Absolutely the best! My husband and I have been taking our dog, Rory, here for years now and are really happy with high level of care we've been given. Turns out our furbaby has a rare seizure disorder that requires daily medications. With Sahara Pines, there is none of the usual haggling to get phone calls returned or prescriptions called in like there is with our human doctors. I went to this hospital for an emergency. I called my animal hospital first because my dogs records are there, but they were too busy. So I decided to go here which is closer to my house.My baby boy Baxter got in a fight with my new dog and this time she actually hurt him and there was blood and some deep bites. I New this was bad so I took him to the doctors.I went at 5:50 and it's posted they close at 6, but I gotta be that asshole because I didn't want to run around town finding a vet that would take em.Front staff was very friendly and was quick to get me in the system.55$ for a them to look at him was reasonable and I told em I was tight on money and they did what they could to get him better!! They helped me out and Baxter of course and we were out of there with in 30mins with his wounds clean, staples, a cone and a wagging tail.Recommend for sure. Dr. Ulitchney and Dr. Ziegler are nothing short of perfection!! This animal hospital has very nice and personable staff as well! My family and I have been taking our pug here for 12 years and these vets are the best out there! Dr. Ziegler is always accommodating when our fur baby has to stay overnight and Dr. Ulitchney saved our pugs life back in 2011..He caught her diabetes before it took her life..We are forever grateful for these folks!!! A big thank you to the staff and doctors of Sahara Pines!Like pretty much everyone else, we love this veterinary office. The staff is the best-- always cheerful, kind, helpful and efficient. When we call, they are always very pleasant and polite.  We're never treated as though we're bothering them, as sometimes happens in other medical offices. Dr. Zeigler diagnosed a rare condition in our dog (Flycatcher's Syndrome). She had never actually seen a dog with this condition before but remembered studying it in school. She got our little guy started on meds, and even told us how to administer it since the dose and timing are important. He's doing great now! If I could give a million stars, I would! Read Less

Dr. Ulitchny is awesome! Both of my dogs are from the animal shelter & they have both been abused in the past so they hate going to the vet and are very scared of new people. My dogs now love going to the vet. This doctor is really gentle and friendly with my pups. He takes his time to really care for the dogs & figure out their problems. His office staff is very friendly & the waiting room and the rooms are sanitized. Whenever I have an appointment scheduled I am always taken back in a timely matter. He also doesn't charge outrageous amounts for procedures or medications. I love this vet and so do my animals! Read Less

I would give unlimited stars if I could. I have no idea where to start with this review or why its taken me so long to post one. Dr. Ulitchny, Dr. Ziegler and their staff are beyond amazing. When you are looking for medical providers for your family, whether its a 2-legged or 4-legged family member, you want someone that you can trust, someone that shows empathy, compassion, that loves animals as much as you do. You want a team that cares and listens, one that makes sound medical advice and most importantly honest about your options. Dr. Ulitchny, Dr. Ziegler and their staff are all that and more. I was referred to them several years ago by a friend, and have been taking all of my pets there ever since; my children now take their pets there too. They have provided excellent care treating our pets as if they were their own. When I have questions, I can always call and know my question will be answered. Sadly, I've had to put some of my beloved pets to sleep, and the compassion and caring that we received was incredible. Our most recent has been a lupus and lymphoma battle with our dog Ruckus. Ruckus has thrived and lived longer than expected for the disease,  because of the loving care from Dr. Ulitchny and his team. My family and I are so grateful for Sahara Pines. Goodness..... I don't know where to start -- my journey with Dr Ziegler and the Sahara Pines Staff started back in 1998/1999.... Dr Z and Dr U have been through it all with each of my dachshunds -- Dr Z is honest, forthright, comforting, caring and loving. She goes out of her way to help your pet in the best possible way without wanting to break the bank.  Dr U has always provided the same honest, comforting,  care and love too. The staff... Helpful, patient and as nice as can be.  I could never imagine taking my doxies anywhere else.  These Dr's have taken care of me too during the saddest of times.  Here's to another 16 years.  Simply the best. This office is good for very basic stuff - very basic.  I brought my pet in because  something was not right and the doctor said it was just a reaction to something (and basically didn't know anything else to do).  I don't know why I didn't get a second opinion.  Two months later my pet died.  I really liked this office at first, but after the lack of action and knowledge (or even suggesting they didn't know what to do to see someone else) I won't be returning. The stars say it all, "As good as it gets!" I love this Ventinary clinic and have been taking my fur babies here since 2005. I live in Mountains Edge and drive the distance because it is well worth it. Dr. Ulitchney and his wife are both vets here with exceptional knowlege. I've had on the spot developed xrays done for my yorkie for reasonable prices. I truly believe Dr. U cares about the health of our pets and doesn't try to upsell anything, as a matter of fact he suggested to wait on a cleaning until they have their summer specials when I was willing to do it at full price. Don't let the older building structure fool you, it's a spectacular clinic. Older yes, but that just proves they've been around a long time, stable, reliable, consistant and shows they probably invest their capital in their high tech equipment and resources. Have I mentioned I LOVE THIS CLINIC! ? Oh, and I've used their boarding services during the holidays for my other dog and he comes home with a bath and doesn't seem traumatized. Office visits are free with vaccincations but range from $10-$25 for checkups. It's so hard to find a good vet, especially when relocating to a new state... and it took me a while to find Dr. Ulitchney and team, but i am soooo THANKFUL i did!!  Sahara Pines came recommended from a friend, and since going, I've never gone nor will ever go anywhere else.   They are so patient and caring, and really, really really take the time to invest in each pets health and happiness!!  I've seen both Dr. Ulitchney and Dr. Zeigler and would, without hesitation, recommend either doctor to care for your beloved pet!  As my terrier has gotten older, she has run into some health problems here and there and they both have just been outstanding.  They both have treated her and every time she has had to go in, they spend time finding out information, back story, progress or regression, how treatments have worked, not worked, done tests and aren't just quick to put her on meds -- infact, they discovered she has an extremely sensitive system and can't handle most meds, so they took her off them and didn't rely on prescribing one pill or fix the problem another one caused, and so forth, which i think is a rare quality in a veterinary practice these days. And, go figure... with the help of some probiotics she hasn't had a problem in MONTHS!!  She has seen countless vets who just want to put her on pills and on to the next.   Dr. Ulitchney and Dr. Zeighler just want to see her healthy and happy!  They also are awesome to follow up when brining in my other dogs to see how she's doing -- they never forget!!  They even kept an appointment when the power went out and saw us in the waiting room and when the credit card machines where down, didn't blink an eye "next visit you can pay".  I mean... dedicated and unparalleled in exceptional service.   Thank you for doing what you guys do!!!!!!  The positive impact and care you provide everyone you see is priceless and my dogs and I are extremely grateful!! I have been going to Dr. Ulitchney for about 9 years.  He was recommended to me by a stranger when I was in line at Petco!  I have been to 4 different places before coming here, and I am so glad I found this place.  He is the most compassionate Dr. and really seems to care about the animals.  Doesn't try to upsell like all the other places.  My animals have always been treated with dignity while there, and for that I am grateful.  When I had to put my old German Shepherd down, they were so caring and had so much compassion throughout the whole process.  I also appreciated the sympathy card they sent me.  I continue to bring all my furbabies there, and know I am getting the best care possible. My neighbor recommended Sahara Pines to me after I mentioned how I wasn't pleased with my first vet. They have taken excellent care of my kitties and have fair pricing. I am able to get appointments in a timely manner, same day if I call because one of my furballs is sick.  They are excellent about keeping me in the loop regarding treatment and costs. Read Less

My family has been going to this vet for about the past 12 years and we've never had a single reason to complain.  They are very friendly and seem to really care.  I usually see Dr. Ulitchny, but have seen 3 other of the doctors that worked there and liked every single one of them.  As long as I live in Vegas, I will definitely take my pets to this vet.
