I do not recommend this place to anyone if you love your pet or pets... I took my puppy here yesterday and paid 200.00dollars and he died soon as he got home.. They didnt care and they also lied to me instead of being professional and saying its best for me to get hin put to sleep.. My dog used the bathroom in there no one cleaned it up i did for the safety of the others puppies .. My puppy was bleeding everywhere and no one cleaned it up ... Sorry to say i didnt clean that up because they threw my puppy back in my hands i new he was dying.. My puppy died in my arms yesterday. And i couldn't get any money back and they also wanted to pay an additional 70.00 for burial .. My puppy didnt even use the medicine.. My provider was Moore i think he should of been truthful with me instead of lying about my puppys illness.. But dont bring your pet here the place isnt clean enough .. I have been coming here for 15 years and the owner has dealt with all of my animals after moving back from Dallas Texas I brought my 2 month old puppy to see him I guess he has retired. Things have totally changed here the young girls in the office are extremely rude and ignorant. They told me to come back in 3 weeks for the second parvo shot. I came back in 3 weeks drove 30 minutes from across town with a small puppy in the heat just to be told that I will be charged $60 for an additional parvo vaccination shot. This place will never see any of my dogs again!!!! I even called them beforehand twice do you think they could have told me before driving all that way no they didn't. I just recently called the girl was rude on the phone they really need to get this place in check maybe fire the young high school girls that are working in the front cause they obviously don't know how to deal with people. My dog snowballs was very sick. He even puked blood at the building and they never helped it. They didn't do anything. I kept taking him everyday and they just don't look deep into him. Dr. George Stoecklin is a kind, caring and skilled veterinarian. The prices for his services are fair and reasonable. He also provides days and times when you can receive discounted vaccinations for your pets. The staff is kind, caring and efficient. I have been taking my pets to him since I returned to the Las Vegas area in 1998. It is a bit of a drive for me to get to his office/surgical facility in North Las Vegas as I live in Las Vegas bordering Henderson but I feel it is worth the drive to have my pets receive the kind of care that I want for them.Read Less

This place is only good for pet vaccinations, to spayed or neutered your pet, however when it comes to your pet needing surgery? the gray headed veterinarian at this hospital doesn't care, I mean first of all his xray doesn't screen very well and when he takes your money he doesn't care if your pet still is in bad shape, he'll just hand you a crematory information sheet ready to put your pet down! I was ripped off by that jerk who calls himself a veterinarIan. He took me for 400.00 in unnecessary steroid shots, and pills. I read reviews, and only came here because of a recommendation by a family member. What a mistake that was. I have a 6 1/2 pound dog with a back injury, and he sent her home with only steroid pills, and over the course of a week, gave her 4 more injections! No x-rays, when I asked for them he spoke to me like I was dumb, and said they weren't necessary. He did the same when I said my dog needed pain medicine. The last straw was when he told me to mix Deramaxx, and Prednisone, which should never be taken together! My dog never improved one damn bit over the course of 8 days, and he just kept giving her the injections. I called the clinic in Utah where my dog has been treated for the same thing before, and explained to them what he'd been giving the dog. Well, needless to say they were floored by the amount of Prednisone, and the fact that Dr.Stoeklin had insisted I mix it with the Deramaxx. I have since then taken my dog to another veterinarian who was just as shocked by my story. These people may be cheap, but they're also rude, incompetent, non caring, and just plain DUMB! If you value the lives of your cats and dogs as much as much as I do, you might think twice about bringing to this vet. one of my cats was misdiagnosed byGeorge S. and not given the proper care she needed and she died three months later at the tender age of 6. Another one of my cats was misdiagnosedby him and will be on medication for the rest of his life. when George did the blood test he told me that every thing was fine. I took the blood test results to anothervet who told me that my cat thyroid level should have been red flag for further evaluation. He even put my cat on 5mg. of prednisone twice  a day while anothervet said a appropriate dosage would be 5mg. once every 48 hours. I Google his name on the Internet and found that had been reprimanded Jan. 24 2009 by the  NVB of  V. M. This is not my normal vet, but I brought my dog in for a cheaper teeth cleaning than my vet could offer. Then she immediately came down with kennel cough or tracheobronchitis. The conditions are caused by exposure to crowded and/or poorly ventilated conditions, which are found in many kennels and shelters, and exposure to cold temperatures. To make things worse, they want to charge me to help her recover! I paid the $50.00 for the first round of antibiotics, but I will not be back. Not to mention both times of going there, it was a two hour wait in the waiting room that smells of urine. The place is dirty and unprofessional. The staff always seems confused. I told my friend her dog was impacted , and told her it's an emergency and to take him to vet . And she did . When we get there they refused to do  X-rays , gave him fluids , then sent him home.  Today he obviously wasn't doing any better ( note I said he was impacted ) , they finally did a X-ray and sure enough he's impacted . They take him into surgery and cut him which resulted in his death. We lost a good friend today , and we lost him cause YOU wouldn't listen , YOU didn't want to X-ray him yesterday , and then YOU cut him. Please consider not having a godlike complex, you don't know everything , maybe next time someone says what's wrong with their dog you'll listen ! My puppy would scratch her ears alot,we took her here,said it was an infection,the vet just glanced at it.we gave her the treatment,did not work.took her again,the man just glanced at it and said keep giving her the medicine.Unsatisfied with his answer we took her to another hospital,there they swabbed my puppies ears,took it under the microscope. I've been going there for 9 years. My first experience was when I first moved to Vegas. Dr. Stoekland came to my home and vacinated and chipped my 6 cats and 3 dogs. I like him because he is so very knowledeable without demanding loads of expensive tests. He is always right on with the treatment. I also bring my chickens and birds there. Its a very laid back and unconventional place. They euthanized many of my animals there and they were very kind. I read another post and it says one of the staff is a drug addict? ...seriously..that is.absurd...but I know there is scruffy guy there who is quirky but underneath the surface impression is a brilliant bird specialist who I have come to really respect and rely on his opinion over the years...don't judge people by external appearance or quirky behavior. I have been a patron here for over 20 years. We started going when we lived out near there. But we moved away and still make the drive. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful. I have been fortunate to have had fairly healthy animals, so I have gone mostly for shots. The wait for the vaccines on the weekend can be long as they are half price then. It's definitely not the fanciest place but I don't think that diminishes from the level of care I have received there. I have always received a call back a day or two after my visit to make sure that my animal was doing well. When my cat was diagnosed with diabetes, they taught me how to administer the insulin shots to maintain his health. When I had to make the decision to put my dog down they were very compassionate. All in all, I've been very pleased in the service I've received in the 20+ years going to Dr. Stoeklin. Read Less

First of all, its my first time here. I get there, no one asks me what i need to fill out, what im there for, nothing. Just a bunch of girls(receptionists) sitting around talking to each other. The Vet tech was a man, looked and acted like a COMPLETE drug addict, he argued with me about my dogs age. Ive never been to a place with such unprofessional staff members.  I went to get my Dogs last shots. & i had some questions about cropping his ears. The Vet was literally with me for 2 mins did not let me finish asking questions & just walked me out gave my paper to the receptionist & charged me. Not only that but they charged me for some shots that he did not need. I have been taking my american eskimo Snoball here since she was a pup. They hardly ever have a wait, and the doctor is always available for emergencies. I recently had her come in to get fixed and they noticed her tooth was loose and would possibly cause pain during the procedure and removed it and stitched her up at no additional charge. They took great care of her. Also the cost was significantly lower for the procedure than any other vets i had visited. Read Less

I came from California to get dental work done on my dogs, yes I love this place that much, and when I was living in Las Vegas this vet was who I trusted my dogs to (over 6 years)! They are reasonably priced and not trying to rob you for simple things to be done and my dogs feel better! Staff is great, the Doc is about helping animals and not charging an arm and a leg! LOVE YOUR PET? THEN GO ELSE WHERE!If your going here for their low rates then I suggest only getting vaccines (dirt cheap) on weekends, how ever if in any case you need someone to care for your animal, then you got the wrong place. my poor dog was sick with diarrhea, I took him in for his shots and explained that he was sick, they said that ad long as he is eating and drinking he'll be fine, well guess what he wasn't. I had to bring him in again for blood work I was never explained what was wrong with him instead they said Dr. Stefano says "bring him back in for more blood work" (I guess one test isn't enough or they needed to charge me again,  AWESOME). I declined, and sought a second opinion I went to Pebble and Maryland animal hospital, and when I requested the records to be faxed over they gave me attitude (how audacious), they faxed over only shot records and when I called them again they said  "we will no longer fax anything" and hung up on me! WOW,  how Unprofessional this is how they treat patrons, just imagine your animal in their care? You're better off leaving them with dr. TERRIBLE place!!!!! First of all we have been going to the this place for over 13 years and they were ok for my dogs shots but if your dog gets sick WORST idea to take here!!!! The dr could careless he doesn't even ask you any questions about your pet. We went there because one of my dogs had diarrhea for 2weeks  the dr said don't worry about it as long as he is still eating and drinking he wil be fine.  No testing of any kind that day. So 2 more weeks go by and my poor dog is still sick and he started to throw up a little bit we take him back yo this terrible place all they say is let's take blood work and they gave him antibiotics for ten days. 3 days go by and the dr doesn't even call us bak to let us know about the results we had to call. The dr doesn't even go over blood work with us the receptionist just tell us dr said that to keep taking the antibiotics to make sure it's not a bacteria infection but that we would need more blood work because his liver might be damaged or failing. Like really if my dogs liver is failing you couldn't call us to get us is ASAP for more lab work!! So my poor dog has had diarrhea for 2 months now and has lost 11 pounds! So we go to get a 2nd opinion because we feel Luke this is not right. We request our records and blood work to be faxed to the vet ( green valley animal hospital ) and n.lv makes it in possible for us to get these records that we have paid for rightfully ours they didn't want to send them they say they did but we never received them. We call back and Jessica the receptionist tell us that Dr. Is telling her that they will no longer fax anything for us and then said the dr. Is telling her to hang up on us. Really professional!!! I have taken three pets to this Vet (1) dog and (2) cats. Each has passed while being treated. I am not going to go back. But my animals were already sick prior. Anything routine I would say is fine shots, well check up. But for an illness I would recommend using someone who has current  training. My cats were always given the same medication no matter what they had. And my dog was prescribed an overdose of medication. Good luck! Read Less

Staff has always acknowledged me in a timely manner, they have always been kind to me and professional. Smells in an animal hospitals is normal, they are animals, go figure. If they were on a computer or on the phone that means that they were giving quality help to someone else before you walked in; this place is not Mac Donald. What has happened to the virtue of patience? The Veterinarian is highly knowledgeable and has always taken very good care of my animals. I brought in 4 cats with that had upper respiratory infections. Dr. Stoeklin gave then an antibiotic shot and some medicine with instructions to administer the drops twice a day. All of the cats were due for boosters on their vaccines but Dr Stoeklin decided to hold off on those until the cats were healthy again. All of my cats have recovered nicely. This place is definitely not out to take your money. They offer half price vaccines on certain days of the week and they spay and neuter pets for a very low price. His staff is also thoughtful and helpful. There is another vet about 3 blocks from my house but I gladly make the 20 mile drive to North Las Vegas when my cats need to see a doctor. Read Less

We brought our cat in after she had an accident in the yard, and her right front leg and paw were paralyzed. The hospital kept her over night for observation and blood tests. The next morning, USD 250,-- later, we could take her home, with the diagnosis of a ""liver problem"" (she is not even 2 years young and has never shown any signs of any disease) and a corticosteroid. (not a medicine to treat a liver problem!) No x-ray had been taken. When asked, why there were blood tests and no x-ray taken, the staff member told us, that this is ""procedure"". After a week of no improvement we took her back. Same medication, still no x-ray. During the next few days the paralyzed leg died off completely. Now Dr. Soecklin wants to amputate or put her down. The diagnosis now is, that ""something injured the leg"" ! Please, don't take your pet to this place. All they care about is money. What goes further than the regular shots, is too much to care for. Just say no. Save yourself some time. I've used them before, but just because they were more affordable. I honestly can't stand walking in the front door of an empty office, to be ignored by the staff. If it were the first time, I might let it go. But it happened the last time as well, and by another unfriendly employee. And it wasn't like they didn't hear me, I had a crying puppy and two loud children. Also would like to note, that the person behind the counter was NOT on the phone, or even helping another customer. She was just working on her computer. The lack of customer service is HUGE when it comes to caring for your pets. I mean, if they can't even be nice to the patrons, how can they be nice to your animal? I live a long distance from this hospital I call Dr Stoecklin and told him about my animals problem and he said I really don't like treating animals over the phone and I need to see her. We decided to take her in and glad we did there was nothing wrong with her! I love this doctor, he was very caring listened to what I said and tried to answer all my questions. After reading several of the reviews online I was very skeptical about taking my dog to get neautured here. It is an old building and does have the usual animal smell, but I was very impressed with the professionalism of the staff. Everyone was nice and took great care of my Mastiff. He had a complication after the surgery, so they had him stay the night at no extra cost. Both times we went there, the vet techs were walking the animals and giving them exercise. The vet techs have even called twice to see how he was doing. I appreciate the personalization I have received. Great service at a good price. Read Less

My wife has been taking all of her cats to Dr. Stoecklin at the North Las Vegas Animal Hospital for about 18 years and can't say enough good things about him. For the past 13 years we've been married, I've been taking our dogs there as well. It is always quick and easy to get in to see the doctor. Our experience has always been professional, friendly, and cordial. Yes, the staff is often teenagers, but they're all animal lovers and do show compassion to the animals. Their boarding/kennel operation is fantastic! It's VERY inexpensive, and you don't HAVE to make an appointment (though it's preferred). I've had emergencies come up, or simply on a whim the wife and I decide to go out of town for the weekend and they are ALWAYS more than accomodating, including a free bath on the last day of the pet's stay! My only disappointment is that they used to exercise the animals several times a day in the empty lot (desert) next to the hospital, but it's now been covered up with a shopping mall. We've moved to the far northwest part of Las Vegas, but will still continue to use Dr. Stoecklin and company due to their tremendous service. Walt D in LV Read Less
