Good service by staff! The staff here is patient and careful dealing with our dog. Typically my dog is mild mannered but the day we took him to get his testes snipped he was an all-out jerk. They handled him kindly. Pricing is fair. They will become my go to Animal Clinic from here on out. Read Less

Piece of shit veterinarian and facility! 210$ and one week  later these ass clowns still didn't pull the sliver out of my dogs foot. They were shown the exact point of entry and cut someplace completely different and say they didn't see anything!!! Crooked and ignorant AF. AVOID 100% PISSED OFF CUSTOMER!!! Took my 3, 8 week old puppies in for their first vaccinations. The doctor was so gentle with them that not one of them cried when they got the vaccination. All of the staff is so kind and caring. I recently lost a fur baby while visiting family out of state. I had rushed him to the nearest emergency vet where they were unable to save him. The EV reached out to Moffitt to notify them of my loss. Moffitt then sent me the sweetest card. My next visit in, they remembered and were all so wonderful. I usually take my dog to a different Vet clinic in Sparks but when that clinic presented me with a ridiculous quote to remove 4 small skin tumors, I thought that I should get a second opinion.  I heard about Dr. Moffitt and was told that he is in not a great orator, however, if you want a great vet that treats you fair, then give them a try.  My visit went well and I learned a lot about my options. Dr. Moffit definitely struggles with words but if you listen and ask questions, he will give you straight answers.  If he doesn't know, then he tells you that.  His fees are very reasonable and there are not any add on items that other clinics try to stick you with.  for instances, he advised against getting dental cleaning while my buddy was under anesthesia for the tumor surgery because it has the potential to spread bacteria.  My Sparks vet wanted to add dental to the already expensive bill.  Funny, that there was no mention of my dog needing a cleaning during his recent Sparks Vet checkup and I specifically asked that.  Dr. Moffitt's staff are VERY friendly. I'm not sure what some of the other Yelpers issues with the staff were but I did notice that those Yelpers  were from California so go figure. Read Less

We love our vet back home but found this visit to an unfamiliar vet and excellent experience for our kitty and us. Concerned about our kitty's health. We are from out of state.Receptionist was very empathetic, conferred with vet who had surgeries scheduled but made time for our pet to come in that very morning. The office is easy to find. Waiting and exam area very clean and pet friendly. Staff friendly and efficent ,very caring, gentle , knowledgeable, reassuring. Dr. Moffitt was so very gentle while examining kitty, he actually laid calmly on exam table purring. Dr. Moffitt gave clear summary on results of his exam. easy to follow treatment recommendations , and symptoms to watch for. No unnecessary testing or expenses. I highly recommend this veterinarian. I have two labrador dogs that I raised from a bottle. One is now diabetic and after many times of having friends give the insulin and feed in the morning and maybe not get it right and have my one dog get sick and be hospitalized, Moffit finally got everything right. Not only that, they suggested an excellent pet carer to help me in the mornings (i work an early shift) and since then, both my dogs have gotten their weight more under control and their health has improved and yearly check ups have been the only reason they see the doc. I cannot thank them enough for the good care and for understanding the big problem I was having and for knowing how much I love my dogs and how hard I was trying to keep my diabetic dog healthy. Brought my kitty in for a spay. She did so well. The staff was caring and loving and gave her pain meds. They understood my worries and explained everything to me and advised me to call if there were any troubles (there were none!) Excellent clinic. As I was waiting I noted they had an AAHA Accreditation! This means they have been evaluated on approximately 900 standards of veterinary excellence. He's now killed 3 of my pets because of his lack of empathy, understanding and it all boiled down to $$$. I begged him to save my pet, but I only had a few hundred $$ cash. He absolutely wouldn't allow payments and after the $$ talk he never even tried to save my pet. He has no compassion for his patients or their owners. If you have a healthy pet that needs shots, or a spay or neuter he's ok. Emergencies DO NOT go there.  Drive into Sparks to Baring Village Animal Hospital, they care, they are wonderful. If you choose Moffitt's clinic However...Monday's & Tuesday's Dr. Calvin Moffitt is there, he is a wonderful, wonderful man. His son Eric however? I have no idea how they can even be related. My pugs eye popped out of socket and I called around. No one had time to take her in or wanted me to come in the next day. I called Moffitt and they took her in right away. I can't say how "Grateful" I am to/for them.Great staff, great doctor! Beyond thankful! Read Less

I took my dog in to be neutered, the facility was exceptionally clean, the staff was friendly, they allowed me to walk my dog all the way to the back kennel room. It was nice to go somewhere that truly cared about my dog. I would highly recommend them.Read Less

I wanted to thank Dr Moffitt and his staff for getting my dog Bo in as an emergency and taking exceptional care of him and fixing him up. It was a big challenging that day as I was going into surgery as well. They made it so easy for me and my husband that we never had to worry about anything. Thank you for the care you give animals. You want a review??. Ohhh. This place should be shut down for malpractices, and miss diagnosis. My baby boy died because they refused to do any further testing, close to closing time. They couldn't wait to send us out with nothing to go on. Said he was dehydrated. Said he would get better in a few days. They wouldn't give us the time of day. Everyday got worse after that visit. 3 days later he died. They should have admitted him as per our request. Moffit didn't see that it was necessary. That clinic is a joke. The Dr should no longer be aloud to keep his credentials. The staff there could have at least cared just a little bit. Gave our a baby a chance. Instead kicked him to the curb like every other patient. I do not recommend anyone to go there. You will not get the care you deserve. Pets are our family.Read Less

Horrible! I took my little sweetheart in, she was expecting, and the staff wasn't very friendly at all. I was a bit shocked by this because while there I explained that we were new to the area and needed a new vet. We left that day, and a few days later our little bundles arrived, I called to make a puppy appointment for our little munchkins, they knew who I was, and I was put on hold for twenty minutes and then hung up on. I called back and was hung up on again. It wasn't a call 'failed', but rather a 'call ended'. I called back about fifteen minutes later. I told them that someone hung up on me, the girl sounded guilty, and nervous, she was indeed the same girl I spoke with, this being the third time. She gave me some information, but was abrupt with no apology. I remembered back to our first appointment and some comments that were made to us about my fur baby and her condition. 'She looks miserable',  looking us over critically- it was odd. Nothing remotely caring was said during our visit, to our little girl or to us. Our family has four French Bulldogs, one 16 yr old boxer. Two of our pets are fixed, and one has very extensive health issues, we as a family has spent a lot for their care. Our fur kids travel with us and are never alone- yes we are those pet owners. I don't feel like Moffett wants to care for every pet and welcome customers without judgement. I know they were turning up they're noses because our little one was expecting. I think they need to add another scripture to their wall, "Judge not lest you be judged." Our family has found wonderful care at North Hills Vet clinic in Reno. They love seeing our fur kids, and always treat us with respect and care. My previous vet was amazing! So I know great service.. My dogs hate this vet & I totally get it.! From a mis-diagnoses of CANCER!!!!!! It is a bone SPUR!! To an infection on with my other dog CREATED AT THIS CLINIC... I had asked when I picked my dog up what is this huge knot on her back?! This wasn't here when I brought her in... ! Ohhh I'm not sure. I had to bring her back in a couple of days later with it oozing pus.!! REALLY !! I WAS CHARGED for her INFECTION MEDICATION.. And had to deal with this on top of her illness and the infection left a large scar on her back Not to mention how painful this was for her and lasted several MONTHS This vet has NOOOOO personality... and in my opinion it doesn't matter how desperate one is...... GO FIND A DIFFERENT VET!!! Charges are Quite HIGH They just don't seem to really have the compassion that I'm looking for in a DR... Read Less

Absolutely the worst vet I have ever been to. My dog gets ear infections a few times a year. The vet here would prescribe medication with refills, then deny the refills when I came in there for more medication. The only reason I gave them one star is because I couldn't give them zero. Spend your hard earned money at the other vet in town... They are MUCH better!Read Less

My granddaughter had a little black dog following her back to our house it was very cold and scared so we called the clinic to see if she was chipped and she was I could not bring little dog back to my house because of my hunt dogs they keep her there safe out of the cold they rock it's nice to have a vet that cares Read Less

I would rate this a ZERO if possible.  My wife called today to try and come in tonight to put our 18 year old cat down, and was told she could come in at 330, or make an appointment for Saturday.  They wanted my cat who is suffering to wait an extra few days to have peace.  What kind of heartless person would suggest that?  Needless to say we will never attempt to go here again nor would I ever suggest to anyone that they go there as well.. I was just there to get my dog his shots. The front office was polite and helpful. The Dr. came in and gave my dog a brief exam before the shots. Then we sat and discussed future care; dental cleaning. My dog was a shelter dog and he was fine with the Dr and his assistant. I will be going back for the dental hygiene. Not sure when last reviewed?? Same name and phone number different location?? Probably due to lack of ethics and Really bad communication skills. Sorry to say they will  write down anything the dog or puppy owner tells them no verification reqired, not much of a check up and then refuse info on a  puppy that you can prove you own. This is not good practice when dealing with AKC registerd dogs and their litters.... You are left with a cheesy card given to you and no actual proof of anything! Unless the seller or Breeder (used loosly) calls the office giving permission to release the records of the so called parents, again this is only provided by the owner and verified by ? Read Less
