Quick professional service. I normally use another vet but they were closed today so I went here to get help for My English bulldog. They got her x rays done, were very kind, and got her the medications she needed for the pains she was experience from her accident as well to help her pain from Arthritis. If you're anything like our family, your dogs are your family. Either your son or daughter, or brother or sister. Our 14 year old Springer Spaniel had a very large lump on his right shoulder that was almost as hard as concrete. He also had various non-cancerous tumors all over his body. We kept taking him in, getting him x Rays, and keeping an eye on him. We were there once a week. We took him in yesterday, as his day took a turn for the worst the night previously, and Dr. Massey told us the concrete shoulder was a tumor. Then she back tracked and told us it was inflammation on favoring that arm to compensate for pain. Then she told us it was back to a tumor and suggested amputation. It was very obvious she really had no idea what she was saying, and it would have been helpful to hear options. No options were given that seemed legitimate. Our boy didn't end up making it through the night, and it would have been nice to have heard some other possible options to either make him more comfortable or to have possibly prepared our family more for this. We have been going to this vet office since the day it opened. All in all we have really enjoyed our experiences, but Dr. Massey needs to work on her bedside manner, and I suggest asking for a different a vet if she happens to be the one who comes in. Read Less

I never have wrote a review but I have such anger I was pushed to do so. I just a beautiful litter of boxer puppies born Sunday. Brought them in on Tuesday to have the dew claw and tails docked. Procedure that any vet should be able to do. However one of the pups was cut way to deep and didn't get to heal right. He immediately got an infection and by the time I caught it, it was already too late. So thanks to this place he will never get to live. Read Less

Recently this has become very confusing place to go to.  I was quoted one price on the phone and then had to explain to the woman that she quoted me for a completely different procedure than I was having done, then got a new quote and then after the procedure was done was charged an additional $50 (which they then offered to give me a discount on even though it was a fee that I was not supposed to be charged) just to find out that they actually messed up and had to refund me the difference after I called for 4 days straight to try to get a hold of the manager who was too busy to take phone calls or refund my money.  Once I finally got a hold of the person who was supposed to refund my money she became very rude and condescending with me by arguing and calling me "Honey" in a derogatory way.  It was a real hassle to deal with them which was unfortunate because we loved going to them in the past.  I hope they get their office staff and customer service under control and don't let it bring them down. Took our puppy there a couple of times for shots and wellness checks and was not pleased with some of the front desk staff. Always felt like we were a burden bringing our dog here and some cannot handle being busy. Have been told by one lady after not getting greeted coming in that she "doesn't know what's going on" and another time with an attitude that seemed like she didn't want us to stay and wait that "all the rooms were filled and there was 2 people waiting,  so are you sure you want to stay?" We have been taking our dogs here for over 6 years and have always had good experiences. All of the vets are attentive and helpful, but the wait can take a little while depending on why you are there. I recommend booking shots/check ups not first thing in the morning since that's when surgery check in is and often overnight emergencies. Read Less

The staff at this office are very rude and incompetent! Every time I take my dogs here to be boarded, there is always a different charge or the pricing has changed. They are very "creative" with their billing. I have taken my dogs there for two weekends in a row, the exact same amount of nights, and each bill was different. They are constantly telling me that my dogs need at least one of many vaccines updated in order for them to stay there. I picked my dogs up today and I had called ahead earlier to ask how much it was going to be. Sherri (the manager) had answered and I asked her how much it was going to be when I picked up my dogs today. She actually sighed and said "let me pull your chart" then abruptly put me on hold. After holding for what seemed like 10 minutes she got back on the phone and told me what the cost was going to be. It was a lot more than I normally pay. I did take into consideration that one of my dogs did have to get yet another vaccine and the stool test they require every 3 to 4 months. I asked her how much it was a night for the kennel that they shared and she told me the price which had also increased. I was never informed when booking the boarding that they increased their prices at the beginning of the year. I was trying to get answers as far as why the price had increased so much. Sherri kept sighing as if I was an inconvenience to her. Later this evening when I went to pick up my dogs, the price that was given on the phone had now gone up $30, for no apparent reason. At this point I was dealing with a very argumentative lady named Lisa. She was not trying to help, she just kept escalating the situation. I cannot understand how the "manager" would tell the cost as one thing and then when I go in to get my dogs, the price has now gone up. I am still waiting on a call back from the lead doctor at this office. I won't hold my breath. This place is terrible. If you care about your pets, I would recommend staying away. Read Less

DO NOT BRING YOUR LOVED ANIMALS HERE!!! All they care about is your money!!! Brought my dog here on Sunday, who was having very bad seizures since the night before. Quoted me $1400 to do a bunch of tests. Unfortunately, I told the vet that my family is a single income household and we cannot afford to pay this absurd amount of money. I did cough up $300 to run the basic bloodwork tests, etc. Mind you the entire time (4 hours) they had my dog, they did not administer the anti-seizure medication necessary to prevent further damaging seizures from occurring. What blows my mind is that they don't even have the meds on site! Finally, because they were closing at 1pm (Sunday) they called me to tell me to pick up my dog. They advised me to take my dog to an emergency clinic for further treatment. Of course, I am in no position to do this because I can't pay even more money to another vet clinic! Only then did the veterinarian write the prescription that would help my dog. Immediately I drove to the CVS, that is literally in the same parking lot where they are located. How in the world could they not walk over to get the meds blows my mind. Sadly by then it was too little too late. My dog was pretty much a goner at that point. Even though I managed to shove the pill down her throat, she was incapable of standing and peed/pooped on herself the rest of the night. Monday morning I made the tough decision that I had to end her life. Of course I took her to another clinic that actually cares about the well-being of animals, not just $$$.  Dr. Hamilton I truly wish you the very best in life. A simple check back phone call would have been a nice gesture. However, money and time seems to be more important to you. When time was of the essence, you failed miserably. We have been going to Valley Ranch and Dr. Reese & Massey for over 6-7 years. We have never had a bad experience and would recommend them highly. We recently had to put down our 17 year old dog and Dr. Reese was with us the entire way. She gave us our options, gave insight but left the final decision to us which is the was it should be. Dr. Navarro is the kindest I have ever met.  We went through the wringer with our puppy when she decided to be a goat and ate things that agot lodged in her stomach.  She explained what testing needed to be done and why.  She was so compassionate when we were told Zoey would need surgery. Our did needed to be hospitalized for a few days.  Because she needed to have a blood transfusion, we had to transfer Zoey to another hospital.  Dr. Navarro explained what was happening as she held our puppy.  To see her interact with our dog as if it were her own, helped tremendously in feeling confident in her suggestions.  The vet techs were genuinely interested in our dog and even put up with my daily need to see Zoey.  After she was discharged, I took Zoey back to Valley Ranch Animal Hospital to check on a concern for Zoey.  Not only did Dr. Navarro talk to my dog and coo with her, she asked if she could take her in the next room so the vet techs could see her.  when they had last seen her she wss lethargic.  The vet techs clapped and cheered when they saw Zoey.  I know they truly care about my dog at Valley Ranch. It would be like the hospital charging you to stay in the hospital when a loved one was passing. Where is your humanity? Been taking my 2 dogs and 1 cat here for a couple years now. The vets and staff are always very nice, and helpful. Just recently my little chi mix was attacked by another dog,and needed surgery. We are new to the area and needed a vet for our little Jack Russell who had a skin tag that needed to be removed.  We tried one vet here in Henderson and were quoted $870 for the surgery.  Shocked at this price we decided to get a second opinion.  What a relief to meet Dr. Massey at Valley Ranch.  She was so kind and caring.  We ended up getting the surgery done at Valley Ranch for 1/3 the price and Dr. Massey even cleaned Lucy Margaret's teeth while she was under anesthetic.  We will never consider going anywhere else for any of our veterinarian needs.  The entire staff and doctors are just amazing. I've had really good experiences with this vet. I think the pricing here is very fair, the vet treats my dog well, and they are great at getting you in for your appointment. I've even called and had same day appointments. I will say sometimes I feel like the front staff can't be bothered with you or that they are just not confident in answering your questions, but they've always been respectful and patient overall. I just had my dog in there this week to have dental work done. I knew based off of her breath that she was going to need some extractions, so I was prepared for a high bill. I was concerned that they may try to pull more than was necessary, but I feel like they did give me a fair appointment. First off, I like that I can choose to do the blood work. The cost is a lot, and if I could not have afforded it I did have the option to opt out of that $118 cost. I like that I had the option to have X-rays, various medications, and to have a phone call first before they just pulled teeth. They also reassured me that if they could not reach me In case of necessary extractions they would wake my dog up in 10 minutes so she wasn't under that long. My dog did need 6 teeth removed, and I was very concerned that this may not be necessary. After the vet offered to do none of them and have my dog's health risk in my hands, pull some and come back later for the others to help with the bill, or to do it all now and not have to put my dog under again, I did have all extracted at once. When I picked my dog up that night she was groomed and well taken care of. The staff said sweet things about how she was during the day, and the vet sat down beside me to show me the work they did Ina picture and answer all of my 100 questions without giving me any sign of annoyance and nothing but patience for me as a concerned owner. My dog does have some issues with other teeth, but not anything they felt needed to have removed -- just some I need to be aware of for the future and keep watch on. So I am confident they had both mine and my dog's best interest in mind, and I will continue to use this office for my dog's needs. Read Less

From the ladies at the front desk to the vet techs and vets-they are the most caring group of people. We have been with them for so many years. If you are looking for a caring and awesome place you should defiantly make it a point to use them not only as a animal hospital but for boarding. We recently had to have our girl Zoe (that they cared for since a young age, put down and the staff were so caring not only for her but for me. About 4 weeks later We received a sympathy card from Valley Ranch with little notes from each doctor and the staff, brought tears to our eyes. Dr Robin Davis was extremely compassionate and took a lot of time to talk with us about our decision to put our 16 year old kitty to sleep. She helped us feel at ease about the process and our difficult decision. We will definitely be back to see her when we adopt a new pet. Their fees seem lower than other vets in the area. The office was nice and clean. Each time I have called I had pretty long wait times, but if you do get put on hold, let me tell you it is worth the wait of the hold time if you are searching for a vet in the area. Very unhappy about the way we were treated here. When the vet came in the room she didn't introduce herself to us, just took our dog in the back, gave him his shots and practically kicked us out. I have used them for boarding in the past and they would welcome Kali and give full updates on how she behaved when I got back... I love this vet clinic. I live in North Las Vegas and make the drive to this vet's office. My sister was here from out of town with her dogs and her female dog got ill on a Sunday. I called my vet's office and they said bring her in right now and we will see her. They took such good care of her and my sister was very impressed with this clinic. Dr. Kress is the best!!! We just love her and ask for her everytime we need to take the dogs in to be seen. She is great with the dogs and is young and energetic. She loves our dogs and they love her. I had to put my Westie down 9 months or so ago and she was so compassionate and wonderful with him and me. A week or so after he was put down, I got a hand written card from Dr. Kress about how special my dog was and that she was so sorry for my loss. I so appreciated the card very much, it meant a lot to me that she took the time to hand write a card and send it to me. This clinic is caring and wonderful with your animals. This vet has horrible service. When I came the first time, I heard the girl at the front desk complaining to someone who works in the back about all the long days she has worked alone due to not having a second person to help.Secondly, I took my dog here to get his teeth cleaned. When quoted they told me a price of about 170.00 and I was like wow! This is cheap! When I got there the day of the appointment I booked, of course there were all these extra charges they reviewed with me that made the bill go up to 500$. This should have been disclaimed when I called the first time for quotes. Secondly, they asked for a stool sample which I gave them. I also asked them if that would be ok as well for when I bring him back in a couple days to have him boarded and they said yes. As long as the sample was within a 7-10 day period.When I came to drop my dog off, they had all of his shot records, stool sample from his dental surgery. When he was picked up, they "chose" to give him every vaccination under the sky as well as charge me for the stool sample again. When I called to dispute the charge due to their lack of communication with their clients as I feel that any treatments should have been approved by the owner prior. Also, all my shot records were up to date when I dropped him off and they had a copy. When I brought that up, they said they don't recognize the standard length of time that shots are good for. Which, that tells me they rip off all of their customers being their "standards" are more for profitability. Every vet you go to a rabies shot is good for 3 years. This place only recognizes them for 1 year. So they are essentially tripping their profits by making their clients do it years.Poor business practices without any care for their customers and pets they see. DON'T TAKE YOUR PET THERE. I boarded my dog there for 5 days I brought his food and left it with them and told them do not give anything else.  Came back after 5 days the amount of food I gave was the same, he was weak brought him home he was vomiting for 2 days and had diarrhea for a week.  Called Valley Ranch Animal Hospital and told them what happened.  One of the Vet pick up the phone and I told her everything and ask why they did not gave the food I brought.  She said because your dog had diarrhea when he came,  NOT TRUE and I said no he didn't and again asked her why did not give him the food I brought she simply said I DONT KNOW!  A few days later I spoke with the office manager and ask for my money back she was nice apologized and told me she will get back with me in a few days.  NEVER DID I am very unhappy and never go back. If I could select zero stars I would. My experience here was not even close to any of the positive reviews. I spent over $650 to have my cat monitored for one day. The fees this office comes up with are so extraordinarily high that if I felt pressured to pay because I'd do anything in my power to help my pet. Normally I go to a different office but because there was a strong likelihood of an overnight stay, I wanted to make sure that someone was there to check in on him during the night. So I was actually referred to this office. WHAT A MISTAKE! What I don't appreciate is charging someone excessive fees to run blood work and x-rays on an animal. Not to mention the additional excessive fees or one night stay and medication. And then days later I had to follow up with them because they never contacted me with final blood results that were sent out. I will never, EVER go back here, and the veterinarians should all be ashamed of themselves for their business practices. 100% Unethical. Read Less

Walk in or call for appointment, this is one vet office you can rest assured you will be taken care of...kennel service is outstanding if you use for boarding. I have been here 5 or 6 times since my puppy was 8 weeks old. Have gotten all her shots done here and they are great and affordable. I know lots of places charge a visit fee for being seen for shots but valley ranch charges for the shots only. Which are not expensive. My little doxie had an allergic reaction one late night after her 12 week vaccinations  and the doctor met me there and treated her immediately and I did not pay an arm and leg for it & they let me know exactly how they would treat her and comforted me during a worrisome experience. Dr Reese is the best vet I have ever had. She is very knowledgable, kind-hearted and listens carefully to your concerns about your pet. She has been taking excellent care of my two pugs for the past eight years. Whenever I walk my pugs in Discovery Park and chat with another dog walker who uses the same facility (Valley Ranch Animal Hospital, next to Kohls), he or she invariably mentions that Dr Reese is his or her favorite vet, too. I started going here because the location is so convenient for me.  I've taken my dog here 3 times since we've moved here.  The first visit was for his vaccines.  They are so quick and very friendly with my dog.  Trust me, I've been to vets who weren't so gentle and loving as I'd like them to be.  I didn't have to make an appointment and I was still in and out very very quickly.  The second visit was for his nails to be trimmed.   Again, they were so gentle and caring. I didn't have an appointment and was surprised again by how fast I was in and out.  I've sat at veterinary hospitals for over an hour with even making appointments.   This makes me very happy that they respect my time.The third visit was for a consultation on my dogs health.  I saw Dr. Burks for this.  She was so knowledgeable and helpful.  We took xrays to find out he has arthritis.  She was very informative and I would definitely recommend seeing her. (Again, in and out very quickly) I trust this animal hospital with all of my dogs needs. The staff (vets and front desk) are friendly and courteous.  I am so glad they are within minutes of my home! Our dog was very sick when he arrived to see Dr. Reese. After being hospitalized at Valley Ranch Animal Hospital for 2 weeks, and thousands of dollars later, he was even sicker when he left. We went to another vet and they had him diagnosed and treated in 2 days! Dr. Reese and her vets even caused painful complications for my dog that required an additional $3000 in treatment at the new vet, and needless additional suffering for my dog. The doctors at Valley Ranch Animal Hospital are not qualified enough to diagnose or treat anything more than routine care. At one point, they were injecting him with so many expensive medications because they did not know what else to do to treat the cause. Only one of the doctors was very nice to us, and Dr. Reese was just plain arrogant at times. My dog is now in great health with the other vet. Stay away from this place! Read Less
