From the initial phone conversation to getting a tour of the facility to picking up our dog for departure the team at Paradise Pet Hospital were phenomenal! We boarded our dog for seven days. The price was very reasonable, the facilities very clean and staff were very accommodating. We will absolutely board our dog again when we go out of town and will also recommend them to others. This place is such a scam! They overcharge for everything! I brought my 2 dogs in for teeth cleaning, nail clipping, and anal gland expression and it was almost $2,000! The "cleaning" was $150 but then they slapped on so many fees! I couldn't say no to the teeth extractions because they were already under anesthesia but had I know how scandalous the prices were I would have never gone here! I made of the mistake of choosing this place for the convince of location. In the past, My dog has had teeth extracted from a different vet and it was well under $300 for multiple extractions+ cleaning. And worst of all is that my dog now has lost control of his anal sphincter after this whole affair! It didn't start happening until the next evening so I thought it was the medication he was on so I tried to wait it out but now it's obvious that this was something iatrogenic! I called the vet and they said that it was nothing that they did ( they deny the fact that they could have botched the anal gland expression) they said that it couldn’t have been their fault because they didn’t do anything invasive. Unfortunately, the tech I spoke to didn’t stop and think that nerves controlling the anal sphincters (muscles that close the rectum) run relatively superficially through the soft tissues near the anal sac! Or perhaps she knew it was their fault and denied it. Then they said since I waited to call in, they want to charge me another $50 to check the damage they caused! Read Less

I just want to thank the ENTIRE team at Paradise Pet Hospital for their awesome service from the doctors down to the receptionist. My husband and I had nothing short of a great experience working with you guys. Our 11 year old mini poodle Naomi was so sad a year ago when we found her abandoned in the hot Las Vegas streets. She had also been in so much pain because of how badly she needed dental work. We were finally able to get her the dental care she needed through Paradise Pet Hospital and you guys did a fantastic job! My baby is so happy, energetic, and playful now! I use Paradise Pet Hospital because I live very close and can walk my dog to this place. They’re very friendly and courteous however the amount of time they receive for excercize when boarding is very minimal (15 minutes tops twice a day), so they’re pretty much in the cage the whole time. I’ve dropped off my own food when boarding and measured it exactly for the amount of days my dog would be there. I told the vet 2 cups twice a day, and when I picked her up I saw I had an entire bag of food left, meaning she was only given 1 cup twice a day (poor dog must’ve been starving). When she was a puppy with various issues I felt as if they were recommending medicines that weren’t really necessary at the time, so be careful and ask as many questions as possible when recommending medicine in order to save yourself some money. Amazing and outstanding experience. From being warmly greeted at the door by Becky until we picked up our babies, everything was truly first rate. You really knocked it out of the park. All the staff were professional, knowledgeable & courteous. All very important to a long time "pet mama" with many veterinary experiences. Even when making the appointment on the phone last week, Natalie went out of her way to get pertinent information to make sure we were properly informed prior to coming in. Great job. I came here today to get my cockerspaniel a check up. I recently adopted her and saved her from going to a kill shelter. I didnt have much money but they were extremely kind and affordable. 4/25/17 We took our 4 and 12 year old pups in for dental consultations, nail trimmings and shots. Very nice office, great friendly staff, fast service. The main office/waiting room was super cute and spotless and not a tone of people waiting, the exam room was a good size so we didn't feel cramped in with 2 adults and 2 dogs and the veterinary tech was really lovely, she didn't puss us to anything we didn't need or want but rather told us her recommendations. Their prices are very good too. Highly recommend!5/17/17 Update, I took my 12 year old baby in for her teeth cleaning and knew she may have had a small infection and possibly needed a tooth pulled. Dropped her off at 7:30, they called at 9am to go over blood work and explained all they found and what we should do to find/fix any issues but said she was good for cleaning, they called again at 10:30am to tell me after xrays a tooth needed to come out and I approved the cost, then again at 12 to tell us she was done and doing great and would be ready to go home by 2pm. We there they went over everything in detail, we even got to keep her teeth in a little jar!!!  I'm very happy with this office. Read Less

We had a great experience here when we took our 2 year old kitty to get his teeth cleaned. I had purchased a Groupon and was able to redeem it with no additional hidden fees. The receptionist told us, the Groupon fee is the same fee all year long so next time we don't have to purchase the Groupon. The facility was spotless, something I always pay attention to because pets can leave a strong odor especially if urine is not cleaned properly. Dental cleaning was very fast (3 hours). However over the phone they couldn't give us a guaranteed pick up time, due to how busy it could possibly get. Understood. The staff was extremely nice and very thorough with what we needed to sign. The receptionist went through every page and explained it all before we signed our cat's life away. Haha not true of course. Anyway, we have two kitty's and when the other one is ready for her dental cleaning, we will be back. Remember no groupons needed, same price all year. Read Less

Amazing knowledgeable staff , Very clean and neat and organized facility . My dog needed surgery for teeth to be removed and they were able to do it at half the cost of all the other places in town. My roommate referred me to this place. She has been a client here for a while. I have a Guinea Pig who I suspect has mites. She is in lots of pain, losing hair, and has bad scabbing all over her back. I walked in and explained things to the receptionist and she seemed great at first. She gave me options and even said since I would be a new customer they would wave the exam fee. I asked when was the earliest that I could get in because this was a priority for me. She say 11:30am. I booked the appointment and while I was standing there someone called in on the phone and she magically got them in at 9:30am. (Was 8:15am at that time). How come I was told 11:30am was the earliest yet some random person on phone was given a sooner appointment? Then I get a call at home at 10:15am saying they would have to cancel the appointment because the Vet had a surgery that was going to go longer then my appointment time. I offered to take any other appointment that day no matter how late. The lady gave me nothing but excuses. She referred me to another hospital but I live a block from this one and it would be impossible to get to. (Don't drive). Now if they would have given me the earlier appointment my animal would have been seen and this issue never would have affected us. Now I am stuck waiting for a different animal hospital to be able to see my animal and I pray that she does not die in the process. So over this whole ordeal Paradise Pet Hospital has lost me as a new customer and my roommate as a long time customer. We both feel that since this would have only netted them maybe $100 that it was not enough money to make them take us seriously. So take this as a warning to anyone thinking about having this place look after your pets. You better be made of money otherwise they will not take you seriously. Read Less

Even though it may have been a one time visit as I was in from out of town but I will forever be grateful to this staff and Dr. Van Der Walt. Had an emergency with my dog that required surgery. Being a veterinary techinician myself I was wary of trusting her with anyone other than our regular vet. From the time I came in to when I picked her up every staff member was friendly, thorough and so very helpful. I felt totally comfortable trusting them with Noodle. I spoke with the Dr. before and after her procedure and she made me feel confident in the recovery process. Took my puppy in for a routee exam. Services felt like a used car dealership. Doctor Judy came back with a $400 bill, right after I personally told her that I only had one hundred on me. I moved here 2 months ago and this hospital helped me get my dog up to date on shots and they were quick and affordable! THEN! After being here for a few weeks, my poor pup had a run in with a not so friendly neighbor dog, and this clinic fit me in right away, no ifs ands or buts, they just told me to get there and they'd see me! They not only made sure my pup got antibiotics but also helped me manager her pain. They also let me help hold her and comfort her during her exam and worked around me being a hovering dog mom. I brought in 2 of my chihuahuas for dental cleaning. The cost was very reasonable compared to other vets. I was given updates on both of my babies throughout the day. One of them needed teeth pulled because they were loose. My babies came home and never missed a beat. Great care Read Less

I brought my injured dog to Dr. Van Der Walt in July, while vacationing in Las Vegas. Unfortunately, there wasn't anything that could be done for sweet Mia, except to euthanize her. I have never had to see the vet here so I can't comment on him. I take my dog here for grooming. The current groomer is awful. I told her not to touch my dogs ears or tail. His tail is usually full and beautiful. She shaved off his tail 2 inches from his body. It now looks like a skinny palm tree with some hair on the end. It will take months for it to grow back. My neighbor took her dog there and said that his testicles bled for days from being burnt or cut. She doesn't trim my dogs nails according to where the cuticle is but barely snipes the tips off. He is now slipping off of curbs and I'm afraid he is going to sprain a foot. I don't drive so I have no choice but to take him there. They have had good groomers in the past...this one needs to go back to school. Read Less
