Great staff!!!! Front desk ppl shouldn’t just do the bare minimum. They are the face of the company they work for. We have been coming here for a few years now, and we love this place! Both of our dogs are treated so well while they are here. The staff truly love what they do and take good care of us and take great care of our furry children. We have been going here since 2007 and they always surpass our expectations. Our latest visit involved surgery to remove 9 of our dog's teeth, and their estimate ranged. Although I was prepared to pay over $1,100, to have all the teeth removed, they were able to save most of them and only remove the really bad ones. And ended up costing me under 700. Which was lower than the low end of their estimate. I was pleasantly surprised and as always Dr. Jamie the whole staff treated Bailey our dog like their own. We will never go anywhere else. I've been taking my cats (and at one time a parrot - don't have her any more) here for years.  The doctors are all great and the vet techs are all great.  Have had a couple of minor errors done by the front desk staff over the years (didn't enter an appointment into their system and their reminder system needs to be upgraded a bit), but I love this place.  I can't imagine taking my cat any place else. What a caring staff...From the minute we walked in with our fur baby the staff was extremely caring.The two receptionist helped for our walk-in. They were all booked up in the morning but they were able to work us in between appointments.Easy paperwork to fill out which always makes me happy. We only waited about 25 minutes until we were seen by the nurse. She was good, had tons of questions to help understand the problem.Doctor came in a few moments later, quick with helping our fur baby which was so great and she was so caring. Thanks dr. I had a hamster that was loosing hair and couldn't find a good vet that saw hamsters. Most vets say the do exotics but not always hamsters. I had tried another exotic vet before and was loosing hope before I found aloha. I came to aloha and saw Dr.Jason who was so knowledgeable and knew what he was talking about and wanted to see my little girl get better just like I did! We found an injured baby dove in our backyard and didn't know what to do. Our vet referred us to Aloha Animal Hospital and they were wonderful!!! We surrendered the dove to their care not knowing what was wrong (and not wanting a wild bird as a pet) -- we just asked that they call us if/when she was fit to be released to the wild, we wanted to let her go in our yard so she could maybe find her dove family. Ann and the team rehabilitated the baby bird and we put her back in our yard for a successful family reunion. I discovered this vet on Yelp and the great reviews led me to make an appointment for our fuzzy family member Jacob (a ferret). I could not have been more pleased with my choice in visiting a vet who specializes in the care of exotics. I took Jacob in for a routine (I thought) exam for a health certificate for travel...and found that his loss of hair (which I had thought was a seasonal thing) was from him having insulinoma...the same cancer which (inexplicably and without warning) killed Jacob's brother (Edward) two years ago. Jacob had entirely different symptoms...but the same disease which, if not caught, can be fatal in even young ferrets (as we found out with Edward).Jacob received an implant under his skin (to slow the growth of tumors) and will be on prednisone for the rest of his life...but he is now happy and healthy (as much as is possible, anyway) due to my having taken Jacob in...and due to the expert care he received whilst there.You could not choose a better vet in all of Las Vegas. Dr. Anne Beckes is wonderful. Very passionate for her job. She truly cares about your pet, and is extremely sensitive and knowledgeable. The entire staff Amy , Patty and the veterinary technician with a lovely hair colors (I think her name is Ashley ) at Aloha Animal Hospital are kind and efficient. They are also very sympathetic. This review is long overdue but I wanted to thank Dr. Jason and his team, at Aloha Animal Hospital, from the bottom of my heart. They guided, supported and helped me through one of the worst moments of my life. Long story short, my 8 year old dog, Hercules, ended up getting sick and about a month ago I had to put him down. He was my very first dog so everything was new to me. His first 2 years, we bounced from Vet to Vet because I couldn't find one that myself or Hercules liked. A friend finally recommended Aloha Animal Hospital and I am so glad they did. The staff is always friendly and accommodating but most importantly Hercules always felt safe there. People were typically afraid of Hercules because he was a 90 pound Rottie mix. But not once did Dr. Jason hesitate when examining him. Hercules wasn't a big fan of the Vet but to ease his nerves, during every visit, Dr. Jason would sit on the floor and let Hercules give him kisses. I am so grateful for the staff at Aloha Animal Hospital but mostly Dr. Jason. Thank you! My dog needed his vaccines done, but I didn't want to go back to Banfield because of the whole having to repurchase their insurance for my dog even though he only goes 2 times a year. Since my roommates two frenchies go here I thought why not give it a try. The staff was very friendly and made it seem like Ryu (my dog) was not just another dog but part of their family. We of course got there early to sign new patient paperwork and their lobby was a bit small but clean. Something that I really liked was that the front staff got his records right away and explained all the vaccines to me and even said he was getting one vaccine that he did not need. Also, since it was one of the vaccines season I got a discount for one of them which was very nice. They also offered me to get him microchipped which I had asked Banfield about it before but never got it done or was ever given any info on the price or anything. We were seen not long after returning the papers to the staff members up front and the vet tech who took us into our room was very friendly. Ryu did snap at her when she checked his teeth, but I guess that's something I would expect if I didn't ask the owner if their dog bites. She was still very professional and friendly after that incident and the doctor came in not too long after that. The doctor was very friendly and explained what she was going to do and greeted Ryu with a big smile. The following day the recitpionist called to tell me the results of some testing he had done. Overall, I am happy that I switched from Banfield and so far the staff and doctor really makes me feel like they care for my pet. Read Less

I've taken my two baby bunnies here since they were six weeks old. Dr Jason and his wife Dr Jamie are two of the best in the entire Las Vegas area, and honestly, I've lived in a few places in Southern California and I'd say the best out of there too. Dr Jason has been around for most my appointments, (with my bunnies, I'd only ask for them) eloquently explaining their wellness progress, what treatments we should take for my babies, and how we should go about them. Buffalo, my lionhead, has had some fatty deposits we were worried about, and Dr Jason has taken his time to explain everything to me, even calls me when I am unsure of something; I've even been emailed back when I thought something looked suspicious after my bunnies got fixed and took a picture so I didn't have to come in. They have diligently treated Buffalo with care, to the point I don't worry when my babies are in the back room with them. Buffalo is my small, sensitive, anxiety provoked, temperamental little dude, so it's nice to be able to not worry about him when we're away from home and he's scared at the vet. After his bump came back, Dr Jason evaluated it and told me how great it was for me to catch it. After the exam, he told me since this was Buffalo's first time back and he had a repetitive bump return, it was a follow up visit and I wouldn't be charged. So considerate and aware of customer care. Always making you feel like you're a great pet mom with reassurance of your efforts towards your pet children. One thing that struck my fancy and made this office real, down to earth, not pretentious and a trusted place I'd never leave: I let my pets walk around the exam room, and I sit on the floor to interact with them and calm their nerves. Dr Jason saw this for the first time with me once, and joined us, SUIT AND ALL, on the tile floor. He continued to exam, diagnose and explain treatment with me, all while sitting on the floor next to us. I was not only impressed, I felt welcomed and like a family friend, not a customer. You don't see this often with businesses and thus, this doesn't feel like a business, it feels like a place I take my animals to be well. This past Easter weekend on Good Friday, my patient docile little dude Muggsy, had a sudden health complication and passed within 5 minutes of finding him in his cage. Heartbroken, bitchy and irritated as hell, the staff has been more than understanding and patient with the mess that is myself. The phone calls, the bawling my eyes out in their office when leaving him behind, the asking for someone to call me to try to explain what could have possibly happened, and the frantic parent questions of "what could I have done?", "what did I do wrong?" and of course, "was I not a good parent and didn't notice something?". Dr Jason took at least 10-15 minutes with me on the phone listening to what happened and helped me out with understanding his symptoms and making me feel as best as possible considering the recent events. When I brought Muggsy in for his final trip to Aloha, the staff was very professional and guided me to a room without hesitation so my inconsolable ass could be in privacy. When you're this upset, I struggled even making sense, luckily my husband was there to help, but the staff was very comforting, very understanding and took care of my little man, from his first visit, to his last. I wouldn't have taken him elsewhere. I'm not sure of the name of the woman who helped me that day as I was a puddle of myself, but she was very sweet and tried her very best to comfort me with words and tell me I did my best and there was nothing I could do. I needed that. I had been sitting around sobbing thinking I should have picked him up and pet him when he came out to play outside the cage! You just don't know with our little ones, and they gave me the most reassurance that I did all I could have done and that helped the most. They made the grieving process a lot easier on me. If you are looking for a veterinarian that can be there for the lifetime of your pet, with knowledge from day one, to surgeries, to helping us get our fat cat on a diet and finally to a vet after 7 years of not going with the hubby, this is the place. I have never felt so welcome, so taken care of, and so understood, when I'm even having an off day or my loving pet passed. Wonderful staff, wonderful environment, and an endearing promise to care for your pet to the very end, and the beginning of the Rainbow Bridge. GO TO ALOHA ANIMAL HOSPITAL, you will not regret it! I absolutely love Aloha! I feel like I'm always here (my dog has been a little high maintenance lately!) and I'm never disappointed by them! I've seen almost all the vets in the office and they are all so kind, I have never felt pressured into any unnecessary treatments or diagnostics. Needing a new vet for my new mut and yelp pointed me to this Gem. 1) the chocolates are amazing they gave me  - I have to go to the strip / ABC stores to get those hoodies.2) They treat Morty so nice, he's an anxious mut and most def can be over excited once he's calmed down.3) they followed up the next day to check on vaccines and see how he reacted.4) Dr. Didn't make me chase her down to get the quote to remove the tumor on his leg. You can never be too cautious when trying to find the right vet for your fur baby, and even though Aloha Animal Hospital is a little further than I hoped to travel I'm definitely glad I did.  Dr. Jamie and all the front office staff are always very nice and give my Biggie all the loving and attention he could ever want and need!!  Prices are reasonable and lets be honest who puts a price tag on their loved ones care.  Dr. Jamie will always listen to what you have to say and allow you to ask as many questions as you possibly need to make sure that you feel comfortable with the treatment or any decisions that are made.  I will always choose Aloha Animal Hospital for all of our pets!! If I could rate this place zero stars I would. I had called on Friday about coming in to see my guinea pig whom wasn't feeling well that Friday morning. The woman on the phone told me that they were fully booked (Saturday) but that if I come in at open I could maybe have my wait time brought down a little. So I told her ok. I go in on Saturday morning, as soon as I walk in three woman were at the reception desk. I told them I didn't have an appointment .. all of them said NO. I explained that I had called in the morning and they had told me I could come in early and wait. One lady tells me "you can wait but idk how long the wait is." Other lady said "we are double booked." Not one lady got up to ask the vet, not one lady asked what was wrong, not one lady lifted a finger, NOTHING! I almost got the impression that they didn't want me to wait at all.They gave me a number to another hospital that accepts guinea pigs.. well I called around, no one was accepting only by app. Well on my way home, my pet passed away. I was very upset at the situation because I could have been assisted better. Why work at a pet hospital if you're not going to help? It's a hospital for a reason! People are off Saturdays! So, being "double booked" is not an excuse! Read Less

(This is gonna be a long one but I hope fellow rat owners might see this!)I've had rats for years and it can sometimes be difficult finding an experienced vet who cares for small rodents. I was recommended this animal hospital for my poor hairless boy Chernobyl, who had a nasty eye infection that was rapidly getting worse.They got me in at their earliest appointment, and when I got there, everyone was welcoming and compassionate! Dr. Kolmstetter was my vet and she was very kind and informative about how we would go about helping him. She tried her best to see if we could save his eye, but we decided it would be best for him to get an enucleation (eye removal surgery) and gave me helpful tips on how to keep his other eye healthy and clean! She also reassured me that she had done this operation many times before, particularly on hairless rats.Cherno is doing well now and seems to be healing just fine! The exam, surgery, and medication cost a total of $365 which wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be (plus she filed down his overgrown teeth and gave him a lil cleaning!) so I was relieved about that!You can even email them pictures and updates on how your pets are doing to make sure they're healing properly and if they need to come in for a checkup.Definitely recommend this vet for fellow rat owners living in Vegas! I saw several other people there with dogs, cats, and even a chipmunk! Staff was cheerful and accommodating, other customers were happy and comfortable, overall.. love this animal hospital! I have brought in several rabbits and always had the pleasure of seeing Dr Jaimie who has always went above and beyond for me! Today I had an emergency with 3 newborns and was turned down at every vet (even here) and while they were fully booked and in surgeries They allowed me to bring them in and someone would see them... A few hours later Dr Jason called and explained everything he did and why.. He also gave me advice on ways I could improve and said he would call to check in On me and the babies! I was very nervous to go and pick them up but my bill was beyond resaonable and I felt very confident that he did everything right! He treated me with respect and compassion and let me ask many questions without making me feel stupid for asking! Dr Jaimie & Dr Jason are 2 vets I would recommend over and over again! I'm giving 5 starts because they deserve it! My only issue is the receptionists on the phone and in person can be very rude and condensing (this has happened more then once) This doesn't apply to Erin (lover her) or the male (love him) they are both very kind and always make me smile and offer to help me with my load of buns! I love Aloha Animal Hospital. My lab shepherd mix rescue dog Rory is a patient and my mom's cat Whiskers is also a patient. The doctors and vet assists are lovely and caring. They take their time gaining the trust of our animals and treat them with love and patience. Dr Abella even sits on the floor with Rory after his exams and gives him a good boy ear scratch while he explains results and treatment plans. The staff is courteous, respectful of our pups needs and treat them with care. I've been going to this place for almost 2 years. The first year no problem with the service. When my dog had a sudden knee problem and needed a vet ASAP I went to another vet because the other vet was able to book me the next day and this place didn't have a vet ava until the next week. After my dog knee was treated. I've been getting really bad service/attitude from the receptionist at this place. I believe when the other vet call this place to get med records they probably got the idea I was going to leave to go to that place. The customer service from the receptionist at this place got so bad and unprofessional I am planning leave this place. The vets and vet assistant are great just can't deal with the receptionist. DO NOT GO HERE! If you love your pets and you would like for them to remain alive then I highly, very strongly suggest you go elsewhere. Doctor Jason is a complete FRAUD. No proof of a DVM degree. This means he should not be treating your animals, no matter what species. A Vet-Tech probably knows more than he does. Let me explain, he is the owner, so no one hired him. No one checked his credentials. He is fooling the public and pretending to be a degree holding vet when the case is that he is not. Dr. Jason kills innocent animals, refuses to look into treatment options (and no this was not a case about $, the ability to pay in full on the day of service was not an issue at all). Dr. Jason must enjoy putting animals to sleep because he lies to patients and tells them their pet has something wrong that is fatal and untreatable tricking them into believing that the best thing to do is to put them to sleep. The truth is that he is an animal murderer. Please do consider going somewhere else, go to someone who is actually a degree holding vet. Go to someone who cares about the LIVES of animals and not their moment of DEATH. Horrible service from Dr. Jason... he should be jailed for his cruelty to animals.Read Less
