What an awesome place to take your 4-legged loved one. My dog has had some not-so-nice experiences with vets in the past. When he walks in for an appointment, he literally begins to tremble. But, the staff at Boca Park Animal Hospital are so kind that my dog actually stopped trembling when they were talking to him and giving him his check up. Are you tired of vets claiming to "care" about your pet but in reality, they have both hands in your pocket and care less about your pet? Well, Boca Park Animal Hospital will renew your faith in what a pet hospital should be. THEY ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT YOUR PET AND YOU. My first interaction was with the office manager, Jody who could not have been more helpful getting me and my service animal in there immediately. Then there were Kim and Kat at the front desk (think of the Sweeney sisters on SNL in the 80's!). Again, could not have been nicer. Once in the exam room there was nurse Oneida and a new trainee Paula. Both could not have been more professional and caring. Oneida took care of everything from the moment we were in the exam room until we left. Can't say enough about the new doc, Dr. Daigle. First class all the way. She is the type of doctor you would want for your own doctor! You just get the feeling she knows the difference between an apple and an orange where most don't. Total confidence she knows her stuff! I stopped in here last year with my dog while in town visiting my family. Now I don’t write many reviews but I had the right one because the people I met. The vet nurse Veronica was incredibly friendly and helpful and gave us great information. Justin gave us a tour and really made us feel at home. I think with separates this place from the usual that experience is the people and how they make you feel. There’s no better example of that and Veronica and Justin! Dr. Ensign had to do an enucleation surgery on our Cairn terrier Annie. Not being from NV we did not know where to go. So happy we found him. He was the best and so caring. He took awesome care of our girl. That surgery is never an easy one and he made us feel so comfortable and did an outstanding job.Read Less

Before I took my dog in I asked for a quote they quoted me $68 so I transferred $80 and my husband took him. They ended up charging $120 and over drafted my account now I also have to pay that over draft and Jodi the manager says she can't do anything about it. At my office when we miss quote someone we admit our mistakes and fix it. I guess their customer service isn't all that great after all. Disappointed. Read Less

I called in the morning worried about my dog, they fit us into their busy schedule no problem. My mom and I were really pleased with the whole staff and how helpful they were. They knew exactly what to look for. They took such good care of my dog, she was happy to be there and was loving on the staff (I've never seen my dog so happy at the vet!). The doctors here are all excellent. Dr Hill took such good care of our kitties a few weeks ago, one ill and one difficult to manage, that we can't begin to thank her. The staff at Boca Park Animal Hospital is amazing -- everyone we've encountered has been kind, professional, and super caring. The boarding facilities are wonderful for our older pup, with convenient hours for drop off and pick up. Also, the Veterinary professionals have provided thoughtful and proactive care for our pup, who has spent a good bit of time there since we've moved to the neighborhood. I love the doctors and nurses here, but their front desk staff is not always customer friendly. I just called on a Sunday morning when they first opened, and had to leave a message. After 40 minutes, no one had returned my call, so I called again. I told the receptionist that my cat had not taken any food or drink for 2 days and was vomiting bile several times a day. The first thing she said was that she didn't think there were any openings today. I said I would really like to get him in today, and she said I might have to pay an emergency walk-in fee. I I said, well, just let me know when you can get me in. She said "That's what I was trying to do". Not exactly the way to deal with a stressed parent. I hope Dr. Ensign will read this review and take steps to better train his front-line staff, as they can make or break a business. Read Less

Our baby Logan recently had a cough that we were overly worried about being new fur parents and all. We needed to find a nearby vet to make our standard office and after seeing all of the other great Yelp reviews we came here.Our first visit was with nurse Raquel and Dr. Hill. They both were super helpful and friendly! They gave us all the tips we needed to know on being new puppy parents and made us feel really secure. They really went above and beyond with making sure our baby was healthy and happy.I'm glad we found this office and love how friendly the entire staff is. How about NO STAR?!? That's how upset/disappointed I am! I've been bringing our two female French Bulldog puppies (they are sisters) since they were 8 weeks old. They have been to the veterinarian side and the boarding side. (Prior to this experience, I thought they were great) Clean facility, friendly and knowledgeable staff, I felt very comfortable bring our puppies here. That all changed on May 20, 2017. I'm very disappointed, hurt and mad. I don't want other animals and animal owners to be treated poorly. So I believe I am doing the right thing by posting this review. The incident took place while my Husband and I were on our 10 year wedding anniversary trip in Hawaii where we were renewing our wedding vows. On May 20, 2017, On our special day,  my husband and I were in a massage. After our massage apt, I came out with a very long voicemail left by Dr. Gibson that was 2 mins long. (Which under the circumstances of what I'm about to explain happened, I don't think a voicemail was appropriate regarding the details should have been left, but rather wait till I called back to explain. Immediately I panicked, which I'm sure would be any animal owner would. When we left our puppies in Boca Parks Animal Hospitals care, they were going to be spayed and we were assured they would be very well taken care of and closely monitored while in boarding. So, I immediately thought something happened regarding their surgery! When I listened to the message, I gasped! My husband asked what had happened? I immediately called Boca Park as soon as I got the message! I was so worried about our puppies! I responded to by husband by a panic yell that Boca Park left me a message saying the puppies ate all their medicine & they had to pump their stomaches!!! We were both in disbelief! Dr. Gibson got on the phone and I could tell she was uncomfortable and it seemed like she wanted to rush me off the phone. She kept talking very quickly and really left me uncomfortable, in disbelief and in shock!. She assured me that they are now Ok, but they had jumped up inside their mini suite and ate all of their medication. I said our puppies jumped up and got their medication? How is that possible?? She said in the suites they have a ledge were they keep all the dogs belongings and it was on the shelf and they jumped up and knocked it down and consumed all their medication! She had to call poison control for them to advise her what to do!!! Are you kidding me?? (When they are left home alone they are left in a play pen that leads to the side of the house with a dog run! They never have ever jumped over it!) So how in the heck did they jump up and get their medicine is beyond belief! They are little 12lb frenchies! She explained because this happened with our puppies, they have now changed their policies and procedures and the owner was informed! She said they they caught it very quickly and wanted us to know that they pumped their stomaches to get all the medication out. Now mind you this was right after their spay surgery!! My poor puppies!!!! To think they went into surgery and the next day their poor stomachs were pumped!!! I felt so awful!! And there was nothing we could do about it! As previously stated, It was the day of our 10 year anniversary and we were renewing our Vows, we had to deal with the situation later. My husband called the next day to get clarification and more details on the situation, as he too was in disbelief and wanted to hear it from himself.  He spoke with Dr. Gibson and she told my husband "if your wife listened to her voicemail, she would know that we offered to compensate their boarding stay with us and medication." I thought to myself, Did I miss that mist all the other information she had left me? Clearly I'd remember that!! My husband and I listen to my voicemail and that was never mentioned!!! As that was enough? Comping us for their stay? Seriously? She also told my husband there could be complications with their GI in the future but it's hard to say and that Boca Park Animal hospital will also cover any GI problems for up to 6 months. When we returned from our trip May 27 My husband picked up our puppies we had a bill for over $1,000 which for the spay we were quoted $380 each. My husband was told he had to pay the bill (It was a Saturday) and the receptionist at the front had no authority to adjust charges and he had to come back or call to address the issue. My husband said I just wanted to get our puppies & out of there! So he paid the bill and left. I asked my husband to get a copy saying they will take responsibility and cover anything wrong with them should anything arise. The receptionist said in the computer it was only noted they will cover for 30 days!!! So very disappointing! Never in my life have I been so afraid of an animals life and in the care of professionals!!!!! I would NEVER RECOMMEND Boca Park Animal Hospital unless you want to worry about your pets! Read Less

I can't speak to the veterinary services here because we use Boca Park for boarding our dogs only. I can say that their boarding services are amazing, though!Our two (smaller) dogs share a Mini Suite and we make sure they get designated play time each day (which is at an additional cost). The staff clearly love their jobs and love animals. Everyone has been a pleasure to work with. Our dogs come back from their boarding time here happy, not overly tired or thirsty, and freshly bathed by the staff before pick-up!The facility is spotless, doesn't smell (which has been a huge issue at several other places we have boarded at), and they collect extensive information about your pet(s) before each and every drop-off.We have also had one of our dogs groomed here during his stay and the groomer did a phenomenal job with his haircut! I just move to Las Vegas This place was recommended to me, when I call to schedule appointment for my cat who is not in great condition all vas nice and fine...but when he get sick I have know only them... I call and they didn't want to take care of my cat he was so sick poor baby,.. to them he is not person is just business who cares that he was emergency, but they didn't know I have more animals and they lost huge business. I don't know how else I can say how appreciative I am of this vet. We found Boca Park Animal Hospital being referred through Doberman Rescue NV. Our beautiful dobbie dog Bowser had eaten a corn cob and it clogged his intestine. He needed immediate surgery and we had a difficult time finding a vet to do this. Well guess what, first call to Boca and they had us in there within the hour. All I can say is Dr. Gibson is absolutely the best veterinarian I have ever met. Her knowled...ge and experience just astounds me. Easy to talk to and she even texted us after surgery and called. They did this surgery after hours when they were closing! I couldn't believe it. And we were a first time patient. Our nurse was Raquel.. I believe that's how it is spelled, was just as amazing. Dr. Gibson, please know from me and my fiancé, not only do you have a customer for life, but we will be singing your praises to all of our friends in Summerlin and throughout Las Vegas. This place is the best. All of the staff has been unbelievably helpful, knowledgeable, and compassionate with our pets. Recently, we attended a birthday party here for Boomer. He is one of our puppy's playmates at daycare. Justin Willard, the daycare manager organized the party and everything was great. Many of the other dogs that play together at daycare were there. They all had a ball. And, Boca provided dog friendly treats. What a great idea. Lots of fun in a safe environment. Our dog, Murphy will be 1 year old next month. I'm so glad I found BPAH. After visits to two other Animal Hospitals I felt that Dr. Gibson was the most understanding and compassionate. She treated my English Cream Golden Retriever like her own and I knew she did her best with a very difficult scenario. Never once did I feel judged, put off, or conned with unnecessary procedures. She was so great with follow up calls, explanations, and keeping me posted at all times when needed. Although our end result was a sad one, I always knew she had our best interest in mind. I will definitely come back to BPAH when we get a new Puppy. Love the support staff there too. Really that's what makes all the difference when your sobbing in the waiting room, and they can treat you with understanding and compassion. I got to meet the new Doc on the block, Dr. Gibson. What a perfect addition to this already perfect practice. I didn't feel rushed and Dr Gibson was so compassionate and thorough. Words can't express how absolutely WONDERFUL and COMPASSIONATE the staff are here--not just with the animals--but with humans too! We have a newly diagnosed cat with diabetes and we switched to Boca Park from another vet. We were referred here by good friends, and we are clients for life. Dr. Gibson took almost 2 hours explaining what to do and how to take care of her, and loves our kitty as much as we do. She answered our questions, helped calm our concerns, and made us feel like we could really do this! Beverly and Katheryn and Jody were so patient and kind to us--and when we left Harmony there for monitoring, I knew she was in good hands. Kim is so polite and helpful--she helped us get set up with the online pharmacy. Thank you to all of the staff who helped us through this process! They refused to care for my dog because he has anxiety based aggression. He can be muzzled, and yet they still refused care. I have 2 other dogs in the same house who are very well behaved, just as he is when he isn't at a vet office...He was adopted, so I don't know his full history or reason for the high anxiety...what I do know is vets should want to help any animal in need of care, not just the ones they choose to help. I just got my puppy Amelia a few months ago and BPAH has been such a great resource for questions on training, boarding and getting her up to date on her shots. Amelia was shy when I first got her but her favorite person in the whole world (besides me) is Justin her Vet Tech. She gets SO excited to see him, and he is great with her. Their puppy visits are an awesome program where your new puppy can get dropped off for an hour to get to know/play with the staff so the dog does not associate going to the vet as a bad experience. Its worked wonders on Amelia's socialization and I can't recommend BPAH enough! Read Less

Staff doesn't know what they are doing. I called 2 times to find out how to sign up for doggy day care. And 2 times received different info. After kennel cough vaccine and fecal exam I was told that my dog is suppose to be neutered. And I was taking my dog to their animal hospital since he was a puppy so they have ALL medical records. This is my first time bringing my boy Bruno to BPAH and I had a great experience from the beginning to the end when I picked up my boy. From the front desk to the people in the back taking care of him. Kim, Kelin and Wyatt were very friendly and I would definitely bring him back here again. The only thing I would recommend is to give me a run down of what he did every day on his stay (how he did with other dogs or if he made any friends and was he shy or friendly with other care takers). I feel like we received the best care and I trust Dr. Ensign with all his knowledge. My husky, Bear loves the staff at Boca Park Animal Hospital. A friend of mine recommended Boca Park to me for boarding. I have used them twice for Bear and each time they did a great job taking care of him. He had a VIP suite and lots of TLC. The grooming service also did a great job too. I am very happy with the overall service and care they provide all their patients! I switched from Town Center Animal Hospital to Boca Park due to the fact the staff and service were just superior. This could be a first chapter of a great novel but I will keep it to Cliffs notes. We live in Arizona and myself and my labradoodle, Cookie were on oaur way ro Vegas to visit my daughter. Somethi.g happen ed on the way and Cookie couldn't stand. I knew my daughter had a very compasaionate team at her vet so I called and they were willing to accept Cookies on our arrival. We were greatest calmly and yet with purpose. After carrying Cookie I to a room a team invluding the Dr rallied quickly around. Well Cookie needed to stay, x-rays, bloodwork etc. The next say i was giving options, try therapy and see or do nothing. Within one day I knew. I went in that afternoon and laid with her for hours. We both knew it was the end of love as we knew it. She stayed one more night as we waited for daddy to fly in. Thursday came and we went in to be with her as she transitioned to doggie heaven. This staff was supportive e and never pushy, compasaionate but realistic, they all belong in this career! I truly believe I'd I walked in to Boca a year from now they would remember Cookie, my sweet sweet girl. The staff at Boca took excellent care of my elderly shihtzu, Sally Sprinkles. At her seasoned age of 14, I was reluctant to have gland surgery done on my little frou-frou, but Dr Ensign and staff assured me that my beloved baby wuld sail through, and be better off for having it done.
