We are from out of state and were visiting Las Vegas when we had the need for a veterinarian's services. I could not be more pleased with Dr. Verma, Austi, Brittany, and the rest of the staff we encountered! We were able to get in within a few hours of my call. Dr. Verma is such a kind and compassionate man. He showed concern not just about my Macey's injuries, but also the anxiety she showed while being in the exam area and made thoughtful recommendations for me to follow up with my vet at home. I was impressed with not just his knowledge and concern for my girl's health to undergo sedation, but also with the simple act of asking his tech to get Macey a bowl of water. Such a small gesture, yet it spoke volumes to me and gave me a glimpse into his heart and love for animals. Austi is an amazing tech! I have seen many over my years of having pets, and she was one of the best I've seen! She is also a very caring person, yet very thorough in her instructions and explanations of treatments and medications, making sure that I understood what I was to do when at "home." It would be easy to just hand out a discharge paper with instructions to follow, but that is obviously not the practice they follow at this hospital. I felt very comfortable with the treatments and care that was given, as well as the very reasonable pricing, and would most definitely visit this practice again should the need arise the next time I am in Las Vegas. I highly recommend Companion Animal Hospital, the doctors and staff are excellent. It is very obvious this business is run by a compassionate group of people who want the best for your animals. **DO NOT BOARD HERE**  I have been taking both my pit bulls here for almost 3 years now. I have definitely had moments where I have questioned what the vet has told me. I have seen many different vets here too, and all of them are a little iffy. Not sure why I have stayed this long, probably because my dogs are known here, and we only go for vaccines and boarding when needed. This is our 3rd time boarding. The first two times were ok. However this time, my dogs have been home for 2 days now, and very despondent, very scared of even their own dog bowls, just me walking around a corner of the house, scares them. They both have not eaten since I picked them up 2 days ago, so I have been giving them table top food, however they are very nervous to come close to us. Mind you these are dogs that run the house, they eat everything in site, the always sleep on the corner of the couch (and now they won't go  lay down there) My one pit bull is a super super cuddle bug, she sleeps in bed with us.. and since she has been home, she is scared to jump on the bed. I tried to get her to get on the bed by patting the mattress to get her attention, she got so scared of the pat on the bed, she pee'd everywhere. I feel so helpless for my dogs. And I hope whatever they didn't to my dogs, that they will overcome the abuse they endured while at this place.. never again will I go there Read Less

Took our 2 pugs and Biewer Yorkie ,Sammy, Frankie,and Scotty, to this resort. Visiting from California to attend a funeral, and had to bring our dogs  last minute, and found this place. After picking them up from an overnight stay, it seemed they were happy! And thanks Trish for calling us when you were concerned about our dog, as we forgot to mention he gets stressed during bathing. This place was recommended to me and I am grateful they did. The facility was clean and spacious as well as easy to find.  Staff was friendly and helpful. How do I start, man this place was nothing but great. I would sit here and lie if I left out that I was a bit skeptical of the place. Not because I knew something about this place but only because I am very attached to my dogs, and you hear horror story's from boarding places. When I arrived they had their door locks and that automatically won me over. They have this place very secure to ensure the safety of the dogs. When you walk in everyone treats you with so much enthusiasm and are very polite and immediately FOCUS on making the dogs feel welcome and safe. At pick up my dogs where damn happy and man that just made my trip better. We are definitely coming back feeling more at peace that this place is here. My little rugrat loves it here. He's only stayed one time due to camp bow wow  being over booked. But that turned out to be a blessing! This animal hospital is great. They helped me make my elderly dog, Sammy, comfortable and didn't pressure me for expensive tests. When it was his time, they were compassionate and caring. Let me start by saying how incredibly satisfied I am with LV Dog, and their staff! I have been coming here for quite awhile, and Bella just loves it here! As soon as we pull in the parking lot Bella knows exactly where we are. My baby has a rare skin allergy which requires meds taken daily. I trust this place because I've never had an incident where I thought she was being neglected or not received her meds. (I know this because she'd be covered in hot spots/ rashes.) Whenever I drop her off she is so happy to see the staff and all the other babies. Her reaction is what makes me so comfortable leaving her. Other things I love about this place is it's always clean! I love their SUITES. (No small cages, an ACTUAL ROOM) I love the fact that their play areas are indoor. This is by far, the best place to board your pets in Vegas. I've been coming here for a long time now and I've always been very happy with LV Dog Resort. My dogs always come home clean and I can tell they have been well cared for. Both of my dogs require medication and the staff administers their meds correctly every time. I can leave my dogs with them and know I don't have to worry about anything. My dogs are my babies and that's why its so important that when i board them, I know I won't have any concerns. The absolute best! We just got a new puppy and brought him here to see Dr. Verma and no joke, he spent 1 hour with us going over everything we needed to know about our new puppy care and answered all of our questions. He did a full examination checking for any genetic ailments and went over what not to do for the puppy in our day to day life. He gave great suggestions on food products and good at home techniques to keep him healthy! A+ all the way through and the office staff was super friendly. You have a customer for life!! Read Less

This place is ridiculous. We came here twice already and got different answers from receptionist name Marie Maria etc She needs to make sure that she knows what she's talking about before confirming any appointments. We wasted our time to go to Companion Hospital just to be told they can't do our dogs grooming when she confirmed to me the day before that all vaccinations are good to go that Durango animal have sent over all vaccinations and they are up to date. Now they want to charge 48 dollars for the vaccinations.. I called them so many times and all they did was put me on hold and told me they were gonna call me back. I've been waiting for the call back.Will never coming back to this place ever again and will make sure to let everyone know ... Read Less

I don't do reviews, but I feel that I need to let people know how awesome this place is.  I brought my cat ( Rollie ) to get a check up and to see why he was losing weight. Right away they took Rollie out of my arms. And told me that I'm lucky to have had him for as long as I did. See Rollie has been with me for 20 years. And they did everything they could to help find out what's wrong and make him better. They didn't want me to get my hopes up because he was a 20-year-old cat. But surgery was not going to be an option. So Dr. Verme did run some test.  Found out that Rollie had cancer.Without going into any more details because it is very sad. He told me that there was not much he could do and to go home and be with him and it would be my decision on what to do. But his body was shutting down.So I took him home spent some time with him. I saw that he was not getting around that easy so I went back and had Dr. Verma help Rollie out  of pain. So I did what was the hardest thing for me to do. But I can say I don't have a lot of money and they still helped me and worked with my budget. the staff and the Dr. never made me feel as if it was about money. Even after everything was done. 4 days later I get a Sympathy Card in the mail with all the staff signed it saying something nice to say about Rollie. They didn't know I have 2 dogs at home and they definitely will have me returning for any pet care needs. I also took the card to work and showed my co-workers. Outstanding experience and Exceptional Dr. Verma.  I can't express enough, the care and attention from the time I brought my dog ( Maltese) in to have an extensive hernia operation. I Lost my Lola this past friday they recomend me to do for her mAny things at once they did her spay and before that test blood after the parvo and then rabbies she died they didn't warn me she was anemic she was weak and they did everything at once  please be aware !!!! MONEY HUNGRY!!!!We took in a 5 month old great dane who was malnourished and came to us with a limp. When we brought her in, we saw Dr. Arnold who appeared kind and compassionate. Before any testing on her leg, she had mentioned the possibility of surgery on her right hind leg. On the very first day without a diagnosis, we had spent $500 for the consultation, x-rays and prescriptions. We had put a lot of trust in this clinic because they would call with any test results and seemed concerned for her well being. Although, every call, she seemed to have a new prescription or test to pay for. Conveniently. We were told that by her x-rays, there were no fractures and a suspicion of a torn ligament in her knee and hip dysplasia. After doing some research, we had found other forms of therapy that were equally beneficial with similar recovery time that didn't involve surgery. We didn't want her to go through with surgery considering her age and the fact that she was still growing/developing. Mentioning these alternative therapies, we were immediately shut down and said that those therapies would not be beneficial and she was in need for surgery on her knee and to discuss a total hip replacement. We were told see the office vet surgeon in their clinic the following week. We agreed to at least hear them out. Three days later, her whole leg swelled up from her hip to her toes. Naturally, I called the vet to ask for suggestions as ice packs were only slightly helpful and our pup had been on bed rest so the possibility of over exertion was ruled out . We were told that she needed her surgery ASAP and must be seen that day but emergency entrance (which they of course suggested) cost $150 alone. We were also told that she would need updated x-rays to see if it had gotten worse from her last which were 3-4 days prior. This vet wanted her to do surgery so adamantly that she had mentioned it before ordering any tests which seemed odd to me. I then had looked on yelp to see that this did have primarily 5 star ratings yet all 1 star ratings had mentioned the same thing: the want to do surgery to charge you more money.Instead of taking her back to this clinic, we had found another vet on the far side of town from us. There, at Sandy Hill Animal Clinic, we saw Dr. Anast who took our pup back immediately and examined her x-rays to find that it wasn't a torn ligament at all, but in fact a long hair-line fracture alongside the bone in her upper right hind leg which was left untreated and uncared for which led to swelling and a body temperature of 106.6. Her leg was left infected. This vet was a life saver and genuinely cared enough to bring her in for 2 nights to bring down her fever, take care of the infection and apply a cast. He also said that he would have never suggested surgery due to her age and the development of her growth as we had originally suspected. We now have a happy pup who is no longer lethargic without an appetite and has the ability to run and play without the need of going under a knife. Thank goodness that we had read up and did research or we would have had our girl under a knife for something that wasn't wrong to begin with. Companion is the best veterinary practice I have ever been to and I've lived in many states and have had many dogs and aninals. They are loving, courteous, always on time, professional and incredibly knowledgeable. One of my dogs has congestive heart failure and every time I have needed his records sent to a specialist that have done it right away!!! I found a very sick stray dog on the street a couple months ago and Dr Verma provided the best care and treatments for him. He is doing great know and I couldn't be more thankful. I have had the pleasure of knowing this Vet and company for more than the last Decade. In 2005 we started bringing our Golden Retriever there and we always felt like they took good care of him. At the age of 14 his time came and Sanjay was able to help ease my hurting heart and give my Max peace. In 2011 we started bringing our new Dachshund, Nike, here. And again they have always done right by us and helped Nike to become a very healthy dog. Here I will break down the Clinic into sections:Expertise: 5 stars. Sanjay and the other vets have my trust and we will typically follow their advice. Our pets have only thrived under any suggestions by the staff and this is why they deserve a 5 star for this. Price: N/A. I am unsure how to rate their prices cause I cannot compare it with other vets. Staff/Connivence: 3.5 stars. Staff typically is always nice and great. No complaints about them. Reason why it is not a 5 star is because it takes about an hour for something that takes the Vet 10 min. In addition, I hate having my dog in a cage. If we drop him off for a washing at 8 am, we shouldn't be told to come back to get him at 3 pm. Overall, this is a great place and you can trust them. Companion Animal Hospital has a staff that is caring and devoted to their clients, i.e., the animals that they treat. When I have called and spoke to a team members, they were always professional and courtesy. In times when a pet is in need of immediate care, it's very important to speak with an individual who cares about your pet/pets. Also, if you need your pet's teeth cleaned, I recommend Dr. Kim Arnold to take care of that for your pets. The first time she cleaned my little girl Angel's teeth, I was amazed at how well she did. I have been taking my precious pooch to Dr. Verma for 10 years. He is an amazing vet and surrounds himself with a very competent and caring staff. Dr. Walker is also fantastic, as is Monica. I moved across town 3-1/2 years ago, yet I have continued to take my doggy to them. There isn't another vet I want to deal with and they are well worth the trip. The place is always clean and comfortable. We board our dog here as well, and the prices are unbeatable. I have and will continue to highly recommend Companion Animal Hospital to all pet owners. I lost my precious girl here because of them. If you consider bringing your pet to their own death grave, this is the place to consider. I've been here for years and believed the vets to be experts because this was their profession. However after I lost my precious baby of only 9 years, I've been proved wrong. She was supposed to live more than a few years! This place has become corrupted and want nothing but money. Once you become a patient of theirs, they give you nothing but false hopes and lies, just to gain more money from your pocket. What's even more insulting is that when my dog died, they didn't empathize or seem to care. They said, here's $2000 for your bill and pay at the front desk. You should also bring your other dogs in for checkups. Are you serious? You have the audacity to ask me to bring my other dogs in so you have the chance to take them from me too?! What kind of veterinarian says that when my family and I are clearly mourning?! If they truly did care, they could mail the bill instead of slapping us with a charge across the face in person!I no longer do business with this sick vet clinic, and take them to South Buffalo Springs. They are extremely friendly and consider your pet as a part of their own family. They get the treatment they need and don't misdiagnose your pet either. After receiving a second opinion and the proper medication for my other dogs, they are showing great improvements. If you care about your pets and want to come home to them, DO NOT TAKE THEM HERE ANYMORE. Money is their prime goal, and nothing more. They can care less about our feelings for our furry companions just to gain more profit in their pocket. I cannot stress how terrible this place is, but if I can't change other people's mind. I would highly recommend staying away from this place ... They only care about MONEY and not about your pets . Find someone who will actually care instead of making false statements . They tried to charge us over 2,000 dollars in one day !!!! How ridiculous is that ?!?? The worst thing they could do was kill my 9 year old dog !!!! This place has the nerve to do the type of things they do . This place should be shut down for false advertisement . JPVery disappointed with this  establishment  due to the fact that they use the love a person has for his/her pet, in order to gain high payouts from the customers.  Our pet had a tag on his face and they attempted to keep calling it a " tumor ", which cost over $1,000.00 to have removed according to them.  They are obviously in the business for the financial gain verses the desire to help people with their pets and making it affordable.   A 2nd opinion from an honest  veterinary clinic completed the issue for less than $100.00.  Disgusting practice Read Less

I recently moved here, and asked for a recommendation for a vet for my elderly dog, and that's how I found Companion Animal Hospital.  It has been wonderful to have Dr. Verma's help with my dog's failing health.  It's so hard to see a loved one go downhill and to face the difficult decisions that go along with that, and Dr. Verma has been patient and so generous with his time to explain what is going on and what our options are.  The staff there have been cheerful and helpful.  What a relief it is to have the health care of my sweet companion in their hands.
