Banfield Pet Hospital

Reno, Nevada
General Info
Banfield Pet Hospital delivers uniform veterinary services while providing expert insights in Reno. The clinic customizes its services for each specific occasion and animal whether it’s a first puppy checkup or a senior pet re-evaluation. Every consultation starts with inquiries into household alterations where everything from new foods and supplements to variations in energy levels and social behavior including bathroom patterns are examined. Medical assessments proceed from head to tail while practitioners evaluate joint function, muscle tone, oral health, skin texture, weight history, and internal sounds which they then record. Banfield Pet Hospital provides preventive exams alongside vaccinations as well as internal testing while also offering weight and diet support plus pain management together with dental evaluations and in-house treatment for allergies ear infections and mobility issues. Veterinarians might suggest irregular appointment schedules for long-term health problems while proposing seasonal checkups based on the pet’s age and health status. Healthcare providers might perform laboratory tests or imaging procedures when patient symptoms evolve over time or behavioral changes indicate potential complexity. Clients depart with physical notes alongside digital access to their charts timelines and reminders. The determination of optional follow-ups depends on pet type condition severity and lifestyle. Families that have several animals or caretakers frequently choose bundled visits or staggered pacing for convenience. Depending on individual requirements, behavior plans might be proposed alongside adjustments to home mobility setups. The Banfield Pet Hospital team strives to transform Reno veterinary care into a predictable and stress-free experience. Through the development of consistent practices combined with adapting to Nevada life property owners gain the ability to take early action while remaining informed and feeling supported throughout their journey.

They are simply amazing. I take my pets to this location and the doctors and staff are kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable. Also, I don't feel like they rip me off with services that I don't need. They are very sensitive to budget and cost. I had to put a cat down and I've never had to do that before. They were so amazingly understanding as it was my sons cat and so kind to him when we said goodbye. I have the wellness plan and if you don't take your pet here, your nuts. :) Read Less

Came to NV from Fl. Needed my pets prescription filled (have a wellness account) was told I'm "literally breaking the law" to have a prescription filled w/o vet seeing the dogs. Obviously, they were seen in FL and the vet there made sure they had a refill for their non-narcotic Rimadyl. My dog needs her Rimadyl after a 2900 mile trek. She has run out, so I was just trying to help my girl and they were so, very rude and unsympathetic on the phone. To add I'm an hour away from their location and an hour and a half from the Sparks location. The Sparks location HELPED me immensely thank goodness for them. They refilled the prescription with the vets consent. SMH. Thank you for making me feel like a criminal trying to help my fur baby Reno Banfield. Read Less

They offer a wellness plan for your pets here. This plan covers things like vet visits, vaccinations, dental cleanings, blood work, and the more expensive plan covers x-rays these plans start at $27.99/month. Considering that bloodwork alone can cost around $200, and vet visits are about $75-150 depending on the vet, this seems like a great value to me. More importantly, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. You can add services in to your monthly payments, such as heart worm treatment, spay/neuter, etc...Read Less

This was the absolute worst experience of my life! If I could rate it 0 stars, I definitely would! First off, the place was filthy, let my cat down while inside the office and when I picked her back up I noticed stains of feces on the floor and my cat was covered in dust, dirt, and I don't know what other white matter was all over her. This place is WAY overpriced and they try and charge you for things that you do NOT need! You are better off going with a car salesman! They charged me for a service that I CLEARLY stated I did not want! I told the vet tech I was thought the price was completely different, yet she still went on and called the vet to complete the check up (after we talked about how I was told the price was less than half of what they wanted o charge me! Staff was COMPLETELY RUDE AND SO UNPROFESSIONAL, definitely not worth it! DO NOT GO HERE! There are so many other pet clinics in Reno, that have better staff, better value, and are much more qualified!Read Less
