Centennial Hills Animal Hospital Lara Stooksbury Dvm

Las Vegas, Nevada
General Info
The residents of Las Vegas depend on Centennial Hills Animal Hospital Lara Stooksbury Dvm for veterinary programs that focus on joint health breed-specific care and scheduled rechecks adjusted for Nevada's lifestyle and weather conditions. The appointment initiates with inquiries regarding daily movement patterns including climbing activity rest position jump tolerance fatigue levels and social behavior. The head-to-tail examination process involves assessing an animal's weight alongside orthopedic symmetry while evaluating range of motion, coat health, breathing comfort, and both oral condition and sensory response. Veterinary professionals evaluate breed-specific vulnerabilities including hip dysplasia, spinal disorders, allergies, and overheating tendencies through examination of pet historical records and physical indicators. Centennial Hills Animal Hospital Lara Stooksbury Dvm provides an array of services including vaccine programs lab work lameness checks nutritional coaching dental exams and pain evaluations. The necessity to recheck timing emerges from seasonal disease exacerbations combined with breed-specific vulnerabilities—illustrated by winter stiffness in larger dogs, spring pollen-induced flare-ups, and heat-sensitive breeds experiencing exercise intolerance. The planning process might encompass age-stage modifications alongside proposals for activity-based conditioning. Visit reports delivered to each family include detailed home-based adjustments such as traction tips and harness types along with temperature awareness and weight targets combined with monitoring notes. The return timelines adjust based on athletic milestones along with recovery tracking and weather-responsive planning for pets with arthritis or those aging. Centennial Hills Animal Hospital Lara Stooksbury Dvm provides pet owners in Las Vegas and nearby Nevada areas with an intricate health management framework shaped by movement, timing, and breed awareness.

Kudos to the staff at CENTENNIAL HILLS ANIMAL HOSPITAL! When my beloved puggle Geisha got into the garbage and ingested a whole pineapple rind and discarded core she was miserable and bloated. After x rays revealed she was in danger of her stomach twisting resulting in death, the wonderful vet, who's name escapes me, acted quickly and administered the necessary treatment thus saving her life. I highly recommend and thank her from the bottom of my heart. Geisha and her very worried "sister", Ariel thank her too. Our family is safe and intact. Good bless Centennial Hills Animal Hospital. I cannot say enough good things about Centennial Hills Animal Hospital, their Veterinarians and their staff!!! I've been taking my animals there since they opened and they have provided excellent care to them and saved my chihuahua's life 14 years ago when he was a puppy! Omar got pneumonia and they were not yet equipped for overnight hospitalizations so the Vet took my puppy home with him and monitored him overnight while he was on IV fluids and antibiotics! Who else would do that??? They also helped me with Omar during his 4 and 1/2 years of diabetes, severe arthritis and a heart condition! I had to board my 3 dogs in May for 3 days and I wanted them in a kennel together. Due to Omar's fragile health, they put all 3 of my dogs in a kennel in the Vet Tech area for special care pets where they had Vet Techs monitoring them 24/7! Sadly, on July 7th, Omar's little body couldn't take anymore (he went downhill very quickly). Dr. Ana Guzman helped me make the decision and couldn't have been more loving and compassionate! All of the staff was the same way, I never felt so much love from an animal hospital! We went through the same thing with my Sassy 4 years ago and Dr. VanderLind was just as compassionate! Luckily I still have my 10 year old chihuahua, Taco, and I would never trust him with anyone else except the loving staff and Vet's at Centennial Hills!!!Read Less

I give 5 stars to Dr. Vanderlind...He is the best vet in this city. I started with Centennial Hills back in 2003 and am still with them now 13 years later, all because of Dr. Vanderlind. He has taken personal care of my kitties and has always been straight forward and honest when it comes to their care. He has established a relationship with my crew of kitties and myself. He takes the time to talk things through with me. I've made some hard decisions when letting go of my pets, but Dr. V has made that very sad process a little bit less stressful. Merica and Linda are also the best and they work with me when I need a little extra care. Thank you Dr. V, you are the BEST! Read Less

When my 8 week old puppy got bit by our older dog while playing, I took the pup to CHAH. His nose was bleeding on top, and coming out through his nostrils. He was treated great (like the 8 week old, 20 lb puppy he was!) and all of my concerns were addressed. He had two stitches and came home a few hours after we brought him in. During his recovery, he developed an abscess, and the vet saw him after hours and again a few days after that to drain it, did not charge us. I recommend this vet to everyone!
