First off, I live in CA however my animals have been taken care of by family in Omaha. Please don't think that this review is not valid as I have only been in CA for 5 years but a Omaha & Lavista resident for over 35 years. This veterinarian came recommend by 2 people so I felt like it was a good idea to bring my dog and cat there. I had several issues over the years but I kept going. My mistake. Typically if you have one issue you chalk it up to a error or an anomaly but if problems persist, then it is probably a normal occurrence for this place.Anyway my dog has a issue with losing his hair. I had them run tests and have been giving him medication for years. The medication never worked and he still to this day has hair loss issues. He also has a cough that they could never properly diagnose as well. I had to research and find out what actually was wrong with him. I also had to figure out the best way to treat it on my own. Now to my cat. She was sick and I brought her in to get checked, they sent me home with pills and a bill. She didn't get better so I took her back, again home with another bill and more medicine. Finally took her in and they said she had stones. After paying for 3 visits and misdiagnoses I had them do the surgery. When I picked her up they added more costs onto the bill without my authorization. Not cool but after 1K at least my cat was better. Fast forward, we took her in to get her shaved (Persian) and when she came back one of her eyes was dilated. When I took her back they said they didn't know what the problem was but it wasn't their issue. I went home and researched myself to discover it was a condition called "Anisocoria" usually do to trauma to the head. I never found out what actually happened. This eventually subsided for the most part and she has gradually recovered. By now you are probably thinking "why the hell would you ever go back"? Well they are close to home and have all our records, yada yada... I know. Anyway last and final time we took our cat in for a shave... sure enough, HUGE medical problem. My cat came home lethargic and ultimately deaf. OMG! My cat came back deaf! I took her to another vet and she 100% permanently lost her hearing. I feel horrible that do to my being lazy, or forgiving, or whatever you call it, Now my cat is disabled. Yes, after all this we are finally done with this vet. The first time we took my dog and cat to a new veterinarian we needed to have the records transferred. The new vet basically had to have me recall from memory and decipher the cryptic chicken scratch of records they loosely keep. This place is just unacceptable and I feel obligated as a animal lover to warn people with pets before choosing this vet. BTW, they charge for EVERYTHING! I never left spending less than $150. And the receptionist was typically short tempered and abrasive. The vet was nice but I do not feel he is thorough as he speeds through the examination. He spends very little time examining and rushes the explanation of what he finds and I never really felt confident in what he was saying. If you truly care about your pet, and value the dollars in your wallet, do a little more research before choosing this vet. Everything in this review is accurate and my first hand experience. I have the bills and documentation to support it. Choose wisely and good luck! Read Less
