Sunrise Veterinary Clinic

Las Vegas, Nevada
General Info
Sunrise Veterinary Clinic in Las Vegas enables pet owners across Nevada to access veterinary care that is educational and collaborative while being highly responsive to subtle health cues. Initial visits begin with environmental adjustment—letting the pet acclimate to sounds, light, and room layout. Veterinarians begin behavioral observation upon entry by monitoring gait patterns along with social responses while identifying hesitation zones and assessing breath rhythms together with tactile reactivity. Physical assessments examine coat health hydration level gum color limb use joint sensitivity abdominal tone and muscle stability. The intake picture relies on owner feedback which documents recent appetite changes alongside grooming routines and shifts in interaction patterns with vocalization trends to guide subsequent steps. The structured service offerings at Sunrise Veterinary Clinic encompass lab panels alongside dental procedures and surgical prep and recovery while also providing age-adjusted diagnostics together with preventative wellness mapping. The explanation of each service milestone occurs in intricate detail while visual progress tools become accessible for multi-visit plans. The team assists owners in deciphering body language throughout recovery while identifying behaviors that indicate either readiness or resistance to ensure more intuitive home care. Follow-up visits are mapped using behavioral benchmarks not just calendar dates. Owners should monitor observable changes such as sleep cycles eye contact duration surface preferences and mobility gradients to provide context during each return check-in. This guarantees decision-making processes proceed with assuredness and unbroken consistency. Sunrise Veterinary Clinic establishes a clinical partnership with pet families across Las Vegas and wider Nevada that stresses knowledge patience and visibility to transform care into an active collaboration starting from the first day.

it is hard to find a trustworthy Vet in this town based off of my experiences. I had some places where the first words out of their mouth are surgery without a distinct issue being found or most places you just walk in, no appointments can be made, no consistency with the same vets and not being comfortable with the lack of familiarity. Having made an appointment with Dr Henderson after not being satisfied with a diagnosis or options for relief to my dogs symptoms, he gave me several options and how realistic each would be for my dog to have a healthier less painful future. I have taken my dogs back several times,. The Dr and his staff are super friendly and are constantly making contact with the dogs to make sure each visit is comfortable for them, even when they are not themselves, trust goes a long way, especially with my Rottweiler's. I recently had to make a tough decision regarding one of my dogs and I was given several options and what risks each procedure had, most Vets that I encountered do not give you all the facts, whether it was good or bad news. I respect an upfront and honest answer, if it is good news or not and that is what I get from this clinic. I will be bringing my pets here when ever they need to be checked out knowing they are getting the best care from a great staff! Read Less

Before today I would've gave this little old place 5 stars. I been coming here with my 3 other dogs for 8 years. I used to see Dr. Masters who was absolutely amazing. Ever since it's been only Dr. Henderson mostly for shots, who is usually pretty good. His children who work the front desk could use some etiquette training on answering business phones but that's okay.My issue is, I made an appt for my 18 month old pitbull. He's super friendly and thinks he's can jump on & play with everybody cause to him everyone is his friend. I get the stigma on this breed, I was nervous about getting one but I found out it's about how you raise them. & I raised a loving and playful 60 lb BABY, literally. Today, I go to my appt., Dr henderson and his staff come and stand in the doorway looking at my dog. He's barking and wagging his tail. He sees people staring, he wants attention. Yet Dr. Henderson instantly decides to tell me "I have an out of control dog who is an aggressive breed, who looks like he wants to eat his face." and he won't treat him! That's an amazing assumption to make standing from another room with 5 seconds of watching him. A real animal lover who UNDERSTANDS them would see he's vocal not aggressive, he barks to tell you he wants attention. That's like an exotic animal vet not wanting to treat a snake because they bite. Well, Obviously. Comes with the territory. Except in this case, I should've left instantly but being calm I even offered to muzzle my dog to make the "Vet" feel better but instead he chose to relentlessly continue to verbally insult my dog & I. He didn't even try to get to know my dog or anything. He didn't get within 10 ft, like as if my dog was growling and trying to eat him. He's a puppy! The tone and the words he used to verbally attack my dog and insult him and me as his owner was incredibly disrespectful and unprofessional. He didn't even try to give my dog a chance before he told me he won't treat him. I'm incredibly insulted considering my dog is not only dog friendly but he loves people, & I take pride in that I've taught him to be that way.Not only do dogs sense things from people, but Dr henderson & his "Assistant" stood there sending that bad energy speaking to me like that and yet my dog still didn't get angry. Which IF he had would be understandable because obviously these aren't animal people and dogs can pick up on that.I wish my dog did "want to eat his face" like he said, it would've been deserving since according to this "Professional" he's an "aggressive breed". Generalize much?I WILL NEVER BE COMING BACK HERE AGAIN.I am thankful though, due to their unprofessional Practices it helped me to find SUNSET EASTERN ANIMAL HOSPITAL. Where the vet took me the same day & sat and played with my dog to get to know him while asking me detailed questions to better diagnose him. Turns out my dog may have a colon issue. So thank you for being so rude to me this morning, it helped me find what a real vet business is like when they truly care. Sad situation, a person like that dealing with animals with such anger and discrimination. Sent away a sick hurting dog, any true animal lover would've seen my dog is friendly and wouldn't want to turn away a animal in distress. Read Less

Read Less

Doctor Henderson is amazing.  He is EXTREMELY knowledgable and is very straight forward.  He will not beat around the bush or charge you for anything that is not necessary. To me Doctor Henderson is not only honest m, he knows what he is doing and takes a lot of pride in what he does.We took our dog to another vet and they could not find anything wrong with our dog yet she continued to get sicker and sicker.  Doctor Henderson was able to diagnose our dog and start treatment without unnecessary tests and like I said, he does not over charge, his prices are fair and worth every penny.  Within days of visiting our dog started to get better.  I will NEVER take my dogs anywhere else other then to Doctor Henderson.  The staff are warm and friendly and it's a pleasure to deal with them. After calling over 30 animal Dr's places this was the worst customer service I have ever in my life encountered. The daughter of the Dr instead of saying sorry we can't help you. She told me that if I can't afford a pet I should not have one. OK first off its Christmas and times are hard second I have had our cat taken care of from someone shooting a arrow threw it's head to getting attacked by a wild animal. So for her to say that to me was completely out of line on so many levels of customer service.Read Less

worst vet I have ever brought a animal to in my life! I have a 3 yr old blue nose pit that went for her first visit to the vet today for just a well check up and he treated her as if she was some kind of murderer and in 30 seconds of knowing my dog he was trying to tell me my dog is a very danagourous dog.I guess when a dog hides behind there owner cuz there scared or nervous means their danagourous.and the rudest receptionist said to me that Pits kill and this conversation isn't productive for him to have.love for animals is what a vet should have. this is why so many pits are put down. makes me sick that a veterinarian was so judgemental and irrogant Read Less

Dr. Henderson and the entire staff at Sunrise Vet are the greatest. I live in Centennial Hills and believe me, it's well worth the drive to their office. There are too many veterinarian's in town that are more concerned with having a fancy office and providing boutique medicine. Dr. Henderson and his staff are the only people I will trust with my animals. They truly care about providing quality healthcare for my pets. The staff at Sunrise are compassionate, knowledgeable, and honest. Don't let the little building on a busy street in an older part of town turn you away, there are great things going on behind those doors. Read Less
