I love animals and I have brought my pets here for spay and neuter services. The walk in vaccine clinic is so convenient and with 2 locations. They have a system that works great, you grab a clipboard with a number and fill out the forms, they call your number you go up check in and pay then wait a short time, your called back seen and on your way. I just had my second little girl spayed here. Both experiences were great. Instructions were through and clear. So far I have had three cats that have been here for their immunizations as well. The facility is clean and well organized. The staff shows care and compassion in their treatment of my little ones. Immunizations are very reasonable, quick and you can not find spay services anywhere in town for this low cost. I like the fact that they specialize in spay/neuter because this means they have a lot of experience performing these surgeries. It is very convenient to be able to have immunizations without an appointment so that I can fit it in my schedule depending on how my day unfolds. We have two large German shepherds and decided to use this clinic for their spay and neuter based on their yelp reviews. Not only do they have better ratings than clinics in the surrounding area but they uphold that standard. We arrived for a 7:30am check in there was 5+ dogs waiting as well we took a number and filled out the paper work and we were seen in no more than 10 minutes. The vet checks to make sure your pet is in good health and off they go! We were called for pick up at 12:30pm and both dogs were very calm and happy to see us. We were given pain and sedation medication to help them remain calm. We had a great experience using this clinic.There was an error on their certificates but after calling the staff was helpful and quick about correcting it. I am very pleased with the level of professionalism and service I received at the Spay and Neuter Center Decatur location.  I brought my two kittens in for shots and on another visit neuter. The vet Taryn Griffith was very knowledgeable and sincere.  She answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable.  The front desk staff were efficient and friendly.  The vaccine clinic was run efficiently and was a good use of time for folks with a busy schedule.  Lasty, the care my kittens received was like no other.  The vet spent time with them on their first visit and when I left them for their neuter I felt as though they were in great hands.  I would definitely recommend Spay and Neuter Center west to anyone Looking for a great vet office and superb staff. Let me start by saying I have 3 dogs who have come here for shots and usually have a great experience with the caring vets and vet techs. But today was a different story! My 2 pitbulls were due for shots and Tara, an insensitive vet tech, tried to muzzle my 4 year old blue nose with a leash without informing us of what she was doing first. She came in, wrapped the leash around my dog's mouth without any warning. Very unprofessional! She seemed inexperienced and unmoved by our concerns of why she was doing it. She simply stated she didn't want to get bitten. If she's so scared of my dog, why did she treat them in the first place. If she assessed the situation, she would've seen the control my husband has over our dogs. My dogs didn't show any aggression and my 8 year old daughter was there in shock of what Tara was doing to her dog. My daughter was traumatized by what Tara did to my dog that she actually thought Tara was going to choke her to death. Now my daughter will always have that memory of someone harming her buddy who she loves very much. Tara needs better training with animals and customer service. She showed NO sympathy or regret for what she did. She felt justified but in reality she didn't follow protocol. She was prejudice against my dogs and clearly didn't care that my daughter was upset. If she feared my dogs for whatever personal reason, she should've never entered the exam room with her ill intentions. She should be disciplined or trained again because she clearly does not know what she's doing! My husband spoke to Carolina, the supervisor, and she listened to our concerns and apologized for Tara's actions. She states that a new protocol will be set in place and informed us of their other location. We will no longer come to this location again which will probably put a smile on Tara's insensitive face. I mentioned that i noticed other people being serviced only to wait another 10 minutes waiting while new people are being serviced. I am highly upset and will not be returning to this location. Took my 6 month of pup here and it was such a breeze!  They don't take appointments per se, must drop off pet between 8:00-8:30am.  Was called by 11am to let me know my puppy would be ready for pickup around 1pm, but no rush, free boarding until 6pm.  Got there and he was more alert than I expected.  My dog was 55 pounds at the time and it cost $152 total.  That included neutering, microchip, nail clipping, cone, and medicine.  They do the clipping for free if you get the microchip.  I think nail clipping is $10 if under local, and $20 for walk in.  The medicine I received was tramadol for pain and sedatives.  They called to follow up the next two days to make sure everything was going as planned, which made me very happy.  They care about animals and they care about their work.  Would certainly recommend if you're looking around. I ended up here due to my vet not willing to do the neutering unless I did the bordetella vaccine.  I did my own research on the vaccine beforehand and deemed it was not needed and was essentially over-vaccinating my pet.  I have all other vaccines and proved that to spay/neuter center and it was no problem. My girlfriend and I took our cat in to get neutered back in January. It was really affordable, if I recall it was around $60 and that included a nail trim.  Our cat was spraying in our apartment because there was a previous cat smell there. Once we got him fixed he stopped spraying. He is also more lovable now than he was before. The staff did a great job! After surgery we kept him in our room and made sure he wasn't jumping up on things and trying to pick at his stitches. They also gave him a rabies shot too. I called and told you I wanted to bring my CAT in. You told me to come at 3-5PM for a vaccination clinic. I do as I'm told and the place is wall to wall in monster dogs and idiot owners that can't control them. There's dogs barking and lunging at each other. I'm standing there and standing there until I have to yell over the din, "How do I check in?" While I'm checking in, one owner trying to control 2 dinosaurs lets his dogs start lunging and barking at someone else's dinosaur. My poor cat is terrified (he's restrained in a carrier), and for the sake of his mental stability I leave. YOU TOLD ME THIS WAS WHEN I SHOULD BRING MY CAT IN. Now the poor little guy is absolutely shell-shocked. This was the most idiotic advice to give a cat owner. I suggest you tell people that you're just a dog clinic, because no cat owner in their right mind would put their innocent feline through such abuse. 0 stars if I could. Read Less

Looking for an affordable place to get your pets some vaccinations, spay or neuter? Well look no further! I've taken both my cat and my puppy here and both received amazing service! My cat needed to get spayed. I called in for an appointment and dropped her day of appointment. I filled out paperworks there and they said they'll call when her surgery was done. Everything went smoothly. They even provided her a cute pink heart blanket! She was sad at first but her healing went very well! I couldn't be more happier that my cat was in good hands! My puppy needed his vaccines. I went in on a Sunday at 3ish for he walk-in clinic and there was already a long wait! Since he didn't have all his shots, I had to keep him off the ground. It may be a bit hard if your puppy wants to play with other dogs he sees but keep them off to avoid them catching any disease! The waiting area is kind of crowded when it gets full! I waited for about 45 minutes. The vet along with her assistant were very friendly! They chatted with us for a bit, weighed him, then gave him his shot! I was surprised to see how clean they try to keep this place, despite the type of people that patronize it. It is too warm and humid inside. The dander and smell are too much for my allergies. I have a dog that doesn't shed, so he doesn't bother my asthma & allergies. However this place it is difficult to stay here without having an asthma attack. I've been to another Vet on East Flamingo and that place was awesome & clean. Puts this one to shame. Also, for a low-cost shot clinic, I was surprised to have been charged $36 for his shots; only to be told that I have to return and repeat this process 3 times. What? I've never had to repeat the shot process 3 times. I received an email 6 months later to return & renew the same shots just received 3 sets of! This must be how they scam people & make money off of people working hard to take care of their animals. They also sent me an email to let me know that at 1.5 years old he needed another de-wormer. Needless to say, I didn't go there for the de-wormer. I will not return here for anything! You can find other cleaner places to do your spay/neuter and shots. Read Less

I took my puppy in for a spay. The cost was $126.00 with a nail trim,a cone,and two  different pain meds. The pain meds were a lifesaver! She had a rough week afterwards and I  was grateful for them . The price quoted at 3 other vets was $250 to $ 365.00. Huge price difference, not any difference in care. They were great!!! I also got shots and boosters for 1/3 the price of vet's,with a quickie checkup. I think they were about $21.00. Definitely worth drive from Summerlin. Read Less

Everything was perfect. The first phone call the lady was so nice and explained everything perfectly very fun and friendly. When I brought in my dog Fred they were very sweet with him. They were on time no wait. I got him back within a few hours and he was almost healed in 3 days. The cost was less then half of what my vet wanted to charge. If I could give them 10 stars I would. They are truly amazing here. I totally spaced in vaccinations for my dog so I could board her for Christmas. Their normal walk in vaccine clinic hours are 3-5 but that's when I work. So I called and they said to just come in the morning and get them. I don't know what I would of done if they had said no. This place is probably the cheapest place to get any vaccinations, spaying or neutering for your pets. I've been here with 2 of my dogs and they always get the proper treatment. All vaccinations for my dogs were done here and it did not break the bank at all. My 5 year old (human years) husky needed to finally get clipped due to his aggressiveness towards other people. He is a very dominant dog and will not listen to anyone but who he is used to. So after taking him to a doggy day care and they basically told us you're dog will soon hurt someone if you don't take necessary precautions. We decided to take his manhood away in hopes that he will calm down. They were very helpful in instructions. They made sure we were comfortable in taking care of him. They were very nice and accommodating. And the surgery was pretty quick. we dropped him off at 7am and picked him up about 11am. Jacob is currently on the mend. Read Less

They did a great job, zero issues with healing. Animals are much happier without breeding parts, and the price is right!I do have a regular vet, but this is where I go for vaccinations for my animals.The staff is helpful, and very good with the animals. I wanted them check my dog and the vet couldn't really tell what it was. So I asked her what she thought my dog could have and she said cancer. And it was embarrassing because she said it so loudly and the wall is so thin, when I walked out everyone knew what she said. It was so embarrassing. Everyone was staring at me. And for nothing my dog had a small infection not CANCER. And the assistants are a problem here. They have some kind bitch ass attitude and I've been here 3 times now and their attitude doesn't fail. However, the service is still pretty good to other places. But seriously a little more quality. When I say its good I say about how good it was of a treatment for my dog not me. The center is perfect! The staff is courteous! The environment is always clean and sterile. The care they provide for pets is always accurate and caring. And their prices are reasonable and affordable. Except for one thing...they should allow access to their bathrooms. My mom and I took our cat their yesterday for her updated rabies shots and my mom; a disabled senior asked if she could briefly use their bathroom. Our ride to the center was long, so they told her to go across the parking lot and walk in the heat, to a nearby thrift store to use the bathrooms. I'm sure it's not a habit, but they should've at least accommodated her just that once. 2 years ago when we were there, they allowed it. Forget that it's a discount clinic, this place is better than regular clinics! I honestly have had the best experience with them and I've taken 2 of my family's dogs (a GSD and a GSD mix) plus 1 stray dog (also a GSD) here for vaccinations, neuters, and a spay.-First of all, the staff is so FRIENDLY! I was surprised because it can get hectic during walk-in vaccination hours but they keep their cool and keep smiling. -The staff is also HELPFUL. They take the time to explain to you what they are doing and/or what needs to be done. I had to bring in one of my pups, Boo, for a recheck. He had some post-surgery swelling at the neuter site and the girl who took him back explained everything in detail to me. We got the swelling down and he's cleared for normal activity! -The staff is also PROFESSIONAL. I found a stray, aptly named Lobo by his previous owners (who did not want him back), and decided to get him neutered and up to date on shots before finding him a forever home. He is a lot to handle-- literally was trying to climb out of a closed window in the exam room-- but Dr. Bardall-Roberts and her assistant/tech handled him like the pros they are. Even when he got scared during his shots and tried to bite the doc, the tech (I wish I knew her name!) restrained him and muzzled him in an experienced way. -The clinic is EFFICIENT. I did not experience long wait times during any of my multiple visits. I will say, however, that I am punctual and often early and this helps I'm sure. But they seem to move through patients quickly and I love their numbered clipboard system. They have walk-in vaccines from 3pm-5pm every day except Wednesday. Arrive on the earlier side and you should be fine :) Their normal business hours are 7am - 6pm M-F.-Lastly-- you guessed it-- it's INEXPENSIVE! Neuters for dogs range from $70 - $130 and spays from $95 - $160, depending on weight. Cats are $40 for males and $75 for females. I believe pain medication is only $10. Each vaccine is $12 for a total of $36 for the full set for both cats and dogs. Check their website for additional services. We had Lobo's nails trimmed for only $6 extra on top of surgery fees. Excellent! This is an amazingly efficient office.  It was busy so I expected chaos. However, EVERY staff member was very friendly & moved everyone through swiftly, calmly and effectively.  I had an appointment for my three new dogs. All three needed spaying, one needed shots, two needed nail trims, two are nervous biters..etc.  My arrival time was 7:00. I filled out forms, then saw the doctor for a brief exam and gave her the history of each dog. She said they would call around noon to let me know how the girls were doing and when they would be ready to leave,  The call came on schedule.I came back to pick the girls up during the shot clinic hours. It was, again, very busy and again, everyone moved swiftly and calmly. I was told in detail what had been done and given detailed instructions on how to care for the girls during their recovery. I called the office on a Friday morning and the young lady listened to me as I cried while speaking of my Yorkie's condition. We took our beautiful Koko to them the next morning secondary to her having pyometra. She was very sick and in very bad condition. They were so great to her and you can really tell that they care. The Dr. spoke to use in detail about the surgery and the possible out come. The surgery went great. We picked her up that day at 5p.m. They sent her home with medication and instructions. They called the next day to check on her, and she was doing great! We took her for a post op visit the next Saturday and all went well. They called the next day, Sunday to check on her. WOW. i would take my animal there again and recommend to others. i got the micro chipping & vaccines done as well. staff is friendly and answers questions. the place is packed, they are VERY busy. the vet did fly in and fly out of the room but i WAS able to stop her exit twice and ask more questions (without protest from the vet). staff was good enough to take my questions to the vet that i forgot to ask. i went on a Saturday, waited maybe 20 minutes at drop off to talk to the vet and close to 30-40 minutes altogether (waiting for them to bring me the animal, instructions and check out) at pick up time. but their cost was $110 cheaper than my regular vet so it was worth the drive and extra hour.Read Less

This place is phenomenal!I have had my little dog for almost 8 years now and we finally decided to get him a friend. He has only had the cats around for all that time and it's hard for him to bond with somebody who is constantly trying to claw his face off. So in preparation for the new arrival we have been prepping the house and we had to make sure to get the boys shots caught up. That's where Spay and Neuter Center of Southern Nevada comes in. The shots here are remarkably affordable! For $36.00 you get the rabies, bordetella, and DA2PP shots. We also decided to get him a nail trim also, which was a $20.00 charge. I also noticed that they only charge $12.00 to express the anal glands. I would gladly pay that(and then some) to never have to do that again! Tried it one time years ago and never, ever, ever, ever...and I mean EVER again!  Quite possibly the worst "money saving" idea in the history of mankind. And I own that. But that is a story for another day. What stood out the most about this place was the staff. They were all so friendly and seemed to genuinely care about the animals. They displayed care, understanding, and empathy at every turn! These people are incredible! I only wish I had heard of this place before I went to Banfield all those years ago. The staff here are 100 times friendlier and the services are substantially cheaper! Win-win!The facility is very clean and has paper towels and cleaners available, in case your critter gets nervous and makes a mess. There is plenty of seating available, as well. Even though it was busy, they moved through everybody pretty fast! Pro Tip: You can sign up for them to text or call you when your critters shots are due!
