If I could give negative starts, I would. We have a family of cute barn owls that have lived at our property for over 7 years. One of their babies flew into our garage and broke it's wing trying to get out. My husband picked the baby up and started looking on the internet as to whom to call for help. Nevada Wild Bird Rescue Group Directory listed a name close to us. After a phone conversation, I felt sick to my stomach for she was not only rude, but extremely un-compassionate. Unbeknownst to me, I ended up calling her again after receiving her phone number from a vet clinic in Reno. During the second phone call, I had her on speaker phone while my husband listened to her negative demeanor as she told me that it was not her job to take care of every bird that is found on the streets. Thankfully, a local vet here in Minden came to our rescue, and even though we do not know the outcome of what we consider our family, he and the staff made us feel comforted in a time that is heartbreaking. Here are the parents below. Read Less
