We had a dog seen by them that required urgent vet care over the weekend until they opened again on Tuesday to transfer back into Walnuts care, unfortunately my dog did not make it through the weekend. My dog must have swallowed something and it got stuck/lodged, and barfed a couple times and had labored breathing issues. Unfortunately it all happened after the 5:00 hour on Friday, so his usual doc's office had already closed. I found that this office was open until 6:00, so I rushed him over there, got him in and let them know what was going on, and there was another patient checking out when we came in. I was told that there was no doctor left in the building already, and was referred to the crap excuses for 24 hour emergency clinics around town. The fact that there were no doctors in the building, plus no trained vet tech could even look at my dog with breathing issues is absolutely disgusting. Not like my dog had an issue that could wait until the next day, but breathing problems, and we got turned away by who I thought are trained to protect and save animals' lives. Instead, I was shown that closing on time on a Friday is more important to the staff at this office. NEVER bringing my dog back here, and not suggesting this place to any of my other animal-loving friends. If his usual office had still been open and I had gotten him in shortly before closing, they would have stayed with my dog and done everything needed for him to make sure he is ok. This is my regular vet for my dog after a coworker recommended them to me. I've had to take my pup in for emergency surgery after she ate something she shouldn't have. They squeezed my dog in and allowed me to drop her off in the morning so I could go to work even though they couldn't really see her till the afternoon. They took great care of her.I expected the bill to be much higher than it was, but of course it was still pricey. Couldn't figure out my dog had simple yeast infection. Charged 120$ for culture. Stated culture take 5-8 weeks. Never called with results and would not give medicines. These are some of the nicest people who truly know how to make you feel better about the situation with your loved one. Our Cavalier got very sick with little understanding of why. They ran all the tests, did a few xrays, an IV and kept her overnight. They kept us informed throughout and did an amazing job in letting us know everything would work out. That was probably the best experience we've ever had going to a vet in the five years we've had our first dog. He is comfortable with the fact that we feed our dogs a well-balanced raw food diet. Local neighborhood friendly vet for a fair price. The staff are all welcoming and kind as well as the vet. I got in at the scheduled time, the vet spent plenty of time with my dog and was gentle with her. He got on the floor with her and felt her belly, behind her legs, her muscles, looked at her eyes, teeth, ears, etc. He also asked me a variety of question to make sure no health problems laid underneath the surface. A complete exam, four shots and tax cost me just under $100. I highly recommend them. Read Less

We went there for the first time in Feb. to get an updated vaccination for our terrified dog who gets aggressive, especially around males (we did decide to muzzle him, and we're glad we did). A normal activity such as a vet visit can be extremely frustrating with a terrified, anxious and aggressive dog. But Dr. Ravnsborg sat there with us for over an hour (past closing time), waiting for our nervous dog to calm down, all while answering all of our questions and addressing concerns with our newly adopted pooch. Our dog finally calmed down thanks to Dr. Ravnsborg's ability to remain relaxed and laid back (and lots of treats!). I am so impressed with the time he took to sit there with us and make sure not only we were comfortable, but our dog was as well. He even let our dog sniff around the back employee area to help him get more comfortable with the facility. And even though our next visit, he will only need to meet with a vet tech, Dr. Ravnsborg told us to let him know when we were in next and he would stop out to say hi to our dog to let him get comfortable with him again. I can't thank you enough for accepting our crazy dog and for seeing the sweet side of our dog. But more importantly, understanding that not all dogs are perfect. Thank you Dr. Ravnsborg!
