The staff at A Cat Hospital are always helpful and patient as I am a nervous cat mom and call the vet's office often when my cats are getting procedures done. Dr. McAllister is the best vet I have ever been to in the 11 years of owning a cat. He is understanding, honest and straightforward when I ask questions about my cats' health. He doesn't sugarcoat things, which I really appreciate because I'd rather have the truth upfront that something is wrong than to be told something is better than it really is because the vet doesn't want to upset me. Dr. McAllister provides dedicated care and went above and beyond to support my cat, O'Maley, and me when O'Maley had to get her leg removed due to cancer. He stayed late after her surgery to make sure that she came out of the anesthesia without complication. He is excellent with my other cats (who are very skittish), and whenever I go in, he has suggestions of what can be done to address the issue at hand. I have never once felt pressured to get x-rays, shots, procedures or anything else without trying the most necessary (and often the cheapest) option first. He also has never made me feel stupid or like I'm a bad cat mom because I missed something wrong with my cats' health (ex: when I had to have 12 of my other cat's teeth pulled because I didn't realize that he had advanced gingivitis). I know that A Cat Hospital is more expensive than other vets, but I can't say enough good things about Dr. McAllister and the rest of the staff, and I feel that the care that my cats have received for the past two years has been worth the higher prices. We love A Cat Hospital! We have been taking our kitty Casey there for a year now. This is the first time we've gone to a vet that is exclusively geared towards cats and we love it. The exam rooms have a cat tree in them and they work so hard to make our kitty feel comfortable and safe. My cat died because they failed to take care of her. I had taken her in on a Monday because she had been injured due to being ran over Saturday night (I found out later that her injury was due to being ran over). After having a check up, they did surgery on her foot that became infected due to the injury. The doctor decided to keep her until her foot healed. Friday morning I got a call from the doctor that my cat was breathing very hard and he did an X-Ray to see what was happening. He noticed that she had a hernia and advised me to take her to another hospital because there was nothing he could do. I ended up taking my cat to the hospital he recommended that same day. My cat ended up dying that Friday night at the hospital because she was running a fever, had low blood pressure, had internal bleeding, and had an infection. The hospital told me that the antibiotics she was put on were not helping. My cat had also lost all feeling in her tail and if she had survived, her tail and possibly her foot were going to be amputated. The doctor at this hospital sent me to another expensive hospital because he thought a hernia was going to kill her. What killed her was that he kept her for almost a week and all of these other things that actually killed her went undetected. I love this place. The people are so very nice and they are terrific with my cat Merle. Merle is a rescue and so I have no idea what his history is. The staff has been so kind. Merle has allergies and he vet has been so caring and helpful with this matter. What I really appreciate is the fact that I wasn't pushed expensive medications and remedies. Merle was given what he needed. Another great thing is that I am given options and I don't feel like I am being railroaded in a certain direction. In the end I also feel that the prices are reasonable. I love it but when you need vet care and you walk away and don't feel like you paid a lot of money. Beware of this cat hospital. You will be vastly overcharged for services not rendered. Also they are not sharing with their animals. They will not let you in the back room because of the way they treat them. I've asked for my cats to be shaved on their bottom and sanitary and they shaved him all the way there next and then told me that they needed to be sedated the next time why you ask because that's an extra $400 my cats are well behaved cats but when you learn that they have been hurt as a result of visiting this hospital and come home limping you know somethings not normal please please please beware of this hospital they're not who you think they are Read Less

I can not say enough good things about this Vet Clinic! From drop off to pickup they are wonderful! The ladies that work in the front are so sweet and treat your animals like a king/queen. They are honest and upfront about cost when you call- there's no question of what you are getting into once you agree to a procedure. Highly recommend to anyone that needs a bet for their cat! We flew our Diana from Long Island, NY to Henderson about 9 years ago. She was picked up from a litter of stray kittens by my 5 year old nephew. Two days later his mother turned her over to me. We spotted Cat Hospital while learning our way around town and took Diana there since. The staff, the service is excellent. Diana loved when we visited. She felt happy, comfortable. She owned the place and everyone there. Unfortunately our 11 year old Diana said goodbye last week at Cat Hospital. Couldn't have chosen a better place for her trip to the rainbow bridge. Brought my cat here for an exam and a dental based on these reviews. Dr. Z was not that friendly and seemed annoyed by my questions. The cost was extremely expensive based on other vets in the area. They kept me waiting in a room for over 45 mins and didn't apologize or acknowledge the lateness. My cat had an infection after the dental so back to the dr's office. Saw Dr. Auge, who was nicer. Got charged a 'recheck' fee and paid $$ for antibiotics. Some old lady 'vet tech' just grunts at you and needs a hairbrush. I recently got a kitten (winston)  and was in search of a good vet to start taking her to. My sister found the cat hospital for me and the first time I took her in the front desk was very kind and helpful. They put me in a room right away and the vet was in within ten minutes. Along with the immediate service, the vet was extremely nice and willing to answer any and all questions. I felt like they took their time and genuinely care about your cat. I had my little "Pee Wee' de-clawed. Pee Wee is so cute and sweet but had a terrible scratching problem. He scratched everything!!! Walls, furniture, door frames....everything. It had to be done and we were quite nervous of how it would go. Because he is a rescue, he is very shy and skittish.  I have to say from start to finish, the people at A Cat Hospital were great. They kept our Pee Wee over night and when we picked him up he was very drowsy from the pain meds. They gave us the after care instructions and we followed them to a tee. The scary part was when Pee Wee wouldn't have a bowel movement. It was a couple of days and he still wouldn't go. The girls from A Cat Hospital were so sweet and caring. Just relocated to Las Vegas. I am the proud owner of 3 kitties and was beyond excited to find a vet that only attended to cats. When I seen A Cat Hospital I decided to stop in to see about bringing my senior cat in for monthly injections that she's been getting for years. The front staff was very nice and willing to answer any questions that they could that I might have.I took the paper work home with me to fill out and went back the following week for an appointment. The office is very clean, neat and seems to run extremely efficient. Dr Heather came in and examined my kitty and let me know that they would gladly order what injection my cat needed. My kitties are my kids so I tend to be extremely picky on vets. I couldn't have been more pleased with Dr. Heather. Sas, my Bengal, isn't the most pleasant cat to deal with at vet appointments but Dr Heather was very patient with her and very gentle. When our pebbles the cat needed her first office visit I was wondering where to go.I didn't realize that there were cat specialty locations, until I found this one. We didn't have an appointment or anything but these folks at this cat hospital were so very accommodating . We walked in and notice no dogs or any other animals . This was very pleasing for our pebbles. It was less stressful for her.The environment is very cat friendly. The staff was friendly. Linda was extremely helpful. She's very deicated to rescuing cats ,so kudos for her efforts.Doctor McAllister was awesome. As new cat parents  he was very patient with us. My 5 month old SUSHI was not herself. I called and from the receptionist to the doctor they were attentive and understanding. Was able to bring her in on a saturday. From their yearly check ups, to helping us deal with illness and loss we have always been well taken care of here. The assistants and staff are amazing, caring and compassionate as well. We dropped my cat off in the morning for a grooming appointment we had made a few days earlier. First of all, the sign says it opens at 7:30 am but no one arrived until quarter to 8. We were quoted a price of $47 +$25 (if they need to sedate the cat), but when we went to leave the cat they tried to show us an itemized list that came to $320. That was completely unacceptable and we insisted that we only wanted a grooming. We were then told that they take the cats in order and there was no one else there when we dropped off my cat. Over 5 hours later, when we still heard nothing from them, we called to see how the cat was doing. That was when we were told that the cat had still not been groomed and that he was so stressed out he was "running into walls." Of course he is stressed out! They had him locked up for hours with no water or food! Then they had the nerve to tell us (after we said to just leave him be and we'd be over immediately to pick him up) that it would be $190 for boarding! They should have sedated him and groomed him as originally agreed upon then my poor cat would not have suffered. They are money hungry and do not care about cats. The two women who were at the front desk when we arrived to pick up our cat were rude and when we asked (calmly albeit strained, we didn't voice our outrage until she was rude in response) why they didn't call us earlier if they were having such a hard time with him? She said "I don't know what to tell you, we had other appointments." There was no one else there when we arrived! Who had an earlier appointment than first?! I suggest if you care about your cats to find someone else to take them somewhere else. This was disgusting.Read Less

Took our cat in the morning. We suspected a UTI. Of course they wanted us to do an x-ray for the $$$. First they said he would be ready to go around noon. Then it was 2:00. Then 3:00. Then we got him back around 4:30. Never got to talk to the doctor. Was told the doctor would call us on Monday (we took him in on Friday). Never received a call. You guys are amazing!! Such a night and day experience from our last vet. Our older kitty came home from surgery on Saturday afternoon and was already purring and back to her normal self by Sunday morning. I'm amazed! The last time she had this surgery it was months before we got her back on her feet. I can't thank you all enough. Amazing. They truly care. I had both of my cats neutered here. Recently, when one of my cats started acting weird, Dr. McAllister was extremely helpful and informative. He guessed spot on what was wrong with my cat - something was blocking his digestive system. X-rays later, there it was. Through the entire process he was great; he even let me postpone the surgery scheduled without any guilt trips and what do you know - my cat passed the biggest hair ball I've ever seen in his poop thanks to the doc's recommendations of hairball elimination gel and probiotics. Maybe some would have taken advantage of us because of how worried we were of our cat, and demanded surgery that day, but not this hospital. We just saved $1700. Always a great experience here. I am new to the area and was looking for a place to take my cats for their shots. I found some excellent reviews for this place, and a few friends suggested it. I took my 2 cats here for their shots, and the place is really great. It's specifically for cats, so there are no dogs running around to make them uncomfortable and there are cat trees in every exam room, which my cats loved. Dr. Zamora clearly loves cats and is very knowledgeable. I would feel comfortable with her taking care of any of my cats' needs. Plus the price was extremely reasonable. I just had my British Shorthair spayed at A Cat Hospital a couple of days ago. I was really nervous about finding a good place to take her to that wouldn't treat us like just another number or rip me off. I've been to a few vets that quote you one price, then when it's time to pay there are a whole bunch of pricey add ons. That makes it really stressful. Do vets really wonder why you're hesitant to rush your pet there for every little thing? Not so at A Cat Hospital. The front desk people were sooo nice to us and the price charged was the price quoted. Dr. Goldsboro was very courteous and informative and they treated my baby kitty very well.
