we were meeting to go dr. My cat's yearly physical was nothing more than a check of his ears and comments about his weight, which I would have liked to discuss with the veterinarian but did not feel inclined to do after his rough handling of said cat and bored tone. My inquiries about other concerns were brushed off. I did not feel heard and, as such, have found a veterinarian with better bedside manner. Doctor Vipond was a fantastic doctor, the rest of the clinic wasn't that great. The receptionists were rude, and kept calling my cat a dog on one of my visits. I had to make several visits in the span of two months as one of my cats had a broken leg and most days, dealing with them left a sour taste in my mouth. There was one day that they had me leave the cat there for a cast change and never bothered to call when she was done. I'm very confused after leaving Rockbrook. The staff seemed to be in a state of chaos when I took my dog in for her first visit. The staff did not ask me who I was or why I was there, they just sent me to one of the examination rooms. When a technician finally came in, he addressed me and my dog by the wrong names. It took him a few minutes to figure out that I was a new patient. He didn't seem to believe me or connect the dots (and to be fair, it wasn't his fault, it was the woman who booked my appointment's fault who didn't even ask me who I or my dog was). We have two rabbits, which not every vet it prepared to deal with, and have been searching for a new vet since we moved into the West O area. I think we've found it. I brought my 13 year old cat here after a very thourogh search for the best vet in Omaha, I was not dissapointed. Unfortunately after lots of tests an X-ray and a cat scan they determined that the best route for my baby was to make him comfortable until I was ready to put him to sleep as he had a tumor in his bladder and it was too risky to operate. After a few weeks keeping him comfortable we decided it was time to put him down, they handled it with compassion and empathy and he went quickly and comfortably. After that experience I refuse to take my pets anywhere else. You will not get this kind of quality from any other clinic in Omaha.Read Less
