Unfortunately, I was highly disappointed with the way my pet and I were cared for at our last visit here. Mind you, it was in March but over the weekend I was again disappointed with the service. In March, I took my 15yr old dog in for her 2nd round of comprehensive exam, lab work, urinalysis included in her wellness plan for the year. I dropped her off at 9am and was told they'd call when she was done sometime around noon. So 1pm rolls around, no call. I call them and they say, "sorry she's not done but will be ready by 3pm". I'm running a little behind trying to close up shop at my own business. About 4pm I call to say I'm on my way. I'm informed, she still hadn't been examined by the doctor but was assured she would be by the time I get there (about 30min). When I arrive, I am again told she STILL wasn't examined by the doctor! We wait about 15min out front, I'm getting impatient, then the CSC brings her out to me and says "the doctor still has to examine her, but you can hold on to her since I know you're in a hurry." Funny thing, I wasn't in a hurry at all, I was pissed my dog had been there for 7.5hrs and not seen by the doctor. When the doctor finally comes out, we don't even go in a room, she just gives her the once over, listens to her heart and lungs and then proceeds to tell me about her bloodwork. Then, this is the greatest part, she tells me they were unable to get a urine from her. For her, this is important due to age, a kidney value that is off and history of crystals. Now I know, from experience (and by that I mean 10 years in veterinary care, 8 months in a chartered banfield -in a different state- that I actually loved), that if you can't get a free catch urine, you do a cysto and get it straight from the source. I also know that my little old dog is more than happy to give up her urine, however, she will not go potty in a cage. So we leave, I live exactly 1mile away, 5min from walking out the entrance to pulling into my driveway at max. My little lady cannot even wait to go to the backyard. She runs straight to the front yard, which they never go out to, and urinates halfway on the grass, halfway on the driveway!!!!! 8 hours now she has been waiting to go to the bathroom but they can't get a urine from her?! Needless to say I was furious with them! And even better, since I already paid for the plan, I'm losing out on money and having a more current urinalysis for her since THEY couldn't complete the service they were supposed to. The incident over the weekend that prompted me to leave a review: I needed a medication refill. While picking up food at PetSmart, we are standing at the front desk, which has no employee. After a few minutes, a woman (the veterinarian) walks out of the restroom, looks right at me and doesn't even make an effort to ask me if I've been helped or need something, not even hi or a smile and then she walks through an exam room and into the back. I can see them through the window doing things, no pet in any of their hands, and carrying on conversation, still no one comes out to the front. After about 10min, I said forget it and walked away!
